I don't hate the Neo Egoist League arc, it's had its moments, but this tiny little flashback moment was my favorite, and it's a shame that it's really just harkening back on when Blue Lock was a little more exciting and these four wonderful characters were all on the same team.
Like aw. Look. It's the core members of Team Z back in the day. Plus the immediate callback, of Bachira throwing a ball at Isagi's face.
It's also really cute how Isagi is irritated and about to throw the ball back at Bachira's face, until he says I wanted to hang out with Isagi, and then he's like "Me? š³" and stops.
Also cute that Bachira wanted to see Kunigami! He played a match with him, was happy he was back, and wanted to talk to him. So he went to go visit him and hang out with his best friend.
Which is just. So good. Look at Bachira, wanting to play with his friends.
Also:
This shit is also a good call back, to literally the first chapter, when Bachira leapt on his back. Except this time he was able to land.
(sighing)
And then of course, my bachisagi scraps. Of course Bachira wants to team up with Isagi, and Kunigiri are on the other side, even though Kunigami is pretending he's straight.
But at least he begrudgingly practices with them, showing that something of the old Kunigami is still there.
Made me more emotional than anything else in this arc, really.
I miss when these yahoos were playing together and doing their best to coordinate instead of stealing goals from each other.
I know the story had to evolve past this, but. I don't know. The current arc doesn't really have high stakes, and there's just so many characters to not care about...
But alas.
worth it for this little moment.
bring them together more and I'll tolerate arc fatigue.

Imagine Nagi comes home to Ba-ya waiting by the door to give Choki back -bc she follows bltv- and Choki has a small bump on one of its bulbs. When Nagi asks about it Ba-ya informs him that some time after they left Choki sprouted a flower bud but it hadn't bloomed. Nagi doesn't say anything and just takes his pet back.
Months later, Nagi has moved on to another team and is actively chasing his own goals, regularly checking on Reo through bltv to see how he's doing. Despite not wanting to play with Reo anymore, he's still invested on his ex-partner's dream. That's why it hurts to see how emotionally vulnerable he left him and how, despite the time that has past, Reo's smiles are rare and usually fake. (He's been around both the fake ones and the sincere one long enough to know) Yet, he's very proud of Reo for challenging the world on his own, he just wished he was brave enough to actually tell him.
Choki's flower bud had grown a bit bigger and started opening. That made Nagi very happy, to see Choki change and grow with him, despite being just a plant.
Finally, the day his team is facing blue lock in the tournament comes and the thought of seeing them all again excites him the same amount as it scares him. One specific face haunts him the most. He decided to focus on the chance of fighting Isagi again and not on what would he do once he saw Reo. And he was so busy with this that he forgot his morning routine of pricking his finger.
He remembered once he was at the door and decided to go back to his room to say goodbye and ask Choki to wish him luck (although he knew the cactus wouldn't answer him, he'snot crazy) What he hadn't known was that, under the pale moonlight, Choki had blossomed a deep purple flower, sitting atop one of it's bunny ears.
Nagi stood frozen by his bedroom door. Then, he took a deep breath and, as he released it, felt a weight being lifted from his shoulders. "Right. Thanks Choki. I'm going now."

I am a firm believer that Pluto committed suicide.
ā ļø obvious warning about talks of suicide (specifically hanging)
So, we all know that Pluto manifested right after he said he was relieved. And people manifest their spectres by reliving the emotions they felt moments before their deaths. Obviously this isnāt the only sign, but a decent one.
His life wasnāt the best either from what we know. He was constantly having to worry about his father getting drunk and being extremely unpredictable, along with him wanting to escape Blackpool. A lot of his time likely went to helping his father out and trying to provide for the both of them.
Now, talking about the scene right before his spectre was revealed. The collar/belt was wrapped tight around his neck. The way it was shaped can loosely resemble a noose as well. The āSNAPā sound effect could be something as simple as the snap of a belt hitting against itself, or it could be more. It could be the sound of a neck snapping after a successful hanging.
Or I could just be grabbing at straws for angst..
