I Signed Up For The Malevolent Big Bang Again, And This Year I Got To Do Art For Eyes Only For You, A

Page 1 of a three page comic. John is shown cradling Arthur and crying. John is a being with dark, nearly black skin, golden eyes, long black hair, antlers, a lower half made of tentacles, wearing a golden robe. Arthur is wearing the maroon robe from the season 4 finale, and he is covered in blood. It is visibly night time. John’s speech bubbles are black with gold text. John says, “Please don’t go. I can’t lose you.” The next panel shows John’s face, partially buried in Arthur’s hair. He says, “Not you. Not again. None of this is worth it without you.” The next panel shows Arthur’s face. His eyes are dull, and he seems to be bleeding from them. He says, “It’s alright… At least I died doing something useful this time.” His speech bubbles are white with black text, and very wobbly in shape. A small “heh…” at the bottom of his speech bubble indicates a weak laugh. What follows is several scenes from Malevolent, shown in panels shaped like shattered golden glass: Arthur’s angry expression as he argues with John, Arthur getting shot in episode 9, the aftermath of Arthur biting off John’s pinkie and having it replaced with wood, Arthur and John in the prison pits, Arthur and John facing the King in Yellow, Arthur using Kayne’s dagger to cut his throat, Arthur’s bloodied fist in the aftermath of him killing Uncle, Arthur getting impaled by Larson’s monster, Kayne grinning at the viewer, and a bloody axe. Arthur is saying, “And know this, John. I don’t… I don’t regret this, any of this. I would do it again if it would lead to you finally having your own body. The next panel shows Arthur reaching up with a bloodied hand to wipe John’s tears as John looks down at him with a stricken expression. Arthur says, “Thank you, John.” The last panel shows John continuing to cry as Arthur cradles his face, presses a kiss to his jaw, and says, “For everything.”
Page 2 of a three page comic. The first panel shows a close up of Arthur’s eye as it falls shut. The next panel shows Arthur’s hand falling from John’s face. The last shot shows John clutching Arthur’s body tightly, his face buried in Arthur’s shoulder. His tentacles are spread out around him in the snow, which is stained with Arthur’s blood. The background shows a wavy golden line stretching from the top of the page to the center. It gradually decreases in width until it vanishes.
Page 3 of a three page comic. The first panel shows an overhead view of the scene. John is still cradling Arthur. Kayne stands behind them, holding something in his fist. Kayne is a man with long black hair in a ponytail, bright red eyes, hands and bare feet covered in blood, and wearing a black suit with a red tie. The ground is snowy and they are surrounded by pine trees covered in snow. The next panel has a bright red background and shows Kayne slapping his fist open against the back of his other hand. There is an onomatopoeia above his hand that reads “SMACK.” Panel 3 shows Kayne looking down at the coin on the back of his hand with a bored and disinterested expression. His speech bubbles are dark red and bordered with black hatching. His text is white and in a slightly different font. He says, “Well.” The next panel shows Kayne tucking the coin into his pocket as he says, “That’s disappointing.” The last panel of the comic shows a close up of John’s eyes, wide, glowing, and filled with rage.
Page 1 of a three page comic. Arthur and John are shown standing in a museum, looking down at a glass display case. John is in his human form, with brown skin and long black hair in a ponytail, and he is wearing a brown suit. Arthur is wearing a grey suit and round glasses with dark lenses. The background is olive green. John, with his face turned away from the camera, says, “Do you think that these fawns… If they had survived…” He turns his head to the left towards Arthur and says, “Do you think they would have liked it? Being… being like this. Arthur is shown looking at John before turning away from the camera and saying, “I don’t know.”
Page 2 of a three page comic. The two headed-fawn is shown in the first panel. It is brown with white spots along its back, and its limbs are arranged to make it look like it’s sleeping. Arthur’s dialogue is positioned above the fawn, without speech bubbles. He says, “They… might have struggled, both in terms of food and finding mates later on in life. Besides, if the writing is to be believed, their organism would be severely weakened by having to support two minds which do not always cooperate, for instance about which meadow to graze on or which path to take to flee from a predator.” The next two panels show John and Arthur’s faces, arranged to resemble a being with two heads, with John facing the left side of the page and Arthur facing the right. There are golden thorns in the background of John’s panel and sunflowers in the background of Arthur’s. John says, “Right. Maybe… maybe it was for the best that they died before they could live. They would have only suffered.” Arthur replies, “Now, I don’t think it’d be all doom and gloom for them. Look at us-.” In the next panel, he’s shown nudging John with his elbow with a small smile on his face. John is still frowning. Arthur says, “We made it just fine, didn’t we? Even if we did spend a substantial amount of our time arguing.”
Page 3 of a three page comic. The background is solid black. In the top left corner of the page are yellow thorns, and in the bottom right corner are sunflowers. In the top-center of the page is a colorless image of John and Arthur with yellow lineart. John is depicted as a featureless shadowy figure with yellow eyes. John and Arthur have gold shackles around their wrists and are tangled in gold chains, and are visibly angry and straining against them. The chains spiral towards the bottom of the page and are replaced by two spinal cords, which then fuse into one. In the bottom-center of the page is an image of John and Arthur clutching each other in an embrace. In the top right of the page is a colored panel of John, frowning and looking down, saying, “Separation would have killed them. With the way their spines fused together, neither would have been able to live without the other.” In the bottom left of the page is a colored panel of Arthur with a small smile on his face, saying “Or maybe they would have learned to become friends, After all, two heads are better than one.”
Page 1 of a three page comic. Three panels are at the top of the page, colored with a monochromatic light gold color scheme. They depict Arthur smiling towards the viewer, presumably looking at John; Arthur and John walking together with their arms linked; and John smiling down at Arthur. The panels look to be burning away, with the panel shapes become progressively more blackened and burnt from left to right. Behind the three panels, the background is black, with an image of a burning tree with yellow lineart. The embers from the panels and the tree fall towards the middle of the page. Arthur is shown sitting at a table, turning to the right to look at John, who is facing away from him, his head bowed and his hand gripping a doorframe. Above John and Arthur is the line “Time to wake up from this dream” in bold yellow text. The next two panels show John standing before an open door, his back toward the camera and his head bowed. In the second panel, he says, “Goodbye, Arthur.”
Page 2 of a three page comic. The first panel shows John turned towards Arthur. He is crying, his nose and the area around his eyes is reddened, and there is a pained smile on his face. His eyes, usually bright gold, are grey and desaturated. He says, “And… whatever happens… know that I loved you more than anything in this world or any other.”The next panel shows a side view of Arthur looking at John in shock. The next three panels show John stepping out of the door and leaving, with two panels in between showing Arthur standing from his chair and opening his mouth to call after John. The last panel of the page is pure black, with a single “click” onomatopoeia.
Page 3 of a three page comic. Arthur, stunned, is shown standing alone before a pure black background.

I signed up for the Malevolent Big Bang again, and this year I got to do art for Eyes Only For You, a post-Malevolent Season 4 au fic written by the phenomenal @shadowy-dumbo-octopus!! Be sure to check this story out, it's absolutely gorgeous and Posi deserves it!

(Holy shit this fic is so good. It's so scrumptious. I fuckin CRIED. I was on the FLOOR. And there's over 100K words of it!!!!)

I couldn't pick just one moment from the story to adapt into a comic, so I didn't - I picked three! I'm very happy with all of them!

I also got to work with my fellow artists @chaocorvus, @michaelshelley36, and @earlymorningfoxhunt on a collab piece included in the fic itself! Be sure to also check out the art they did for this story! They're all so amazingly talented and I had a great time working with them! Thank you so much to them and Posi for being such wonderful partners!

And thank you to @malevolentbigbang for making this event possible!

Yeah, I Like Me Some Vampire Leland Too 😄

Yeah, I like me some vampire Leland too 😄

Also, sorry it wasn’t the car version, I personally like drawing human versions better 🤷‍♀️

The Resurrection of Leland Turbo

I have a very very specific animatic that I imagine in my head. Undecided if I want to pay or kill to see it realized /j.

Just before the Professor is on the oil rig but a bit after Leland is cubed by the lemons, a (miraculous?) change happens to our poor spy.

Just like what happened to our favorite haunted 1958 Plymouth Fury, an unnatural life takes hold of our dearly departed C.H.R.O.M.E. agent.

The entire cube shakes and trembles as the internal systems are rearranged and readjusted to the unrunning life of a vampire car. The internal temperature drastically drops, creating frost on the inside of the crate.

The first parts of Leland Turbo to be repaired are the tires. The lugnuts are drawn from his own metal frame as the rubber is reinflated and tire spikes emerge out.

Next are the wing mirrors, bursting out from the sides and elongating into the elegant bat ear shapes.

The entire frame then shudders as every dent, compression, scratch and fracture is undone. Even the maroon paintjob is completely recovered as the windshield collects all of the shattered glass pieces and fused back into a single pane with a permanent tint. The teeth are forcibly changed into razor sharp fangs as the oral lubricant also drops to freezing cold temperatures.

The last thing that is fixed is the eyes, a gradual gradient in the irises from their original living color to a bright blood red and the pupils shift from round to snake like slits.

@cars2-renaissance, @little-red-irish-jaguar, @kenzie-the-drawer, and any other fan of Leland Turbo

Finn and Leland in Japan! <3

I imagine this scenario being one of Finn and Leland’s spy missions, and it happens to be in Japan.

Probably after a while of doing they’re spy stuff, they both decide to just hang out and have fun in Japan. In a cute and romantic way ;)

And, I think it would be funny that Leland doesn’t really understand Japanese, but Finn does and can speak it. Which I guess can create a funny scenario for both of them, but mostly Leland 🙃

Big booty he got lol

Tbh, I wish I can give you good advice for this perspective issue but perspective is something I’m still trying to learn. My suggestion is to probably make his body wider, so that his behind isn’t so off

(Based on what your planing it draw, I probably just convert it into a little side angle if that makes sense)
