Reblogging this in order to gaslight myself because I know damn well I will burst into tears the second even someone I ruthlessly hate slightly raises their voice at me.
āSticks And Stones May Break My Bones But Words Will Never Hurt Meā
A lot of us have probably heard this proverb at some point in our lives. Most of us know this phrase to be mostly untrue. Keep this sigil to make the phrase true by lessening the effect of other peopleās words on you.
Wishing stones are very similar to hag stones in term of propreties, but are very different. They are normal stones (usually gray) with one or more lighter lines on it that are sometimes white. Like this:
They are very lucky and finding one might mean that something positive is coming your way! They are sedimentary rocks, so they can be found pretty much everywhere in the canadian shield or in mountains. They are called wishing stones because according to old native american traditions, holding one in both hands while thinking really hard of your wish, than burying it into the earth would make your wish come true! The best aprt of it is that you can reuse it. When your wish has come true, you can take it out of the earth, cleanse it and make another wish.
Using wish stones in your craft
Use wishing stones in any ritual relating with luck and prosperity! Bath rituals, spells, anything! You can put a small stone into a little bag with some cinnamon and rosemary, and there you have a luck pouch that you can bring with you everywhere you go! Sedimentary stones are all usually very protective, so you can place a wishing stone on your altar and won't have to make a protection chant. They can make your warding so much more effective and stronger! A wishing stone with more than one line can cleanse a smaller crystal if you place it near it for a few hours. They can contain alot of energy so it dosen't need as much cleansing as other crystals. The most effective way of cleansing these stones are burying them in the earth for a day, then washing of the dirt and soil.
Simple spell to make a wish come true
Material:
- Green or gold candle
- Wishing stone
- Anything else you would like to add (lucky herbs like cinnamon, rosemary, peppermint for exemple)
Light the candle and whisper to it your wish. Wave the wishing stone over the candle and whisper to it your wish again. Snuff out the candle because you don't want to blow away your intentions. Hold the stone in both of your hands and imagine your wish coming true. Put the stone away in an unbothered place until the wish has come true.
