Wild how so many people are like, "how can adrien not have childhood dreams or even memories of his childhood?" Like really goes to show people think trauma is just being scared sad and mad. No one understands it changes how your brain functions. My childhood wasn't all bad but some traumatic stuff happened to me that wiped entire years of memory. Bad and good. And when my parents bring it up I draw a complete blank because the traumatic events were so overpowering in order to protect myself my brain just made me forget most stuff.
That's probably what's going on with adrien. His childhood was likely very traumatic but his brain is making him forget so he doesn't completely break apart. Hell he probably even has bad memories of emilie but because the loss was so devastating to his family the bad memories were probably forgotten so he's left with the rose colored memories that remain.
Like I haven't seen abuse this accurate in a children's show like ever.
yeah, I feel ya
I can’t believe it… This ep was mind blowing!! Adrien actually owns pajamas!
Marichat cuddles
imagine the gorilla landing a hit on hawkmoth like this
yet again, chat noir has gotten me out of art block, and become my default for when i don't know what character to draw,,,,, HE'S JUST STANDING THERE! BEING PRETTY!!! IDK MAN
i saw the movie
I think the development I’m happiest about in this ep is Luka actually using words to talk about his musical metaphors instead of just playing them. I usually just end up laughing at whatever comes out of his mouth cause he’s great at being accidentally funny; but this time he hit the nail right on the head!
Adrien and Marinette both being “melodies” that are suppressed in opposite ways (one being silenced by something/someone and the other being drowned out by too much noise) is the type of parallel goodness I watch this show for
miraculous ladybug is a hotbed of whiplash between extremely hard-hitting show-don't-tell writing and expositing-the-point-directly-into-the-camera writing. like the show is constructed so the basic plot can be understood by 6 year olds but then you'll randomly have a scene during a timeskip that shows adrien's room in a depression-induced mess after he quits modelling and it will never be addressed as such but it will neatly convey the disruption to his mental state that a lack of routine causes him. and u just have to deal with both of those things side by side constantly😭
been drawin with the good ol acrylic markers a lot lately but ive been too lazy to finish anything so heres a marinette ft an errant drop from my popsicle
The finale is nothing compared to chat blanc and the episode hasn’t even come out 😭
There are so many little details even in the ad that revealed so much, it’s so hard to process and put all the pieces together.
