So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

I was at a Halloween party a friend was hosting the other week, and he was baking some truly excellent dishes. He pulled something out of the oven and said (something to the effect of) "Do NOT touch this dish. It just came out of the oven and will burn you into next Sunday."

Other friend responded something like, "Oh cool, a dish that causes time-travel," and I responded, "Well yeah. You hold on to the super hot dish and it makes you travel forward through time at a rate of 1 second per second."

This. It turns out. Was a critical error on my part. Because another friend turned to me real wide-eyed and asked, "Was that a reference?" and I was like "What?" and he was like "Homestuck," and I was like "What?"

I think if JoJo dialogue even vaguely resembled the way real humans speak it would detract so much from the experience

a lot of hitchhiking horror stories have the creepy driver but i wish there were more creepy hitchhiker stories. like obviously there's ghost hitchhikers and such but i'm talking about just some guy you pick up who's so thoroughly weird and unsettling to be in a moving vehicle with.
