Love those curves
OK, who the heck is this? I want to cast him in my movie.
A better writer than I, can probably put words to this. :)
Jeeeeeeeez, this is WEIRD. Just uncanny. This is exactly what was in my head when I wrote this: (except Erik's hair is much longer)

Wow, this is such excellent meta....perfectly encapsulates some of the wrongness I've been trying to articulate to myself since I started reading the books back in 1998.

Seeing this post reminds me that someone I’ve known for years, and who has a rather expensive college degree, said these exact words to me in regard to ASOIAF/Game of Thrones this past Tuesday at a gaming tournament:
"Things were just like that back then.”
There were not...
Alright, first things first, WARNINGS, in various combinations: possible spoilers, slavery, racial slurs, war, Holocaust references, implied underage, implied incest, intoxication, underage drinking.
Problem: want to create something, but don’t feel like drawing. Solution: make mock book designs of favourite fanfics for type practice. Consider this to be the cousin of this series. Typography isn’t my forte, but hopefully there shouldn’t be too many atrocious choices made there. Do drop a note if that isn’t the case OTL In retrospect, most of these would probably not make very good covers because they’re on the understated side, but then again, I wouldn’t want curious visitors going through my bookshelves to get too curious either.
Links to the fics: 10th Century Boys series by khaleesian - Powered historical AU with VIKINGS. You can’t go wrong with that.
Father Charles series by Yahtzee - Sensitively-written, non-preachy, non-bashing fic on religion? Yes, that is possible. Also one of the very few kidfics I enjoy reading in this fandom, which is quite a feat tbh.
fool me once, fool me twice by musical emjay - Two broken people in a quietly destructive relationship. Will rip your heart to shreds.
A Deeper Season by etirabys - Will also rip your heart to shreds, but will attempt to patch it up afterwards.
I'm a fan.
I was in India. Maybe this year. :)

I have been here several times and never seen it lit up like this. It's actually a much darker, more atmospheric place. This picture doesn't do it the slightest justice.
Basilica Cistern (by maxunterwegs)
The Basilica Cistern (Turkish: Yerebatan Sarayı - “Sunken Palace”, or Yerebatan Sarnıcı - “Sunken Cistern”), is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul (formerly Constantinople), Turkey. The cistern, located 500 feet (150 m) southwest of the Hagia Sophia on the historical peninsula of Sarayburnu, was built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.
Scary equations ahead.
I love this shit.
