it does not yet have a timeline or reasoning or something, however I mostly think of it being like Elder Faerie is alive and well enough and Beasts are still mentally unhealthy but they kinda try to be better (kinda post-basically any plot that would unfold with Beasts) and they're under EF's unofficial custody

also it is not set in stone yet, however it is possible he was already appointed by Witches to being their dad before they got their "oof lmao"s, but I'm still thinking about it
