Reasons why I miss playing Spore and Wolf Quest as a kid in the family computer room
I donβt mean to be old but computer used to just have games. U didnt have to pay for em either but if u wanted u could get a little CD that put the game onto the computer and you could play it forever and ever even if the company that made it went to hell and shit. You didnβt even need the internet or wifi or anything. And it was pretty neat
What if celestial cottagecore island that mainly has blue, white, green, purple, and gold as a color scheme, and I invite Tia, Baabara, Becky, Ione, Julian, Filbert, Eunice, Diva or Gloria, and Ed? Maybe Muffy? Like... kinda whimsigoth, maybe 60's/ 70's Renaissance revival as well, with a hint of dark fantasy?
You know how every few months I debate restarting my island? I'm getting that itch again lol, I just really love the hustle and bustle of restarting and making everything new and trying to level everything up again, and I love how unique each run is! I've never had the exact same run, and I've TRIED TO a few times just for fun! It's pure joy to have the motivation and goals in the beginning all over again
Plucky moved out! She was one of my starter villagers, so it was kinda sad, but she doesn't fit my theme and isn't really my favorite anyway, so I'm not too mad about it. I went villager hunting today and found Leopold, who's definitely one of my favorites, and while he's not one of my dreamies for this island he really fits my theme and I don't have more nook mile tickets to use currently so I'm just really happy that he matches the themes I have planned and part of my vision for the island! π
I think honesty if I struggle to find one of my dreamies, I might just let Leopold take their place until I can find them. Same with Papi and Lionel, they're all great villagers of a similar color scheme, so it kinda works for me. The only other issue here is that if I see Ed, Julian, or Ione, I might have to keep Filbert and change my theme to celestial or just make my island more blue because they're some of my very favorite villagers

I miss playing D&D so much! It's been years, and the last time I played it, I had my campaign destroyed by a vindictive second DM that I didn't know was angry with me until it was too late (I blame my autism for somehow not reading that on them)... now that my life is more stable without vindictive assholes in it, I want to maybe try again. I found my old notes from a campaign I designed completely myself, and I'm thinking about designing a reboot or making an entirely new campaign just for fun! I missed the chaos and the silly banter, and I can't wait to revive my best character(s) and lay waste to my enemies as a druidic bard, or maybe I'll try monk or paladin againβοΈ
I like rapidly took screenshots Iβm fucking shaking. Holy fuck
FUCK HOLY FUCK
Small spaces on Pirouette
So I started a new island on Valentine's Day (which I'll be sticking with at least for a year, if not forever) because I forgot how great it feels to restart my island and have been thinking about it since January, all thanks to my lovely New Years island known as Cocoa Cove of course, so welcome to my new island Caochan Eit! If you're thinking, "Hey, that's too many characters!", you'd be correct lol, the way I wrote it in the game is simply Caochaneit.
Caochan and Eit are both Gaelic words (as I'm currently learning Gaelic) that are nature themed with "Caochan" meaning 'a small river hidden from view by vegetation' and "Eit" meaning 'quartz stones placed in a river by moonlight in hopes of catching fish'. I think they're great ways to describe my plans for my island, so I'm taking this very literally. I want to create a mystical rural town that specializes in fishing and farming vegetation. Maybe a farm to table even? Kinda dark fantasy vibes, but toned down in most areas... just not in my pine tree forest! That should remain pretty spooky and fantastical! I want it to have very big "they secretly pray, by moonlight, to a giant scary fish deity who is unfathomable and eats people but also blesses their harvests and fishing boats" vibes. It just feels pretty neat
It's going to be mainly practical with elements of the fantastical, and I'm still deciding on dreamies, but Kiki and Vesta seem like a great fit so far! Both have more earthy vibes, both could fit the mystical side of things, and both of them are fairly cottagecore. I also think that Vesta has a distinct "haunted scarecrow" vibe, and Kiki would be great for this village since she has that cute Halloween cat vibe but also seems like just an all around autumnal gal, and I have her amibo card too, so she might be the first villager I invite to stay with me!
I've already gotten all the way to having Isabelle on my island and just created my campsite, so I'm really hopeful that the story mode will pass by pretty quickly so I can simply enjoy villager hunting and decorating my island!

I know everyone says this, but I really do agree that we should be allowed to play as an animal in animal crossing tbh... until then, I'm making my character a fursona!
I love that my fiancΓ© and I kinda have matching islands but in different directions! Mine is a kinda cottagecore village with a welsh name and a tune from Lord Of The Rings/ The Hobbit, and my fiancΓ©'s island is a kinda cottagecore town with a Japanese name and a Studio Ghibli island tune! I love seeing that Lark is visiting from Komorebi with the title "Aspiring Pet" just as much as I'm sure xe loves seeing that Lynx is visiting from Caochan Eit with the title "Festive Pet". My energy is matched SO well down to every little detailπ₯°
Even our island names are kinda matching cottagecore vibes with xyr island name meaning "Light dappling through the trees" and mine meaning "A river hidden by vegetation" and "The act of leaving quartz crystals in riverbeds by moonlight to attract fish". Just very cottagecore vibesπ²ππͺ»
