super late but here’s a very specific ship dynamic i’ve been obssessed with recently

In French, we don’t say “ninety nine”, we say “quatre vingt dix neuf” which roughly translates to “I’ve never heard of a functional numeric system before” and I think that’s beautiful

i be like “writing isn’t my passion” but then proceed to spend every waking hour and even the occasional dream thinking abt a new plot or concept, read essays and the journals of popular authors, literally consume any written material available to me, once stayed up until 2 am three nights in a row to work on a draft that has never seen the light of day, and spend nearly every second of my free time plotting, planning, or writing fics & then tell everyone it’s just a hobby to me

take a moment to check your posture and get a drink of water. look up from your phone or computer screen and just take in your surroundings. 

this is a reminder to check yourself, how you are feeling right now, and do what you can to help yourself.
