In order to win a war, you need soldiers, and in order to get soldiers, you need to recruit people. The gang usually splits up into the normal groups: Xbalanque and Och-kan, the twins with Maghan, Uenuku and Hineila, which would leave Yupanqui with Lianca. Not that Yupanqui disliked Lianca, the opposite really, but this time he wanted to switch things up by requesting to switch with Xbalanque so he could go on this mission with the Half-man.

Was this his best decision...well, it's not his worst one.

I’m bored so my headcanons for some of the lords:

01 “Valiant One” : Really likes musics like classical or the music you would find in remuria

02 “Jade Maiden”: She hates apologizing with words so instead offers her Jade as a form of apology.

03 “Weaver of Secrets”: she would get ALL the gossip from her siblings, she knew everything about everyone but never uttered a word. Even kukulkan has come to her with things he wanted to get off his chest, she’s like a therapist in a way.

06 "He Who Shakes the Earth Like Thunder in His Wrath": LOVES making a entrance. Every time he would be the last one to attend and all of a sudden thunderstruck by AC/DC would start playing /hj

08 “Priestess of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers": Likes to groom the feathers and scales of her siblings, especially those who lack motivation to properly take care of themselves (cough cough 01 and 04). Best and quickest flyer among the thirteen lords.

09 “Chronicler of the End times” (My queen who I have way to long of a list for but I’ll just throw out one hc): Secretly loves reading books of fiction, often sneaking away to get her hands on stories written by dragons or even humans. (Kinda like Citlali with her light novels)

10 “Undying Wings of Lofty Isolation": He often did his own thing, preferring to be along then deal with the drama that the other lords dealt with. Lazy to the bone and attended meetings once every blue moon.

13 “Bone Breaker”: being the youngest meant he was constantly overshadowed by everyone thus resulting in him trying to prove himself as a leader. Very serious and often trying to mimic 01’s behaviors as he practically idolizes him.

Now that school is over, I’m posting a doodle dump from when I was bored out of my mind cause I finished the test early.

So I was reading Och-Kan’s notes on Ixlel again (no, I’m totally not starving for content…don’t look at me like that😞) and this part came up

Now we all know she told him information about the draconic civilization such as the goals that they achieve. We now know one of the things that the things that Och-Kan censored with “(…)” which is the research on phlogistoniztion of life. Why did he feel the need to redact the important things in his diary… I do not know (ok I know it was Hoyo trying to keep stuff hidden but just imagining him personally redacting info is just funny)

Anyway, going back to my main topic, Do yall think she showed him the end times? Like what else would he be so scared about.

“Ink he literally stated that the dragons might take back power cause they have all these super cool tools that, we the lore researchers, do not know.” Hush, that’s not what I’m taking about.

Yes those scared him but what caught my attention was in the second paragraph “The memories she possesses”. Och-kan be specific, you’re not giving us much to work with… sure he could be referring to her memories of the dragon era but what if it’s memories of the end. I don’t know about y’all but when I think of a fortune teller or someone who can see outcomes, I think about someone who sees EVERY outcome imaginable. What if one of those outcomes was where dragons do regain power… that is more likely to scare Och-Kan so bad into wanting to strip her of her authority as fast as possible.

She’s a chronicler of the end times with a “s” at the end meaning that there is more than one end. Also how far does it go, is it apocalyptic end times or like if I was to go up against her in uno and she would know the outcome before we even even played… shit now my brain is starting to hurt from what even “End times” defines.

So I thought, "Hmm, the other Dragonlords probably had this eldritch-ness going on. Even more so for their sire, Xiuhcoatl. Plus, there's already eldritch element in Natlan; that mf Gosoythoth that's inspired from Yog-Sothoth"

From there I was digging through the possible eldritch figure that could inspire Xiuhcoatl.

And well don't you look at that?

Yig, the Father of Serpents.

Disclaimer: I have yet to read H.P Lovecraft's works and I haven't dabble to much in eldritch fiction, so all my knowledge about this figure comes from the wikis. Also, for those who don't know, H.P Lovecraft was a massive racist-fuck, and it bleed to his works with many of the eldritch figures were seemingly inspired from indigenous deities/spirits. So tread his works with care.

Yig is a eldritch deity introduced in the book "The Curse of Yig" co-written by H.P Lovecraft and Zealia Bishop. He is "the snake-god of the central plains tribes," and "a shunned and feared object in central Oklahoma."

The story describes him as:

an odd, half-anthropomorphic devil of highly arbitrary and capricious nature. He was not wholly evil, and was usually quite well-disposed toward those who gave proper respect to him and his children, the serpents; but in the autumn he became abnormally ravenous, and had to be driven away by means of suitable rites.

The snake-god's chief quality was "a relentless devotion to his children," making it taboo to kill snakes. Those "who flouted him or wreaked harm upon his wriggling progeny" would suffer the "curse of Yig," in which the deity would "turn his victim, after suitable tortures, to a spotted snake."

In one of the expanded Cthulhu mythos (works that are written by people other than H.P Lovecraft), his mate is Coatlicue, which in the real-life mythology has many snake motives and is the mother of the sun god Huitzilopochtli, the moon goddess Coyolxauhqui, and the gods of the stars Centzon Huitznahua. And you know who's the creator of the in-game Huitzilopochtli right.

An in-story ethnologist stated that Yig is the dark prototype for the more benevolent Quetzalcoatl and Kukulkan (you see where I'm going.)

But this part is what I consider to be the most fascinating: Yig was also one of the two main gods (the other being Cthulhu) worshipped by the people of K'n-yan, a subterranean realm under a "sky" of glowing blue clouds similar to the Northern Lights, occupied by a hidden race of advanced prehistoric humanoids. They hailed from a planet much like Earth, the K'n-yanians were supposedly brought across space by Tulu, founding a vast and mighty civilisation. However, after the Mu continent sank, they sealed themselves away from the rest of the world. They blamed the "Space-devils" for the great sinking that "submerged the gods themselves, including great Tulu, who still lay prisoned and dreaming..." with the only human survivors being the space-devils' own agents.

K'n-Yan is the name of the author of "The Men of Lithin". And reading their history... doesn't they sound a bit similar to Khaenri'ah? Plus, this 'space-devils' is a bit similar to the Primordial One's coming. Defeating the original gods and then planted their own agents...

Huh, what if Nibelung is supposed to be Cthulhu? Being worshipped alongside Xiuhcoatl, and his murals showed up in Natlan. That also kinda explain why he looked similar to Xiuhcoatl in the murals?

Idk, I just want to share my discovery with you. In another note, kdnsjkskssnns "Father of Serpents" and fierce love for his children... my 'mama Xiuhcoatl' agenda isn't that far-fetched I guess!

Nothing groundbreaking or long-ass post this time. But I have an observation and a correction for myself. One of the ingredients of life isn't dragon flesh, but dragon blood.

Remembering this, I instantly remembered someone else. Someone who made humans with drawing his own blood. Someone who is a serpent, or could we say, dragon-like?

Quetzalcoatl. The Plumed Serpent. God of life, light, and wisdom. Also the god of the wind through his aspect as Ehecatl.

In the legend of the cycle of the five suns, different gods ruled the world as the sun with its version of humanity, but their rules were destroyed for various reasons alongside their version of humanity. In the last cycle, the fifth sun, also the cycle we currently live in, Quetzalcoatl went to Mictlan, the underworld, to recover the bones of humanity and ressurect/create them. He used his own blood, from a wound he inflicted on his earlobes, calves, tongue, and penis, to imbue the bones with new life.

And if you guys follow me for a long time... you guys know who are the mfs who are inspired from Quetzalcoatl...
