Waking up in a dimly lit room, you rolled over in bed, reaching out to find the other side of the bed cold and still not slept in. Propping yourself up on your elbows you pushed your hair back behind your ears with a heavy sigh.

Slipping out from under the covers, you pulled on one your boyfriend’s white button ups that was tossed over his desk chair. You slid your black boy shorts up your legs, shivering a little at the cold. Quickly buttoning up the shirt and rolling the sleeves up, you crept out of the apartment door and followed the stairs down into Shin’s bike shop. A quick glance up at the clock told you it was well after midnight and you sighed.

Leaning against the door jamb that lead to the Bay Area where shin worked on the bikes, you studied him as he sat on a box, hunched over, the tense set of his shoulders letting you know that something was on his mind. His hair was sticking out in different directions as if he’s been running his hands through his hair over and over again. You walk in after watching him for a few minutes. Hopping up one of the work tables, you clear your throat to announce your presence. Shin jumps a little bit turns towards you with a soft smile on his face.

“Shit babe you scared me.”

“I’m sorry. What are you doing down here this late?”

He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly before sighing and stepping in between your thighs. “I just.”

You narrow your eyes at him. “Don’t lie to me either.” You took your lower lip inbetween your teeth as you laid your hands on his chest. “You're overworking yourself... Please take a break."

He grabs your thighs, his hands up them as he leans over you. “I’m worried. I um. I worry sometimes that I’m not enough. I’m a small time bike shop owner. What if I’m never gonna make enough money to support us? What if I fuck all of this up by not being enough for you.”

The seriousness in your tone made him pause and finally nod his consent.

Shin threw his head back and laughed. “You’re in for it now.” He leaned down and hoisted you over his shoulder laughing as your fist pounded on his back. “You’re right I’ve been working too much. Help me unwind babe.” He delivered a sharp slap to your ass before darting up the stairs, both of you giggling the whole way back to the bedroom.
