Bat appreciation post, because I needed the draw the first guy’s dumb little smile and it went on from there.

The first two are little brown bats and the last one, I believe, is a baby hognosed bat.

This is actually a thought I've had a lot of times! (And a theme I explore quite a lot in my own writing 👀) It is so much more rewarding to make the characters work for that redemption, to make a good life worth earning!

Cannot STAND narratives which imply that if you've done bad things the only thing you can do to truly atone is sacrifice your life and die!!! What happened to dying is easy living is harder? What happened to forgiveness and redemption??? What happened to putting in the work to undo what has been done????? I'll kill someone.
