annoying when people act like women playing into misogyny to make a profit is something to celebrate and like not just incredibly bleak and demeaning. she's not tricking incels or draining their pockets, you're just falling for an illusion that the power is flipped as if the men who asked for this behavior in the first place aren't still in control. the fact that so many men like when women do their makeup to look like cartoon porn, put on little anime girl voices, make hentai faces, and act like babies doesn't make the women who degrade themselves and act like children for their pleasure badass. it seems like people think it being a transaction makes this a powerful thing for the woman and not like just even more misogynistic and disturbing

I sometimes feel betrayed, concerned, in disbelief, and even disgusted with women's willful participation in patriarchy, but I am working on that. A day will come when I no longer care about any of it. From that moment on, it won't even register to me anymore. I will have accepted I was never truly owed sisterhood, nor is there a point in building it when you realise that the majority of women are deviants themselves, trapped in heated heterosexual foreplay.

Sisterhood comes across as a euphemism for labour from childfree women who are either in homosexual relationships or are celibate while the majority of women offer nothing to help those women's broken backs. They're more likely to drop a drawer of knives on their backs, really. It's not something I want to be a part of. Even among women, sisterhood is to sacrifice yourself for women who cater to males or have failed catering to males but learned nothing from it.

One day when I happen to see their struggle amongst themselves in endless cycles of empty words, cute slogans, and briefly trending hashtags while they continue loving men, regardless of how many times they prove unsalvageable, I'll not feel emotional about it at all anymore. And I will be a happier woman for it.

Really fucked with me learning that when Michel Foucault first arrived at UC Berkeley his friends tried to warn him not to participate in the local gay bathhouse scene due to the risk of AIDS, but that he did it anyway because he thought that AIDS was just a social construct. And when he inevitably got infected with AIDS as a result of unprotected sex he refused treatment insisting it was a pulmonary infection, and he didn't get diagnosed until his symptoms were so bad that he was forcibly hospitalised.

"AIDS is just a social construct" sounds like the sort of thing you would make up as a parody of the sort of stupid shit a post-modernist would believe. But the most famous post-modernist in history believed it, and ended up dying as a result of that belief. And given how respected he was, other men probably also died as a result of believing what he was saying. I get that they didn't know as much about AIDS in 1983 as we do today, but it been around for a few years already, so one of the supposedly smartest men on the planet should have had enough evidence to be able to overturn the hypothesis that viruses are just social constructs.

Fascism thrives on ignorance and anti-intellectualism. Here are some ways you can combat it:

There is an ongoing literacy crisis. Teach kids how to read phonetically (other methods produce poor literacy) and introduce them to fun books, both fiction and educational non-fiction.

Teach kids about critical thinking and the scientific method.

You can also introduce kids to edutainment like Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, The Magic Schoolbus, Bill Nye The Science Guy, Beakman's World, etc.

Help kids develop media literacy skills by asking them literary analysis questions about the media they engage with. Even very young children can begin learning literary analysis if the questions are phrased in words they can understand.

Learn and help other people learn information literacy, ie, how to locate and evaluate information.

Learn the red flags of pseudoscience, and educate other people about them.

Educate people and share media on real science and real history, because fascist narratives are full of pseudoscience and pseudohistory. (Miniminuteman, Gutsick Gibbon and Bart D. Ehrman's YouTube channel are great, by the way!)

Make learning a joyful experience, and show people the beauty and wonder of what's real. Being a discouraging killjoy will spoil your efforts.

I've noticed my life improved significantly when I started keeping male-centered womens at arms length. For one, I don't want to be around men and they ALWAYS bring their man into everything. I had to cut a women off after she did the whole, 'I hate when someone brings their stupid boyfriend along to girls nights🙄' then brought her stupid boyfriend along because obviously she didn't mean HER man. Not to mention a lot of male-centered women are downright dangerous to be around. They will put you in the vicinity of predators and abusers, they will always side with a man, and they will direct their own hatred towards any women around them. They are the type of women that want feminists to exist so they can benefit from the work of other women, and always rely on a women when something goes wrong, but still laugh with their man about how the hairy, man-hating feminists are just mad because they can't get a man. I support organisations that help women, but I do not help individual women that are male-centered. They want endless support and sympathy from the same women they mock and help put in harms way. Not for me thanks.

That's the way to go girl. We need to protect ourselves from men but also dangerous women.
