the hate i see from F1 fans towards drivers that aren't their favorite is wild. wishing mechanical issues? injury? death? if you're that comfortable hoping for someone to get hurt or die in a sport that you watch on TV from the comfort of your couch, then you need to get your mental health checked. a large portion of these drivers are really just nerds who grew up in the sport, love to drive fast cars, and hope to win the championship for their team and themselves.

at the end of the day they are still human beings with real feelings, mental health struggles, and other personal life hurdles you know nothing about. i hope the people who think it's normal and okay to make health or death threats to any the drivers get the help they need.

definitely plan on enjoying F1 my way, where i actually like most all of the drivers and cheer them on when they succeed even when it's not my team.

This is literally why people aren’t that sad… I empathize with his family of course that they lost a loved one, but he made money off the deaths of so many more. It shouldn’t have had to come to this, but when people do not listen, drastic measures must be taken.

I can’t stop thinking about the uhc shooter and what a wild experience he must be having right now. Idk how much you can look at the news or scroll the internet while on the run for murder, but man. Imagine. You spend who knows how long planning a brazen public assassination, cleanly pop a dude in the middle of one of the busiest downtowns in the world, bike away fueled by nothing but the thrill of vengeance and some Starbucks, and spark one of the largest manhunts in recent history. And when you finally go online to see what you’ve wrought, the entire world is laugh reacting NYT headlines and has collectively decided that you’re off the hook this time, king.

Then pictures of your face get released 24 hours later and everyone is like actually this guy did nothing wrong AND he’s hot.

It just frustrates me that with everything going on in the world, I can’t fix everything and solve everything perfectly. I know I’m not perfect and I can’t ever be and of course it’s okay that I can’t fix everything and do everything right, and I should be okay with that. But I’m not.
