While I typically detest doing calls to action, I kind of have a reason to do so: I got into a wreck that I'm genuinely surprised I fared out better than I probably should have (thanks Mom, thanks airbags and seat belts.) I'm still doing a-okay, aside from being a little shaken up, but a few things:

+ I need a car to drive and have promptly totaled mine. I still owe my loan. + I need a way to feed my animals, along with paying bills (providing I can still work at my current job, but I commute so that may be pretty unlikely, given it's rural.)

So this link up here is my store! I have prints and originals for sale. But if there's not something that tickles your fancy, I'm also open for commissions, both writing and art!

I'm currently in the process of reaching out to organizations and charities to see what I can work with, given my circumstances, but if you could reblog or anything of the sort, that'd be sweet.

As a content creator

I will no longer be using tumblr to write and post my content. Why?

Because I sometimes write adult content. Not only sexual content, but violence and other adult themes. Why do I write such things?

Because I have written them for years. Because, as a writer, life is not all rainbows and butterflies. I write books and stories about humans. There is sex, but also themes of death, violence and sadness. This is part of human nature.

Tumblr’s full-ban on adult content is one of the most ridiculous things that I have ever seen. This is their way of trying to clean up their self-created mess that will drive away large portions of their base, because “adult content” is more than just the annoying porn-bots.

Adult content, as we have seen, has hit things such as “Chronic pain” blogs but also blogs that are LGBT+ friendly. I’m queer and I have a chronic illness.

While my run on tumblr has been long, I am willing to move on from it. I lived through Strikethrough on LJ. I will survive this.

My friends, my fellow content creators, my readers, and anyone else who sees this— don’t delete your tumblrs. Leave them as skeletons. Allow tumblr to cannibalize itself and only leave the bones behind.

This really is Strikethrough 2.0.

Stay calm, and begin to back up everything.
