I want my blog to be mostly positive and mostly witchy, but given the state of things, I feel I need to share some things because I am angry. Just know, I say these things as they are what I witnessed and grew up being around. Growing up, my (step)family and I were Catholics. I'm not obviously anymore but they still are. We lived in rural Kansas where there was more livestock than people.
These people wouldn't know kindness if it bit them in the ass. When my mom and step dad got married, I was informed and reminded repeatedly that I would never be a real sister, cousin, and I wasn't a part of the family. Mental health issues were a sign of weakness, and I was bullied by peers and adults alike for being too sensitive. Bullying was an everyday occurrence, and I really struck a nerve when I found their mother's suicide note, it was four pages. I read it. Being only 13 years old, I understood
They were also racist, so racist one of my sisters got caught kissing a guy that was not white, I remember a lot of yelling being involved, maybe more but not 100% sure. Throughout this weird Catholic community we also had a lot of Latino people. At school, my peers weren't allowed to speak Spanish, even at recess it was always met with "We speak English here!" I was there at the beginning of the whole "Mexicans are taking our jobs!" In our dating years, we didn't dare bring anybody home that wasn't white.
Being LGBT...um..."Not the way God intended." Is the kindest way to say how it wasn't welcomed. This was met with insults, hate, and biblical rhetoric. And threatened to be disowned if we were.
It's also very much a Pro-life area, growing up during the Summer every other Sunday afternoon all us little chickens and some older chickens would flock to the highway with some Pro-life signs from the church basement and stand along the highway with our signs for a couple of hours.
These people cannot be reasoned with, they refuse to even remotely listen. This mindset has been ingrained in people's brains. Even in my town now, there is still hate. A town maybe 30 minutes away was KKK headquarters for my area. If you aren't straight and white, it's tough.
I'm angry and scared, but I refuse to be dragged back into that pit which I dug out from. I will fight as I did before. I'm bisexual, pro-choice, and I love everyone. We are humans, we all bleed red, and we all deserve love and respect. The sun can warm, but it can also scortch and burn, and I will do my best to help comfort those who suffer.
Sharing Joy (built from Sorrow): We lost our long time canine companion in October, after losing my Mother in Law in April. It broke my Husband to lose both in one year, so we re-adopted fairly quickly despite me initially wanting to wait until around Christmas or Tax Season. Her name is now Lily, and she's a Great Pyrenees and Husky mix. She's SUCH a ray of sunshine. She's always happy and playful. But her favorite toy is literally fire logs / pieces of firewood for our fireplace- and her favorite pastime is laying on the couch just chewing on my hand while I'm reading a book 🤣
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. But I'm also happy that you got Lily. She sounds amazing and your home is never boring. 😆

The clairs are a good place to start, but each clair can branch off to different skills/traits. Clairaudience, clear hearing, can branch to telepathy. Personally, I have to write lists and charts, but I wrote categories for all my senses, then I wrote how I felt, heard, smelled, etc. It made deducing and organizing so much easier, but also my notes gave me a sense of direction of what to research.
Hi I have a question! Anytime I am in a peaceful state such as meditation I start to subconsciously think about this situation that hasn’t happened yet. I won’t go into detail into the specifics as it is very personal I was just wondering does this have a name?
I know clairvoyance is hearing/seeing things. I know it’s not that but I can picture things so clearly. I can taste/feel things and have a gut feeling? I’m so sorry if this is confusing!
Hello friend! Up front, I'm not an expert. My experiences still raise a bunch of questions for me.
I guess I'm wondering about the situation you're talking about - is it planned and just hasn't happened yet, or is it totally new to you? If that makes sense. Because that kinda sounds like anxiety. But!
Clairgustance, or "clear tasting" is most definitely a thing, and the other part sounds like intuition.
Like a muscle, psychic abilities can get stronger with practice. Tastes and smells can tell you a lot about a person or situation. Unfortunately I don't have advice on how to practice those things specifically for clairgustance but! The /r/psychic reddit thread had a lot of folks inquiring about it and I saw some good responses so might be worth checking out.
Best of luck friend!

Do you know any good crochet tutorials? :) I always seem to fuck up the rows(?) and like, I'll start with 15 stitches, and next thing you know I've somehow managed to crochet less and less stitches as each row goes on. :")
I don't have any good ones off the top of my head, when I first started crocheting, Youtube was my go to. But also, I practiced with books like this...no frills, there might be some harder stitches in some, but I liked books like that because it gives you the count in () at the end of the step. So like if you needed 6 d double crochets it would like (6 dc count) or something similar.
