personal take from a research freak that i think most folks will agree with past the ol’ library sentiments is how much cheap n’ otherwise used books should not be so underestimated, if it says it is in usable condition, with atleast no pages missing amongst the otherwise advertised damages, you should snatch em up
in most cases it will be a little weather beaten, carry lingering touches both gentle and roughed up, yearning for knowledge at the height of it's quintessence cannot be accomplished without acknowledging what might be wiped out entirely
be the aesthetic academician™️ you want to fantastize about being
You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).
Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.
can i come over and implant false memories of us being childhood friends?
apologies for beatin a dead horse but i just felt like expanding onto the tidbit about the grazing goats n’ sheep as there are a handful of fleets of those herds out munching on and on the populous biomass like land rovers with tailored diets, nor just damaging grass, sheep clear out spaces for the sake of basically, land control for wildfires
by consuming more summer desiccated species, low layers, getting eye level with the hangin branches, without the goats there all these invasions are j gettin ready to lay out the red carpet hollerin for the next one
just last spring a whole herd of em did enough firefighting in the parks of bosques de chacay to prevent smokin spreads all out there, a whole ecosystem, pero, salvado, afortunadamente, gracias unas cabritas
so when all these shepherds within parts of southwestern europe and of course, ever drougt ridden brushlands of the western u.s are relied for the helping hooves their herds to make a suitable income, flaying usage of nastier removals, come out here from there usual means cause fingers pointed at whats better whats not, where to go, what to do, from the people out here barkin up knots over postured pasture
not being allowed to be, checks notes, ah righ’ smothered to death by the weight of their wool, knowin darn well once the cameras are off, many of the folks clamoring about, same animals they so desperately wanna see reach safety are served way worse plights n’ locked up n’ pens in the middle o’nowhere
enough bout that though, all should pickle a cute goat infomercial in their brains.
I'm still sick and my internet connection here is too bad for me to connect to my Minecraft server, so following my curiosity from the weird scam dog rescue, I have been going through animal-related tags on Instagram and finding a million of "farmed animal sanctuaries"
From one point of view, it's cool that there are places where animals that fall upon bad luck can be sold to have their health needs paid for and live out the rest of their lives.
But from the other point of view, it's infuriating that annoying rich people have started buying land, farm equipment, and animals so they can create a """farm""" that doesn't provide for their needs or any other person's needs, and post pictures of it to Instagram with captions about how cruel farming is and how evil it is to profit off of animals.
These folks buy animals at livestock auctions that require thousands of dollars to pay for their vet expenses, all the while ranting about how evil farmers are for selling the animals
As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
It's funny seeing Anime Only people complained about Marcille being not very deep like don't worry you will learn of her crimes soon
i only just now got word of the death of good ol’ kissingers passin n’ good riddance, today is a day to celebrate, not just for the death of a war criminal, but that people will forever magnify light over the dirty tracks he tried throwing a rug on for generations.
no faulty award purchased through the years of pro-war propaganda comes without it’s —

hey let's start spreading the reminder now that you cannot safely self-manage an abortion with herbal medicine or essential oils. natural abortifacients function by poisoning you; you wait for your body to realize you're dying and reject the pregnancy in order to conserve resources, and hope that happens before the rest of your organs shut down.
i think there will be an upsurge soon of unscrupulous and/or malicious actors preying on desperate pregnant people; do not help them kill people. don't spread recipes for herbal medicines or ingestible essential oil mixtures that purport to cause a pregnancy termination.
today on "how can I combine my interests": variations of volcarona based on stellar classification!
actual stars are classified based on their spectral characteristics and temperature/color from hottest (bluest) to coldest (reddest) with a strangely ordered letter system: O, B, A, F, G, K, M... why not do the same for this stellar moth?
some other info:
o-type volcarona are incredibly rare and are considered "shiny" pokemon
m-type volcarona can come in the largest variety of sizes from large enough to easily carry a person to about the size of a cat
k-type volcarona are the most common, with the higher temperature ones becoming increasingly more rare (and m is about as rare as g)
while there could be b- and a-type volcarona between o and f, the latter two are so rare that there's no reason to split the categories up further
alder's volcarona is the g-type one shown here, and the m-type one belongs to cyrus in my au
the pupa/cocoon stage is too short relative to the other two stanges to be considered its own separate evolutionary stage like other similar bug type pokemon
