Chewing and gnawing on the irony One Piece continually shows with the main characters where they're doing objectively kind and helpful things and that's what gets them in trouble with the law. It's the selective application of criminal justice. The bias and room for corruption built into the system itself. It's delicious. It's horribly relevant. I'm obsessed.
oh my god...
so the first screenshot is trying to look this up on tiktok normally, "donald trump rigged election" and it says that search violates community guidelines.
the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.
THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.
POV: you are being judged on Great British Bake Off
Everyone say thank you american indigenous people for cultivating corn, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, cacao, pumpkin, squash, and anything i missed. Makes life more meaningful globally
reasons to write fanfiction (I'll start):
share a cool scene that popped into your head
evoke a particular emotion the canon makes you feel
song made you think of a character or idea from canon
make people feel the same way about a character you do
make dolls kiss for fun
explore ideas the canon hints at but doesn't do anything with
traumatize characters and make them suffer
coddle characters and let them rest
had an insane idea for a crack ship and now everyone needs to know
the author of the canon was wrong and must be fixed
use familiar characters to explore your own ideas and plotlines
canon is too short and you need to wallow in the universe of the story
She's so pretty here ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
(And she is living proof that Oda can design beautiful women without excessive fanservice, so that makes me love her even more)
words can't describe how much i love these three, especially hiyori. i missed my girl so much ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
our petty king~
Do you think the strawhats had a heated debate about this over supper one time?
repeat it with me :
ROMANCE-AVERSE AND ROMANCE-REPULSED AROMANTICS ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR AVERSION/REPULSION!
ROMANCE-INDIFFERENT AROMANTICS ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO CARE ABOUT ROMANCE!
ROMANCE-FAVOURABLE AND ROMANCE-AMBIVALENT AROMANTICS ARE NOT LESS AROMANTIC FOR ENJOYING ROMANCE IN SOME WAYS!
FEMALE AROMANTICS ARE NOT 'QUIRKY' PICK-MES OR OLD MAIDS!
MALE AROMANTICS ARE NOT INCELS OR MISOGYNISTS!
NON-BINARY AROMANTICS ARE VALID AND SHOULD BE SUPORTED AND ARE NOT FADDISH!
ALLOSEXUAL AROMANTICS ARE NOT WHORES OR PROSTITUTES FOR HAVING SEXUAL ATTRACTION AND NOT ROMANTIC ATTRACTION!
ASEXUAL AROMANTICS ARE NOT INCOMPLETE OR MISSING SOMETHING!
AROMANTICS DON'T OWE YOU A RELATIONSHIP!
AROMANTICS DON'T OWE YOU LOVE OF ANY KIND!
If I see another comment about how they hate hiyori because "zoro deserves better, he doesn't even like her, she is so annoying when she interacts with zoro" I'm gonna f murder someone
Its 2024, almost 2025, can we stop reducing female characters to their "romantic interests"?
She is such a complex character, strong without the need to pick up a weapon and has one of my favorite scenes in all of wano when she finally gets her revenge but nooooo let's reduce her to "the annoying chick with a crush on zoro"
what I find wonderfully intriguing about kuina is her confidence!!, the way she may act arrogant yet hides a fear of falling behind that she just accepted for the most part, before the promise... I just adore her headstrong personality and slightly cocky demeanor so much. gah. usually when you think "dead childhood friend to strong tough guy who's motivated by a promise he made to her" you think of a gentle girl who was kind and loving and saw the beauty in every living thing; and while I do appreciate those characters, kuina's rage strikes a chord with me. her frustration was so strong that zoro would never forget it. and like, same lol. kuina was zoro's rival, the daughter of the head of the dojo, the cool and undefeated older sister figure hiding a deep insecurity insisted by what she had been taught about being a woman. and she was fucking MAD about it, and I'm obsessed with it!!!! she was mad at being born a girl because she had been taught that meant she could not achieve her dream. she was cool and collected but also fierce and angry and sad and only just 11 years old. her memory persists.
in the manga, I think the main memory of her is kuina crying, telling zoro he was lucky he was born a boy. this does kinda fit the "lovely somber girl, victim of the world's cruelty" image more, which is why I AM SO CRAZY OVER EPISODE 19 FOR WHAT THEY GAVE US ON KUINA. her relationship with her father, the interactions with zoro, and fight 2001 is always so vivid and haunting to me. SHE!!! exposing a vulnerability and making a promise just to die the next day. back to the "tough guy remembering the past which motivates him" trope thing: it'd be the girl smiling and saying something touching or heartfelt, yeah? well for zoro it's kuina beating him 2000 times at something he was good at. for zoro it's her defeating him for a 2001st fight WITH REAL SWORDS and then crying about it. for zoro it's seeing someone he respects crumble and fall apart. the memories of her he holds onto are mostly her fighting and being sad... her strength and fears... Man these kids drive me crazy
She/her (Although I don't really care tbh) I'm also aromantic and cisgender.
