i do not care if bedroom fairy lights are forever perceived as a twee millennial thing i can never go back. any light that is not striving to approximate the soft glow of candlelight does not belong in my bedroom

In my mind, the beatles were all just lesbians. Looking at them and putting the title of "gay" on them doesn't feel right. "Queer" doesn't feel right either. They all just look like the group of lesbians that I saw sitting in a conversation couch smoking a hookah when I was walking down the streets in Copenhagen, so lesbian works.

I just had the funniest conversation with a seventyish-year-old cashier at Walmart.

First she noticed my Beatles hoodie. "The Beatles!" She exclaimed.

"I'm a huge fan," I replied. 

"Paul." She said. 

"Mmm-hmm. Paul's the best."

"Too bad they're all dead."

Me, "Oh no no! Paul and Ringo are still alive."

"They are? Really?"

I nodded.

She lowered her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, "I heard that Ringo is gay."

"Huh!," I said, surprised, "I heard the same about Paul and John, together."

She nodded and said, "They probably all were."
