me age 12: this pokemon is named Petri, named after petrichor, the name for the scent of rain. a close second was Nimbus, named after nimbostratus clouds in which rain forms. i was very tempted to go with Proteus, a greek shapeshifter who ruled the sea, but i realized that would be more fitting for a pokemon with a stronger attack stat. i researched these names endlessly and they took 2 hours to come up with.

Zeus Cabin from Percy Jackson and the Olympians in The Sim 4

I'm used to making lots mostly for myself, but seeing the lack of PJO content available, I felt obliged to share one of my creations.

Based off text descriptions from the books and images from the graphic novels, I aimed to be as accurate as possible to the source material (this means Cabin One is mostly empty inside, except for Zeus' statue, the bird sculptures, and Thalia's stuff that she left behind at the end of the saga)

"Zeus's Cabin is described as looking like a white marble box, with heavy, white columns in the front. This cabin is the biggest and bulkiest of all the cabins. It has polished bronze doors that shimmer like a hologram, and have lightning bolts streaked down them. The dome-shaped ceiling is decorated with moving mosaics of a cloudy sky and thunderbolts. It also thunders all the time. The cabin has no furniture inside at all, described as looking like a bank. It only has alcoves with golden eagle statues and one intimidating statue of Zeus in the middle."

My first design for my PJO AU where Luke isn’t the host of Kronos (among other things but it doesn’t really have a name yet.)

Unfortunately someone had to do it where is where I decided to start for my first oc. He doesn’t have a name quite yet but in this AU he’s the one who hosted Kronos and kicked off the Titan War.

He mostly shows up in flashbacks but he definitely plays a similar role to Luke and his actions definitely haunt the narrative.

Most of the quests from the OG books still happened including the Titan’s Curse so I had to give him his gray hair for holding up the sky.

I actually don’t have that many designs done but I’ll post them periodically (probably) as I draw more for this AU than write lol.

I have returned and I finally have a concrete story I want to use for my PJO AU

I’ve even made designs for the characters which I’ll probably drop whenever I drop the series. But I actually rlly like the plot and it’s a bit less complicated than my other things I have going on at the moment lol.

I don’t want to say much because they’ll have there own rant posts and what not but I think I’m cooking chat.

As for everything else? Uh well consider them on indefinite hiatus. I won’t delete them but the series will be marked as done on ao3.

Spider-Man AU

I've posted all the chapters for act 1 because I wanted to get them out instead of sitting on them. They might be kinda shitty but they're done. Start with chapter 2

I’ve been watching Arcane and I have a few more episodes left and tell me why all of a sudden I’m starting to write a fantasy esk AU help.

Anyways, the Spiderman AU is going to get a new chapter soon. I just have to get the energy to get on my computer to post it.

Unfortunately none of the AUs I write will be short because I don’t think I have that capability within me to do that so.. yeah.

Look forward to that maybe? But just keep in mind my next posts on ao3 will most definitely be straight Spider-Man AU chapters.

The first chapter of my Spiderman au has FINALLY dropped lol.

P.S. If you look in the tags, you may see some original characters. My Spider-Man au MIGHT be my Roman Empire rn. I’ve been writing it for like three days and I’m at 10K just finished the first arc (out of idk???)

And like everyones lives are so unnecessarily tragic lmao. The first arc focuses on Percy, but this second arc still focuses on Percy, but also slowly incorporates other characters too so I think I’ll have fun writing that, especially as Percy leans more into Spider-Man and basically stops trying to have a life as Percy. Essentially I can’t wait to focus on the side cast.

Eventually posting to Ao3, just have to add more to the first arc (eventually)

So I’m currently writing the first (1-3?? Idk how I’m gonna divide it up yet of my Spider-Man AU and I think things r going great, but I start realizing that I don’t think there’s enough build up to these events (and I’m starting to realize that maybe I can’t write romance as good as i thought). And it’s crazy cuz I’m currently 7K words in. And like obviously I’m gonna go to the endpoint before I go back and add some stuff in there but it’s very strange considering I’ve never had this problem before. So the first 1-3 chapters is probably gonna turn into 4-6 lol.

As much as realistically don’t see Percy doing drugs or drinking, it will be unfortunately something I’m probably going to incorporate into my fics because the idea and angst of it is too hard to resist.

I’d say it starts when finally his brain starts to process his trauma, and I mean like all of it. It doesn’t start on purpose, maybe he stumbles across it on accident. But then he gets his first few tastes and there’s no turning back.

Naturally he’d hate it, he’d hate his reliance on alcohol and drugs (I dont see Percy ever drinking Beer because of Gabe, when he drinks, he drinks to forget.) and he’d probably start isolating himself and ignoring people simply because he’s scared. He doesn’t know what type of drunk he is and he doesn’t want to find out.

Eventually it sort of spirals from a way of coping to a form of self harm in a way. Because his body forces himself to remember regardless.

And eventually he’d get sober, he’d never touch alcohol again. Because at the end of the day, Percy is supposed to be the one who breaks the cycle. I personally HC Percy as a very intense stress smoker (cigarettes) so I don’t think that habit would go away.

But just the idea of it really gets me lol and I’m surprised I don’t see more of it (probably because this type of thing is typically given to Jason Grace)

The fact that every morning after a hangover he may look in the mirror and see Gabe staring back.

Maybe he’d start smoking the same brand of cigs that Gabe did.

Maybe someone tried to help him and he just got really aggressive and angry.

Plus people who are abused as a child are more likely to engage in alcohol and drugs.

Also let’s not even get started into canon Percy, with not only the drinking but the drug side? Taking drugs in order to get some sort of high because his body craves an adrenaline rush and sparring with campers and killing monsters isn’t enough anymore. Hes become so addicted to the rush of adrenaline he can’t live without it? Idk man.

Anyway I guess that’s sort of an explanation? Or something as to why Percy will commonly be doing things like that and why it may seem so ooc and why I say “fuck it” and do it anyways.

Of course I have other characters who have bad coping mechanisms that may or may not be in most of my stuff. Like Annabeth who I’m sort of giving compulsive helping and Jason with his hero complex lol.

Uh so I made or may not have started another AU. It’s not gonna be a multi chapter as of rn it’s just one big one shot but ngl I’m lowkey invested in it. But yeah that’s the next thing I’ll be posting on my ao3 account.

Trying to like, not make Percy Jackson in my Robin!Percy AU like Jason Todd but I can’t help it lmao, Jason’s my favorite.

Because at some point, Percy is probably not going to be Robin anymore, not out of his own will but being Robin, specifically under Batman really grounds him and without Batman and no one constantly berating him for beating up criminals too hard, he’d probably kill someone.

And I feel like post Robin, he wouldn’t have some vengeful, sort of noble reason to drift to the dark side, but he needs someone, something to put his anger towards, and Bruce and Gotham is sort of the perfect place because a lot of people there are kinda like, shit.

Yeah Percy in this AU he’s definitely more like canonical Percy Jackson inside, but he just has too much rage and anger for people to see that unless they dig deep (ie. Basically the outcasts aka his teenage superhero group.)

So i think it’s interesting that most of the time, we’ll just be seeing the mask Percy puts up for himself because he doesn’t like most of the batfam. He likes Jason and begrudgingly like Dick but he doesn’t talk to them, not really (except probably Jason) and ofc he likes Alfred, everyone likes Alfred. But he doesn’t like Bruce or anyone else for that matter and it’s really going to show (hopefully).

Honestly, Percy doesn’t need Robin, he needs therapy. Honestly he’s doomed for therapy in all three AUs I’m writing (the superhero/demigod au, the Robin AU, and the mortal AU)

The adults of New Rome are so lucky that Rick didn’t write Percy, Reyna, and Jason in Heroes of Olympus with the same care and effort he previously put into his PJO characterizations, because otherwise the combination of Reyna Avila-My-childhood-got-ruined-because-of-the-effects-war -PTSD-can-have-on-a-person- Ramirez-Arellano, Jason-I-have-been-part-of-the-military-since-my-early-childhood-Grace and Percy-pay-your-child-support- Jackson, would have immediately caused a revolution and shamed every grown ass adult, who hides behind a child army to death.

Thinking about my Robin AU, the origins of Percy, etc.

I wanted to play around with Percy being an experiment of some of the dark multiverse Batman variants because like, why not yk? I wanna do something different for once. And so I'm thinking maybe he was experimented on. At first he was a normal kid, but after losing his mom the dark knights found him and Barbatos decided Percy would be perfect, being as he was so very similar to Bruce. Percy had everything a kid could want, despite not being rich, despite his shitty step-dad. But he made one kid mistake and now his mom was gone and he was stuck living to his step dad. Until the Dark Knights found him and took him in under the guise of helping him, but they experimented on him instead and turned him into a weapon (Damian vibes, ikr?)

And so he's found, saved from whatever hellhole he was in, and naturally he has no idea how to act. So he studies Bruce Wayne, looks him up, and everything is sort of ranging from fake smiles to crazy ass "drunk" shit.

So naturally, Percy follows that example and after a few years, which is when the story takes place he's become a bit of a party animal and nobody can really stop him. And the only time he isn't taking like that is when he's Robin, which Bruce sort of did as a way to ground him.

Now whenever people think of the "angry" robin, that's basically what Percy is. He's sort of bitter, and has been for a while so he uses Robin as an outlet. That's not saying he isn't nice or kind, he is. Just generally to other members of the Bat fam like Jason or Dick, someone who can sort of understand.

Anyways, Percy is very emotionally driven.

I've been thinking about other characters and I think I want Grover to be his speedster. Grover would be the new speedster chosen by the speed force after the retirement of Barry Allen (I dont read alot of flash comics so apologize if i get some stuff wrong with these super heroes). Grover would be one of the people Percy is actual open with and they're essentially best friends. Percy is there for Grover when he has trouble being a hero (as Grover would be the least experienced) while Grover is there for Percy when he's essentially drinking and partying himself to death and helping him get back on his feet.

Next up we have our Kryptonian, who is apart of a lineage who left Krypton thousands of years prior to the explosion. Their family has been living at the same planet for a while now, but he's bored. He wants to go out and explore what other planets space has to offer and ends up on Earth. Now, I actually have zero idea what character I want to make this because I wanted to make Thalia, Jason, and Reyna amazonians, which Jason being similar to Diana's brother (of the same name funny enough). He wouldn't be fully Kryptonian and would have some distant blood of other alien species from prior to them settling on whatever planet, but no crazy powers besides typical Kryptonian powers for now. So uh comment any ideas you have.

Now the next member is a Martian which would be Frank. I feel like Frank fits this role perfectly ngl. A Frank who's finally completed his training and joins Percy's hero team to prove himself.

Either Thalia or Reyna as the Amazonian, but probably Reyna. I don't know much about the wonder woman comics sadly so I'll have to come up with a backstory later.

Connor Stoll, seeking to break free from the Arrow Family, specificially his older brother, Travis and finding himself, leading him to joining this young superhero team.

And finally Annabeth Chase, who is more of an honorary member rather than anything. I think I want Annabeth to be possibly Batgirl?? I haven't though it out. Maybe she's a legit child of Bruce and was Robin prior to Percy and after the role of Robin became vacant but got seriously injured which led to Bruce essentially firing her.

Annabeth eventually becomes a vigilante in her own right regardless, even despite Bruce trying to keep her away from that life and steps up when Robin vanishes.

Anyways I was thinking about names bcuz there's no way I'm using Teen Titans. Maybe Outcasts (Or is it too similar to the Outlaws??)

I feel like I'm gonna have ALOT of fun with this and I think I'm gonna start writing it rn. Luckily for me I don't have to put alot of elaborate plot into this because its legit comics, but I do want to have some plot in here.

As a result of my latest dc obsession I’m gonna be writing a Robin!Percy AU and nobody’s gonna stop me (that’s it, that’s the post)

Planing for my characters in my AU to spend a considerable amount of time in Greece which means I’m going to have to spend a considerable amount of time researching Greece, which I don’t have a problem with.

But something I also want to explore is Greek families, dynasties, just stuff like that. I also think it would be interesting to explore heroes or lack there of in Greece. How demigods are basically normal people and aren’t trying to be put on a leash. Idk I’m really excited to write it when I finish everything else.

Do you guys want a mortal AU? Because I’m realizing that my main AU is probably going to have a rather long break because I need to finish outlining the next arcs and I feel like a mortal AU would be nice in the meantime so if u guys are interested in it as a side project just so I can keep writing that would be nice (I’m probably going to write it anyways but yk)

Part 4 of my AU is out now

so fast I know lol, I was on a role yesterday and today

Currently writing Percy and Jason's only scene pre-HoO part (which is coming real soon, maybe one or two parts until it kicks off)

And I'm not the best at first scenes but I think I did pretty well. I decided I mainly wanted Jason to be a hand to hand fighter, mainly like a MMA fighter. He's like a wrestler, boxer, and possibly a whole lot of other fighting styles mixed into one. Like he's decent with a sword or spear and whatnot, but hand to hand is where he really excels.

Meanwhile, Percy isn't all that great with hand to hand. Like he can throw some punches but his hand to hand combat experience are street fights, Percy fights dirty, especially if he has to fight without his sword. But Percy's most skilled with the sword.

And I can't wait to write how this'll effect their different encounters with different enemies in HoO in my AU.

Working on Percy’s suit. I don’t think I’ll be making a suit for pre HoO Percy just because he’s only gonna be using it for like two parts.

I wanted to incorporate celestial bronze and almost incorporated Greco-Armor too but I decided against it, atleast for Percy’s design.

He does have a celestial bronze sort of shoulder set though.

I dunno I’m really excited to write the HoO section (drawing the costumes is gonna be my least favorite part) because I do want to draw some art for this series one day.

Idk I’m just so excited to write Percy, Annabeth, and Jason’s perspective during the HoO mainly TLO-MOA, especially because a lot of the plot is going to be different, SoN and HoH are the only two plots that are going to be relatively the same.

Can’t wait to share this with you guys.

3rd Part of my AU is up now

Next time its probably gonna be actual demigod related stuff.

Thinking about Sally and Percy in my AU (spoiler alert for something I haven’t written yet, but it has to do with Sally and I may or may not have mentioned this on a post prior to this)

Because subconsciously or not Percy sort of equates Sally as a God, because Sally was a source of hope throughout all the suffering he went through as a child.

And then stuff hits the fan and she just, dies. She’s gone. The Minotaur ran his claws through her and he never saw her again and his salvation is gone.

And from there, things don’t really get better for him, because after the incident tm with Jason, he doesn’t feel like he belongs. (Plus all the gang related activities he’s apart of inbetween pre CJ and right before CHB)

And then he goes to CHB and things are going decently, then his first quest he gets two people killed. But he stays, because he has friends, he has people to find, and eventually he finds friends worth staying for and his life is getting better then BoTL and Titan War happen and he basically loses everyone, all of his friends (and self sabotages and self isolates from anyone who could help him) and then gets hooked on drugs because now it’s back to the real world for him, he has to go to school because it’s the last, plus it’s CHB. He has to get a job because how else is he going to live somewhere with lights and a place to sleep? He joins the shittiest team at CHB because he has to constantly keep his body in shape somehow (he’s too paranoid not too).

And eventually (kinda a spoiler alert but i desperately wanted to yap about this) after all that, plus everything post kidnapping, she’s alive? That Hades was just holding her for all those years, that she’s been trapped? That she wasn’t really dead? That the Gods were so cruel to him they kept his mother away from him when he was at his lowest because saving the world was not enough for them?

And so she’s back, but neither of them really know how to act. Percy desperately craves those warm arms to protect him, but he doesn’t know how to be protected without trying to claw on the cage that’s trying to protect him (he can’t tell if someone’s trying to protect him or trying to trap him anymore).

Sally is just as awkward, she’s missed so much of his life, her little boy has grown weary and tired and this entire time she couldn’t help him.

Sally being hesitant to give him love, not because she doesn’t love him but because it isn’t as easy as it was when he was younger, she doesn’t know him anymore. Doesn’t know if he still eats blue food, or likes her hugs.

Percy desperately wanting love but being too afraid to ask for it, too hesitant to receive it, to even ask.

Sally trying to be a parent but due to circumstances out of her control, she’s years too late to do anything.

And maybe one day they get into an argument. Sally trying to be a parent and Percy picking a fight with her, nearly yelling at her before just, breaking down. He tells her how hard it was without her, how desperately he wanted her.

So they start from there, atleast once a week Percy tells him something from his life, no matter how big or how small and they learn each other. They are both tired and weary, but not too tired nor too weary to love each other.

I swear the amount of AU I want to write will never stop atp.

At some point I want to write a sports centric PJO au or something.

Idk but I like the idea of like hockey player Percy or like Basketball player Percy. It probably wouldn’t be one of those aus where every mentioned character is playing hockey but characters that feel appropriate probably idk.

Just an idea I wanna put in the vault cuz even though I have Percy playing football in my weird superhero demigod AU sports won’t be the main focus of it, it probably more a of a thing that’ll be mentioned a few times just because of the fact that the high school slice of life stuff is not gonna last long at all lol.

At first I wasn't going to involve any Mycenaean or Minoan related things in my kinda sorta superhero demigod au but I'm actually reconsidering.

I'm currently writing this scene were Percy ends up going on a mission but he sort of loses his shit after injecting something and I think I want the trigger to be because he has such origins.

So I started doing a little research and found out that there was (supposedly? idk how true it is) was a Minoan god known as Potidas who was essentially ruled over everything and like natural things, so he ruled over the earth, the sky, storms, etc.

And so I also found out that Poseidon (atleast maybe his name?) actually came from this god.

And of course you may or may not know about Mycenaean Poseidon who was a chthonic deity.

So I plan on having Percy be of such descent probably.

But I don't want to do this with just Percy. I want to do this with other demigods too, especially ones like Zeus who was associated with a Minoan God known as Velchanos and was associated with like vegetation but I don't know if I should do this with preexisting characters or make some new ones up to do it.

So I decided im just gonna, make a poll lol and the first one is gonna be for Zeus's kids. Jason isn't going to be on this list because he's Jupiter's kid and I want to have the distinction in this be pretty clear.

Getting into the marvel a lot recently and tempted to write a marvel sort of role swap if that makes sense?

Like basically replacing the marvel characters with Percy Jackson characters I guess.

The storyline would prob be a mix of Mcu and Comics and the storylines would be changed a bit to more fit some of the canon pjo stuff but yeah.

I can only think of a few ideas at the moment, but I definitely want Percy to be Ironman. Some people may argue with me tbh and idc lol. I don’t know why I can see it, maybe it’s because of this fic I read by unsureavenger, but I can’t unsee. I mean they both were abused by an alcoholic and have frighteningly low self esteem (atleast Tony does in the movies) and I would probably change his backstory a bit but I can see Percy as Tony Stark (maybe the mcu just altered my brain and Percy has to be the mc in everything I write. Probably.)

I do want to include Luke, but I always try to include Luke in not only Annabeth’s story, but Percy’s too because they’re so important to both of their stories.

I’m trying to think of a way where Luke ends up as Percy’s mentor, and I actually think I can use a concept from the Ironman animated show and a character known as Genie Khan to do this although it wouldn’t take place in the main fic.

I think I could make Annabeth maybe Black Widow (or Captain America?? I dunno. Maybe even the wasp)

Ideas would be well appreciated. This wouldn’t be a main fic of course because I’m still working on my main kinda sorta demigod super hero AU but it would be a side thing of sorts I guess.

Percy and Jason’s relationship in my unnamed AU is so interesting to me as I’m writing it. Because they’ve met, there’s no Greco-Roman divide, atleast not to where they don’t know each other. Because keep in mind, before Percy was a Greek, he was a Roman.

Percy and Jason met at CJ and Jason did something so bad that hurt him and his chances of having a family at New Rome, because sort of flipping Percy with canon Annabeth here a bit but Percy just wants to be loved, to know that he’s not a mistake and his entire theme is centered around themes like family and loneliness. Every single person he’s met and touched and becomes friends with ends up ruined, destroyed, gone.

So eventually Percy goes to CHB and he doesn’t end up gaining a lot of friends, he has Bianca (who dies) and Nico (who in his mind for the longest time he “ruined”). Eventually he’s friends with people like Beckendorf, Silena, Michael Yew but by the end of the Second Titan War, they’re all dead. And Percy? He doesn’t know how to cope, not with this so the friends he does have, he pushes them away and digs a hole so deep he can’t dig himself out of, not alone atleast.

Then he meets Annabeth, he gains friends, then boom, he disappears.

Then he shows back up and sees Annabeth working with Jason. He thinks his family has been stolen from him again, which is the real motivation for the Red Hood esc arc he’ll be having. But he can’t exactly hunt him down because they found out there’s a greater prophecy at large and is stuck with Jason.

Jason on the other hand didn’t really mean to ruin Percy’s life. He was simply acting how he was taught to, groomed to. He gained respect and even when he faltered on the ideas of Rome after meeting and forming an alliance with the Greek, he had friends beside him, people who supported him as he begins to bring a new age to CJ. So most of Jason’s conflict isn’t actually related to him, but the impact of his actions as he’s changed and changing, the two most affected being Percy and Octavian. His arc is about being leader, what it takes. He also essentially learns the lessons that Percy learned in PJO, about how it’s okay to not always be a hero and learning to step back and dealing with his hero complex (which ends up reflecting in eariler situations, his need to be a “hero” to CJ and his mind framing the villain as Percy at the time) and overcoming it.

Percy on the other hand has most of his conflicts relating to him and his internal conflict. His fatal flaw and how it affects the people around him, and him being forced to step up and him unable to escape it. Compared to last time where Percy was always stepping up, having to handle everything himself because he’s the “hero” Percy is more willing to let everyone sort of do their own thing even if it’s detrimental to the mission at hand without even realizing it (Percy really really doesn’t want to be on this quest in this verse lol) but Percy being forced to be the hero this time, forced to face his fears.

Idk this is all kinda rough rn but Jason having a family, having everything Percy wants but everything is threatening to fall apart as he has to learn to be a leader but only a leader but a hero in his own right, even if it means stepping back and not letting his flaw getting the best of him (his hero complex).

And Percy not having family, trying to rebuild as he takes the lessons he’s learned to heart, he doesn’t have to be the hero here so why try to be? (There’s a reason there’s seven people on this quest after all right?) So he takes the support role, which eventually allows his fatal flaw to get the best of him. He has to learn the difference of when to step back and when to lead instead of heavily doing one or the other. He takes the prophecy into his own hands because this is his time to step up, this is his fate. Percy becomes not only a hero, but a leader.

Idk if this makes any sense and I’m still writing it, as well as how Percy’s backstory would affect his character but I’m trying to keep some of the characterizations I really liked such as Percy and Annabeth’s relatively the same. If i do another one of these i do want to talk about Annabeth’s character and motivations next (another one im working on lol)
