Ok, this is gonna be a long post. But hopefully, this will help you understand this very important piece of Kaylor evidence and explain LSK a bit better too.

Love Blackout Meaning

So all this Love Blackout discourse comes from those Glitch lyrics:

"But it's been 2190 days of out love blackout, the system's breaking down"

First, let's start by looking at what Love Blackout is supposed to mean:

"A suppression of information, especially one imposed on the media by the government"

Interesting... a suppression of information imposed on the medias 🤔

Like not being seen/papped together by the medias??? Maybe.

2190 days

Knowing Taylor, she wouldn't use 2190, a very specific number, for it to mean nothing would she??

So what does 2190 days means in years? It's 6 years:

Didn't she recently talked about a relationship, 6 years AND the medias recently?:

Yes! In her Lavender Haze Instagram Reel! The same where she talked about that scene in Mad Men 🤔

"Like my relationship FOR 6 years"

Funny how she didn't say her relationship OF 6 years.

She wanted to protect the real stuff from media, in the last 6 years.

So if you count the days backward since Midnights release on October 21st 2022 it gives you Octobre 22nd 2016.

The last time Karlie and Taylor were papped together was at Drake's birthday on Octobre 23rd.

But The Love Blackout was not over on Midnights release day.

Taylor and Karlie were still not papped together at an event (they weren't papped at reputation stadium tour, they just posted a picture together). So Midnights release day should count in our calculation. And if you include that day. It ends exactly on Octobre 23rd 2016.

Before taking a deep dive into this Love Blackout, let's take a moment to talk about Octobre 2016.

Because A LOT of important stuff happened that month.

Karlie and Taylor last event that they attended together (except reputation) is Lorde's birthday on Novembre 7th 2016.

On Novembre 7th Taylor posted this picture:

And Karlie posted the same picture the day after on Novembre 8th:

It's the last post about them attending an event together (beside reputation).

The presidentatial election also happenened on Novembre 8th 2016, and Trump was elected... (I believe this is important).

So the last post of them at an event together is on Novembre 8th 2016. Wich means that the Love Blackout would have started the day after right?

Exactly 2190 days since the blood moonlit night followingg Midnights release.

And something tells me that this specific date is really important in their story, because here's a screenshot of The Man MV:

I think she wore this ring there, knowing that they won't be seen together after as a way of being able to flag Karlie in the future.

There's a very interesting entry in her Lover Journal that talks EXACTLY about the Love Blackout:

Kaylor anniversary is March 6th 2014. So Jan 2017 is close enough to that anniversary.

Plus, 3 years for Toe would have been in 2019, wich doesn't match the "couple of years" of LPSS...

Taylor is paped going out of a gym in LA.

It's the first time that she is paped in a couple of months.

So I was listening to Down Bad, and along with “like I lost my twin” and “leaving me safe and stranded” I spotted the most obvious line that the song is about a woman!

Okay I gotta ask because I keep seeing this phrase here and on Twitter too. What is yellow brick road in connection to Taylor? I’m new to this side of the fandom and would be grateful if you explain it. Thanks!

I would love to! So as we know the yellow brick road has direct connections to Dorothy. And in queer history we coined the term Friend of Dorothy as a way to say you are queer because the Wizard of Oz as a whole is extremely queer coded.

When evermore released, we got the song Dorothea and all of us knew Taylor's intention behind that was a nod to "friend of Dorothea". This became the overarching term besides gaylors that we began using for the community! Then a well known gaylor that Taylor has interacted with before, Tess, made a whole podcast called friends of dorothea.

This only encouraged Taylor to incorporate friend of dorothy more into her art! That's when we got things like the Karma MV where she is dressed as dorothy and she is walking the yellow brick road on the screaming color side rather than the dark gloomy "all you want is grey for me" side.

We also then got the mashup of it's nice to have a friend x dorothea when Taylor chose to sing "It's nice to have dorothea" as in it's nice to have a friend of dorothy! Dorothea being Karlie.

So flash forward, if you go to Taylor's instagram she has developed a consistent pattern where for the entire left side of her posts she is dressed in yellow. Not only that, but she is getting closer and closer in distance as the posts continue. All of this currently leading up to her pinned where she is holding the screaming color book, and the TTPD all you want is grey for me vinyl.

This is seemingly a direct reference to the Karma friend of dorothy visual. (Which btw in the MV is depicted as a book with 2 sides)

The purpose? Because at the end of the yellow brick road is the Wizard, where dreams come true. But as we know in the movie, the Wizard is a facade. And the curtain gets pulled revealing the truth....

So it is believed that Taylor is pointing to the fact that she is nearing the end of her Brand facade. And she is going to pull the curtain, revealing everything, and step into the daylight emerging as Taylor the person only!

In short, the yellow brick road is the road to her true freedom. And she is letting us know that she is almost done walking it!!!!

The notion that Taylor doesn't like gaylors is so funny to me. We're truly the biggest nerds in this fandom and you cannot convince me she isn't into that. Who else is out here reading Untamed and Dickinson and analysing The Wizard of Oz and The Truman Show and learning so much about queer history and listening to Dusty Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, James Taylor and countless of other artists, analysing their lyrics, making connections, and all that not just because of her, but because we're truly in it now. And whether the connections we're seeing are real is truly anyone's guess, but I don't think it matters so much as the act of engaging in these artists' works, really diving in there, attempting to understand and actually SEE them and what they've been trying to say. You cannot honestly believe that this type of shit isn't EXACTLY what Taylor would want us to be doing.
