Millipede under UV light. Many species of arthropods fluoresce, or glow, under ultraviolet light due to due to fluorescent compounds in their exoskeletons. At least one millipede genus, motyxia, is actually bioluminescent, meaning it can produce light on its own.

I just wanna yap about these guys I really love them.
The kori bustard (Ardeotis kori), is the heaviest flying bird, with adult males weighing anywhere between 25-42 lbs. However, they tend to spend most of their lives on land.
While emitting a deep booming call, males will puff up their neck plums and tail feathers for a mating display.
They are native to grasslands, savannas, and wooded areas throughout southern Africa.
These beasts are omnivorous, with diets made up of insects, reptiles, small mammals, small birds, and plant matter such as seeds and berries.

Malagasy Giant Jumping Rat (Hypogeomys antimena)
Conservation Status- Critically Endangered
Habitat- Central-western Madagascar
Size (Weight/Length)- 1 kg; 30 cm; 25 cm tail
Diet- Fruits; Seeds; Bark
Cool Facts- The malagasy giant jumping rat might be the most rabbit-looking rodent. Despite their relatively small size, these rats can leap 90 centimeters directly into the air to avoid predators. Spending their days inside burrows, their homes are large complexes with many different entrances to allow for quick escapes. Malagasy giant jumping rats are not monogamous but pairs will stick together to raise their offspring after the breeding season. Sadly, due to habitat destruction and large populations of feral cats, these rats are confined to only 200 square kilometers of protected forest. Multiple off site captive breeding programs in zoos and sanctuaries hope to preserve this absolutely adorable rat.
Rating- 13/10 (Hippity hoppity, get off my property.)

My newest photography obsession is getting photos of Tofu grooming! I don't know why but these sorts of photos are so neat to me - I love seeing her caught mid-motion, grooming itself is always so fast so its neat to break down the routine they go through each time. Anyways I'm still working on getting clear shots of each grooming motion, but I'm quite happy how these ones came out as well!
