If you have ever had to write a resume for work or for an application, then you know the hardest part is figuring out what type of words to use that sound professional and and intelligent.
Example: If an application asks you if you have any relevant experience for a job at a day care center and you have experience, like you have babysat children. You would look at the words in the columns to see what words you should use that will help your resume stand out. You might put down “Have supervised and attended to children on a regular basis.”
I hope this is helpful to you.

(In the sense of “I mean like” “You know like”)
We have THREE main ways of saying “like” in sentences, cause we thought “lol why only have one?” They’re used generally orally by an individual, LIKE A LOT (and sometimes written when texting friends)
You will be granted access of me and my best friend’s conversation screenshots in order for you to see them used.
This one is used the most, including me to the despair of my parents lol.
Translation: “like sometimes he’s talking and at some point there was something that triggered him” “like fuck I’m looking at this rock it’s crazy”
A kind of “like” used when you want to present a state in which you were in.
Translation: “It’s so funny that you thought about what you wrote like oh yeah I wasn’t clear let me phrase it better”
It’s used in the sense of “I’m like” and “I was like”
Translation: “Yeah I was like calm down”
Your chocolate brown hair that always seems to be flattened in a baseball cap, and when you take it off there it is the side part that I make fun of all the time.
Not in a I hate you way, but in a way that makes you adorable. Is it weird noticing these things about you? But I notice all types of things like this with others all the time.
The boy that rides the bus at 7:10am with me and his black Bose headphones or the girl who I briefly passed by for a few seconds and her scent of coconut perfume. I remember it all. So it isn’t new to me, but what it is, is scary. Because I care about what you think of me in return so much.
I am certain you know I exist, a familiar face, maybe not my name, which is fair because I do the same. Rather I want to get to know you, yes you are handsome, you’re just my type and yes I’ve imagined scenarios, but what I want to happen the most is to be friends. I’ve never believed in love— no scratch that, I do believe in love, but I don’t believe in it for myself.
I am young, I have been reckless and I most certainly have failed relationship after relationship.
That’s why, I don’t care about getting hurt, but I care about being so perfectly happy when it isn’t true.
I dream of a perfect man, a perfect love not in the definition of perfect itself, but rather the perfect in how he’ll buy me my favorite pants and flowers, open the door for me, stand on the outside by the street, hold hands as much as possible, lean down to hear me and whisper the most outlandish words into my ears at an inappropriate time.
Cook with me, dance the night away, always have open arms, listen to my rants and have the ops, let me cling to him physically and help me bench press and give me kisses as rewards.
That’s the perfect thing that I want, for him to be attractive to me, tall, funny, have a beautiful smile, in essence to sweep me off my feet. I want to believe you are this man, but maybe you are, just not mine. I guess I have to be fine with that, and if I never become your friend at least, I guess I really don’t believe in love.
Maybe one day I’ll be confident enough in myself to not care what the outcome is. I know life is short, I tell myself that all of the time; I hear it and I see it.

studying for the lsat (for free)
i know lsat prep courses are so expensive and i cannot pay for that so i thought i’d share what i’ve been doing
insight lsat on youtube has a playlist with a free prep course, in which they go over each section of the lsat/each type of question you’ll encounter. it’s very helpful and i recommend pausing the video and trying to answer yourself whenever the instructor recommends it!
after going through question types, he provides a list of “homework questions” — the questions add up to essentially being 2 full sections from a few different practice tests, so at the moment i’m doing the questions one recommended practice test at a time (making it 2 full sections each time i practice)
i compile answers to these practice questions in a google doc, where i correct myself and make notes on what went wrong, as well as label what types of questions i missed so i can see any patterns
i use a notion spreadsheet to track how much time per day i study, as well as scores and/or percent accuracy for my actual practice (when doing the homework questions/2 sections instead of a full test, i calculate accuracy since i do not have an actual score)
after working through the lsat insight course and doing all recommended practice, my next step will be to do full timed sections (when i do homework practice it is untimed)
then, i will take a full timed test, so that i have a new diagnostic score and i can plan out the next phase of studying. i will once again track what types of questions i’m missing so i can implement more targeted practice.
more notes:
- i get my practice tests of pdf coffee
- i check answers using manhattan prep (it’s a forum so explanations are detailed and written by real people)
i hope this was at all helpful, and if anyone has any questions or recommendations let me know! :)
