So we’ve been watching this series called How We Won The War and they’re currently doing a section about female ATA pilots during WW2 and holy shit look how badass they are They were the first women allowed into, let alone fly, an RAF aircraft. Their male peers were of they opinion that they should “go back to the kitchen” so only let them fly shitty archaic planes with open cockpits that nearly caused them to freeze to death one winter. They tried to make them wear skirts and stockings during winter but they were like “haha no” and wore proper flight gear instead. They flew in terrible weather with poor visibility, no radio and no electronic navigational equipment. Though not permitted to fly into combat zones they were still frequently under fire. Over time their contribution to the air force was recognised and the ATA was the first government organisation to give equal pay for equal work regardless of gender.

Reminder that communications in all of Gaza have been cut off for the past three days. This means no one can make calls to check on family members within Gaza or to report and call for help/ambulances following Israeli airstrikes. As a result, many end up dying due to injuries or being trapped under the rubble with no possible way of notifying anyone. Of course this also goes hand in hand with Israel intensifying their bombardment of every part of Gaza after having isolated it from the world.

You can help by purchasing e-sims. I will share a long post with all the details and instructions shortly and you can also Venmo smaller amounts if you're unable to buy a whole bundle so that bigger plans can be bought for families.

January 6, the Twelfth Night, was once her festival day, later replaced by Epiphany in Christianity.

Liberals act like every critique of Harris (or anyone in their precious center-right party) is a sudden attack out of nowhere because they have nothing but rhetoric and vibes to defend their acceptance of fascism. They have to act like you're being weird and overly-critical because if they don't, the hundreds or thousands of critiques they've heard will come rushing down on top of them like an avalanche of truth. They're not arguing against you so much as they are trying to convince themselves.
