Save Wildlife: Stop Using Rodenticides! Rodenticides (rat poisons) are pesticides, and they’re a big problem for wildlife like me (a bald eagle) and me! (owl & fox). Rodenticides are everywhere, even when we don’t notice them! They’re outside most commercial buildings... and abundant in wildlife. One study found them in 80 percent of Bald Eagles in the US. I don't like those odds. Here's the problem: Rodenticides spread through the food chain, harming and killing wildlife. And they don’t get rid of or stop rodent infestations! Here's what to do: Stop using rodenticides. Remove improperly stored food and waste. Block any rodents from entering buildings: Seal cracks, put screens on windows, etc. Other options to try: non-toxic deterrents like essential oils. Catch & release live traps. An indoor cat. If you must, other lethal methods besides poison. Advocate for government policies that phase out rodenticides. British Columbia and California have already limited their use! Thank you!

All about rodenticides! Bird Friendly London (www.birdfriendlylondon.ca) hired me to make this comic with a grant from Nature Canada. Rodenticides are harming my local raptors so it's an issue that's close to my heart.
