most of my drawings and photography, it comes from places, people, sometimes weather also. I'm just looking for "contradiction" between real and surreal, fiction and nonfiction, nature and artificial.

Studio "journal to fantasy", 2007-2008
"Journal to fantasy" is all of my concepts, perspectives, also center of my works to express anything. I have had basement studio for painting and some artworks for a while. At that time, the town was planned to be a redeveloped area so the building which has my studio have to be torn down immediately. Because, as time passes, it issued a demolition order forcefully to people of the town. So I was not able to use the basement any longer. That was some photos I left.
A few years ago, I took some pictures in my neighborhood. As usual, I liked shooting exteriors and interiors of houses. At the top of hill, there's some houses that is likely stands for luxurious property in 1970-80's cultural circumstances in Korea. I was so happy about finding out some spots in my town and also inspired by elaborated decorations of the house.

Gurye, Korea with adding some lines and shapes.
Gurye is a very small countryside town in Korea. I didn't have cameras so I snapped some photos with disposable camera. Actually, I like the very particular quality of disposable cameras' photos so now and then I use that to shoot. In this photo, that's a kind of marks to block the street for not passing cars I think. and I thought it was so cute that cheapy furnitures was going well with the background which has stores' signboard.
"How come?"
that's my daily perspectives of the art works. I've learned that every forms, features and shapes have to be proved with specific reasons since I studied in school and also outside of the school as I see current affairs in society. The Reason makes me seeing them clearer and sophisticated.
