Brilliant gold band on a turkey feather I found on the snow.
The Blood Moon is almost upon us. It is when there will be a total lunar eclipse, where the earths shadow will turn the Moon a blood red colour. The Blood Moon will be visible worldwide.
One of the great things about lunar eclipses is that they are completely safe to view with the naked eye. No special filters are required to protect your eyes like those used for solar eclipses. You donāt even need a telescope to watch the eclipse, although a good pair of binoculars will help.
In Paganism a Blood Moon opens a gateway into the heavens as the Earth, Sun and Moon align. For a brief moment in time we can commune with the spirit world and other realms.
In many religions this is a great Omen, many Christians believe it will be the return of their savior Jesus. The King James Bible predicts: āThe sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes,ā [Joel 2:31] The Blood Moon is also on the same day as the Jewish feast of Passover. And is just before Easter.
The Blood Moon is part of a very rare event which is called a Tetrad where there are 4 blood moons in a row. They are spaced out between each other 6 month apart, this gives us 666 between the Blood Moons which has some Christians and Jews worried. The First Blood moon was 15th April 2014, the second was on 8th October 2014, the third is on April 4th 2015 and the final one will be on 28th September 2015.

Fall coming to New Hampshire
Would we see through such fog, that oppressive grey dark that falls around us? Our leader cries out, "Hello, Hello, for love's sake Hello and come to our aide." The darkness swells and ebbs. It swallows sounds, the cries of our leader, echo fades with our recoil. Ā
The road we tread, broken and overgrown. Shapes in the mist, faint sounds behind are but the ghosts that stalk our steps. Ā The strongest of us falter and shake, no rest, no sleep in this journey unending. "We will die here" are the whispers. Ā We keep moving into the grey dark. One by one our band dwindles and the shadows in the grey multiply. Those of us left hear familiar voices then nothing.
"Hello! Hello, for love's sake Hello..."
... we... you... help...
