They settled with the CCHR in 2022 because, at the time, they were headquartered there, I believe, but that's no longer the case. Automattic Inc., and by extension, Tumblr, are headquartered now at 60 29th Street #343 San Francisco, CA 94110

So I believe we'd want to get in touch with the human rights commission in san fransisco instead. I don't know fuckall about this kind of legal thing though, so someone who either knows more or is better at research should figure out if it's worthwhile to bring this to the CCHR given that All This Shit is a pretty overt violation of the terms of their settlement with them, even if they are now headquartered elsewhere.

It was something unexpected to say at least, he knows that both he and him have different ideals on how the region will be ruled. The alchemist know this when he agreed to headed towards the warlock’s domain. The air is silents when he entrance the omnibus laid, the only source of lighting is through the opening of the broken windows of old castle. that once was inhabited by a royal family that seem to had kept the castle from decaying over the years, but now it sat in collecting dust and cobwebs that make the red wolf a bit uneasy. With the thoughts that there’s a possibly that there’s creatures within the castle’s walls make this place their home.

The cold stone floor and corridors guiding Gadget to reach his destination slowly and carefully avoiding any obstacles that were within his way that will cause any distribution to the invisible inhabitants. The deeper the alchemist walk within the castle the less light and windows seem to illuminate the area. The wolf was given clear instructions to find the warlock, pleased him to help him safe the innocents from his village from being attack by the tyrant king who lose his mind into madness from the power, wealth, and collection of magical artifacts in his collection. There was so much that the wolf can do to protective his village but fighting against the king’s advanced army isn’t one of them. There were rumors spreading that the warlock was once an ally to the king who betrayed him by stealing one of his price artifact. Letting greed clouded his mind costing him, his family and life, that the artifact he steal was either cruse or was posses by a demon that grant him magical abilities but at a price.

Some say that the artifact taken control of his body and mind becoming a puppet with no free will of it’s own, while other say it was a deal he made with a demon that made him lose everything he loved and cherished. Whatever the reason might be or that the rumors might be true the young alchemist had his quest that required to be fulfilled. He just hope that things are going to run smoothly when he come face to face with him in person.

The sound of the coven boiling is music to his ears and everything is going according to the warlock’s plan. He spent the entire of the day to hunt down items he needed for personal project that he been working on for months. Of course he had difficulties with the merchants to sell or trade the ingredients to him due to the rumors that keep floating around the region. It pay him no mind for whatever ridiculous lies the region inhabitants tend to believe in it doesn’t bother him one bit. Even now that they see him as a threat even fear him do to his powers and appearance, giving him his current reputation among the populate. And it couldn’t be help in anything form of verbal discussion to charge their minds otherwise and the jackal is fine by this outcome even tho he secretly wish to not terrific the children when he went into town.

The jackal warlock went back to his personal project and independent studies of witchcraft to help him prefect his own craft without anyway drawbacks. He already wasted time on letting his thoughts wonder without a care in the world almost forgetting about the coven. He went to his storage to grab the next ingredient on the list when he hear something or someone approaching towards his direction. Without hesitation the young warlock place the item down on one of his books and put on his helmet to hide his face and infidelity preparing himself to fight whoever or whatever decided to trespass in his home.

Gadget seem to be walking for ages given the amount of walking he have to do through the narrow passage that lead to an type of lab of some kind. The fire brighten the room with the coven still hot showing sign of usage and the owner is still nearby or in the room still. The young alchemist start to look around the the area cautionary avoiding touching anything of value. His leather belt holding his potions in place softly and quietly clack against each other and the surface of the something resealable as a table awhile the wolf search. The alchemist spotted wolf bane on top of an opened book of an spell of some type that peak his curiosity. Gadget was about to have an closer look at the contain when he feel something holding him back, preventing him from moving forward towards the area.

If you’re foolish enough to not heady my warning, I won’t hesitate to kill you at this very moment!” a hash angering voice spoke right behind him, causing the red wolf alchemist to flicks in flight and almost drop one of his exiles that he brewed this morning before leaving on his journey. The red wolf slowly rise his hands up in form of surrendering or shown he isn’t an threat to the voice owner. Slowly the young alchemist turn around be careful not make any any sudden body movements that might be seen as him reaching an weapon.

When the wolf finally turned around, he was face to face with the person he was assigned to offer for help to protective his town. The target of all these rumors that may or may not be true with the warlock’s origins. The jackal warlock staring at him intimidating wearing his omnibus black and purple entire with his metal helmet and hands glowing an fade magenta. The alchemist stare at the warlock’s chest, then at the his yellow eyes covered with an red protective firmament of his helmet. The silent between them was fill of tension that even an drop of an pin is unwise to act between the two candida. Time seen to either move back and forward and either of them say an word to each other, until the alchemist find hos courage to speak up.

“S-sorry to in turd on your domain Mr. Warlock, but I’m here by orders of my village’s elder to request your assailant to help us. And I believe it’s worthy your time to hear me out first before killing me on the time.” Gadget say hearing that his own voice is still shaky from the tension in the room and the possible danger he’s in with a skilled an experience sorcerer in his prescient.

The jackal stare at him for few more second then cancel his prepare enchantment with the magenta glow slowly faded out of sight then slowly relax his stance still keeping his demeanor and glare toward him.

“Alright little wolf state your business, and I’ll deiced whatever or not I’ll let you continue to lived a happy cozy life that doesn’t involve me in your silly mortal’s screw ups or whatever the children say these days, messes, fucked ups? It’s doesn’t matter to me otherwise, please enlighten with your owe sad tale and I’ll give you an final judgment.”

The jackal take a seat on a nearby boulder without taking his glare off him while the alchemist regain himself and take an seat on an old rusty pail that was once used to fetch water from an nearby well or lake. Gadget steady himself on the small object and begin telling the jackal his troubling tale about the mad king’s lost of reality and his corruption affected his army to the point they have to do his dirty work. Also with the injustice and destruction he leave behind in his wake by each villages, cities, and towns he come across in his path.

When the wolf his tale the jackal was deep in thoughts conflicting with himself to even help this young male soul to defended his home from his former boss. Yes, his former double-crossed snake of a ruler that hid his true intention from his dear royal innocents subjects. Of course his madness form and worsen from the after effects of the ruby’s power after prolong exposure and lack of care that fool never see it coming, and in the end he pay the prices but at the cost of innocents.

The warlock got up from his seat and silently went to prepare a few of his belongings that are esstanissle for this type of quest. And grab an empty old traveling bag and start packing the items in his bag. Then put everything in his lab to a stop, put out the fire, and cover the cauldron with an old table cloth, while the wolf watch in awe. The jackal have everything ready now and stare back at the young freckles face of his parnter who is awestuck.

“Alright, Alchemist, you have converse me to join forces with you, to stop the king from destorying your home. But I need something in exchange as an return for my services once this is all over. This is an fair and agreement for both parties involed. It could be anything that seem fits, for now let’s not worry about that, we have bigger protities to deal with.”

Gadget noded quickly in agreement already freedoming himself from his awestuck phase, he get up, dust himself off, and place the bucklet back to it rightful place. Then he look at the warlock without any fear displaying on his body.

“Alright we better hurry and get an move on then. Also, sir, I know tis is rude of me to not ask before but can I please know your name?”

The jackal looked a bit stunned by the wolf request and stare a him in confusation.

“My name? Whatever for lad?”

“You see sir, since we’ll be adverturing and working toghter for who knows how long, I think is best for us to call each other by a first name basics. since we can’t keep calling ourselves sir for the long run. Name’s Gadget by the way, an pleasure to make your appicences sir.” the wolf say smiling conflictly that his freckles seem to streches across his cheeks with his hands toward him to offer him a shake.

The warlock look at him for a moment and take the alchemist’s hand and shake it lightly with a soft grip to preventing his sharp claws from breaking the skin.

“Name’s Infinite, and it’s a pleasant to work and fight along side you young Alchemist Gadget. Now let’s solve our problemtic king’s problem shall we?”

It's early in the morning not even past seven o' clock. the morning chips of the birds fill the quite morning commute outside the open window of an dimmed lit room. slowly opening and rubbing the tiredness from your eyes. feeling your body protesting not wanting to leave the warm embrace of the bed keeping you warm during your 6 hour slumber. you slowly force yourself to sit up on the bedside for a bit to grain your surroundings. the alarm clock on the nightstand is the only thing that illuminate in the dark room.

The clock flashing the numbers 2:15am even tho it's your day off the night shift at your job at the local brewery. your body become custom with the 9 to 5 routine for two years now. and it's too late to change it ow especially on this day that you earn fairly by how hard you worked these past few weeks. with tiredness still linger in your eyes you started to get dressed, brush your teeth, and trying your best to make yourself presentable for public standards. after everyday was done you decided to work on some house chores that you were neglecting for awhile now.

It taken an while to get some of them done but you feel reviled to get them over and done with. and it's was now time to go grab some breakfast with at new anime pillow you brought from an anime convention with your friends few months back. the pillow was mostly use as a form of protection in a sense to avoid creepy conversations with people that make you uncomfortable, along with being an cosplay prop for friends for the next con. in all honestly the pillow get you an sense of comfort and some wreids looks are better then creepy conversation. you drive to the nearest IHOP location to be the first one to eat breakfast together and avoid the morning rush of the work day.

nothing is going to ruin your attempt to have one of the most comfortable and wholesome day off that you can give yourself and the pillow as you possible can

NINTENDO SWITCH PSA: the used switch game market is about to become VERY risky! if you buy used switch games, listen up!

starting around late february to early march 2024, buying a used switch game, even from a reliable game retailer, and then just playing it normally online, MIGHT get your nintendo switch permanently banned from online play! even if you try using a different nintendo account!

please read the rest of the post before commenting because this is COMPLICATED. this is a new situation and there is a lot of uncertainty. also watch the video at the bottom of this post ASAP if you can, because it has more information, will probably answer some other questions you may have, and it might get deleted soon. I started writing this post as soon as I finished watching the video because, fucking yikes this might get bad.

putting a cut here so I can add a note in the future if/when the extremely informative video below gets removed.

experts on this kind of stuff are concerned about it, so therefore I am concerned too.

are you familiar with flash carts? flash carts are cartridges that fit into the slots of game consoles that have micro SD card slots. game files get loaded to the micro SD card, which gets placed in the flash cart, which then can run the game as if you had the actual game cartridge in there.

those game files are then playable as usual on the original hardware. these were very common for the nintendo DS, but you can find them for gameboy, GBA, 3DS, and coming soon: the nintendo switch.

now, you might be thinking, what does this have to do with the used switch game market?

to get the game files to put onto the micro SD card, you do what is called a dump. you take the cartridge and 'dump' the files from the cartridge onto other storage. this can include a unique identification in the code of each nintendo switch game cartridge, which links it to a physical game cartridge, and allows it to be played on the switch.

and after those files have been dumped from the original cartridge, and make it onto the flash cart, the person with the flash cart is then free to sell the physical game cartridge, because the flash cart works the same as the game cartridge. whether that is online, at a flea market, returning it to the store, or wherever else used games are sold.

as is mentioned in the video below, a lot of people are looking forward to buying switch games, dumping the files, loading them onto a flash cart, and then either returning them or selling them to get their money back without disclosing that they already took the unique game ID. and basically get a ton of switch games for very cheap, if not free.

now. there creates a problem for people who want to buy used games.

say you buy a used cartridge, which has been used for this dumping process. you go online.

and that person with the flash cart with the files from the game you now have also goes online.

nintendo is then able to see that two consoles playing the same game with the same unique game ID are online at the same time, which is impossible without doing this dumping process. it would be VERY easy for nintendo to ban both switches or both nintendo accounts.

nintendo is known for banning people for using flash carts as well as modded hardware or modded games. nintendo has even taken legal action against people associated with modifying their hardware. so to say that this whole situation might result in bans is hardly a stretch of the imagination. and having two of the same ID online at the same time is a pretty fucking clear sign that something is up!

and once these dumped files get uploaded online, which some of them inevitably will, any used game cartridge could have its unique ID be in use from zero to thousands of people. and all it takes is two people online at the same time with the same game ID for nintendo to know something is up.

once this flash cart is on the market, there will be no way to know which used switch games have been dumped, duplicated, and are in use by someone else before you buy it, connect to the internet, and potentially get in trouble.

the tech used in this flash cart will also eventually make it very easy to make bootleg switch cartridges down the line which look and function identically to an original game cartridge. and say somewhere online sells a bunch of these bootleg cartridges, without disclosing that they are bootlegs, and they all have duplicate game IDs. and then more than one of these bootleg cartridges goes online with the same game ID. nintendo can see that.

these flash carts and bootlegs will work on ANY switch, modded or not. and if you might be thinking, “but wait! right now you need a modded switch to dump a switch game! surely that will make getting a used duplicated game less likely.” the flash cart company is also selling a system to dump these files without ever using a modded switch.

you can tell you have a flash cart by a visible micro SD card slot, but there might not be an easy way to tell a bootleg apart from a genuine copy with a legitimate unique ID.

whether you accidentally buy a legitimate cartridge that has already been dumped and is in use by a flash cart, or you accidentally buy an identical bootleg, or you go online with a flash cart with game files that might be in use by someone else, nintendo can see if duplicates of the same unique game ID are online. what happens next is up to nintendo. and again, nintendo has been known to freely ban anyone suspected of doing any form of hardware or software modification, including the type mentioned here.

so just going online with a used game purchased after late february MIGHT get the person playing it banned. it is unclear if just having your switch connected to the internet could get you in trouble, or if you need to play online with the game with a nintendo online subscription, or if one scenario will be more likely to result in a ban than the other. <- if anyone knows this and has a good source, let me know and I will add it here.

say a parent buys a nintendo switch and a bunch of cheap used games for their kid. that kid could then go online and get banned, by absolutely NO fault of their own. and then their parents might get REALLY mad thinking their kid did something awful online. damn even thinking about this sucks so hard. :( fuck

once a switch is banned at the console level, that console can never go online again. even with a different nintendo account. just like game cartridges have unique IDs, so do nintendo switches themselves.

and it is worth noting, since the nintendo switch launched, nintendo has been FAR more likely to ban nintendo switch consoles than nintendo accounts. if a nintendo account is banned, you can just make another account. but if the console is banned, you need another, non-banned nintendo switch to go online.

and since there may be an uptick of banned switches: people who get their switches banned, whether or not they ever realize why, may then try to sell or return their switch without disclosing that the console can no longer go online, use the eshop, or get updates. and some games require updates to run, even offline!

we have no idea what will happen, because this flash cartridge and associated hardware will be released to the public in late february to early march and is the first of its kind for the switch. maybe nothing will happen. maybe a ton of people will get banned just for accidentally buying a game used by someone else with a flash cart. maybe buying a used nintendo switch will become a huge gamble because banned switches will saturate the market. we have no idea yet.

taki udon has a very comprehensive video on this. right here. watch the video to learn more about what these products are and how to identify them. videos like these, on the subject of flash carts, often get taken down quickly by nintendo, and taki does a much better job at explaining this than me.

long story short, if you like the nintendo switch and buy used games or consoles: BE CAREFUL, and when march rolls around, PAY ATTENTION. we have no idea what will happen once this product and these practices become widespread. maybe there will be widespread bans. maybe nintendo will get this stuff taken off the market before there can be these kinds of accidental bans in any widespread way. we can only wait and see.

if you want to be the most cautious and proactive, consider buying used games sooner than later. if in the future you somehow suspect you bought a bootleg cartridge (hi from past rune!), do NOT play it online. and if you plan on using this flash cart without having the physical cartridge the files were dumped from on hand, DO NOT GO ONLINE WITH IT. you might fuck someone else over or get your own console banned.
