Disco Elysium’s “lungs are for love” really stuck with me. As a singer I’m aware of my lungs all the time, and now they are a subconscious way we can take in the world. They expand, and fill with the particles of whatever city we inhabit. Everyone’s lungs and their insides look a little different. Harry and Kim’s could be stunted due to their smoking, I think this could be connected to their stunted capacity for love, and how painful it is for the both of them to not only love themselves and other people, but the world around them. Lungs fill up and breath love into ourselves and the world around us. If you are a smoker and had polio, could you not take in enough love?

I think that the water bugs that have been to space for scientific research and the ones that are in the local creek enveloped in nature long for each other. to catch a glimpse into how the other one lives. A tardigrade that wiggles past a kid’s knee submerged in dirty lake water wonders what more is out there. A tardigrade released into the unrelenting universe by astronauts longs for back home. Microscopic love, the smallest in the world.

Someone on twt said that snakes kill butterflies…omg…if Damon were to kill Kai do you think it would be convoluted and impersonal based on a strong belief, or would it be direct, confrontational, and gruesome…I can’t stop thinking abut that possibility because would there even be room for regret? The heartbreaking vulnerability? Like Kai is such an easy target…especially for someone like Daimon…who will not let go of his convictions…snakes don’t give up on their meals without a fight.
