If you remember this pile of sketches from a couple weeks ago, I done colored them!  The idea here was something along the lines of; Widow and Maximilien are on a mission, maybe in a benefit of some sort, and dancing with Max (possibly to a specific song) reminds Widow of her late husband. Hopefully you’ll enjoy!

Geekedfest highlights day 2

• for cara, blizzcon was an overwhelming experience as it showed how much overwatch blew up popularity wise

• for chloé, this convention was a beautiful experience because she finally got to meet lots of really passionate fans whose lives have been changed by the game & seeing the happiness it can bring makes her happy

• they never ever get tired of saying the voice lines. cara: “i dont walk around my kitchen sounding like tracer all the time…well not always” • they really enjoy learning more about the lore and enjoyed the uprising event as it gave more information about their characters backgrounds

• i asked about where they would like to see their characters going in the future: cara said she’d like to see more about tracer’s backstory and her time during overwatch. chloé was asked about whether she’d like widow to turn nice again & she said she wanted widow to stay evil as she really enjoys playing such a fantastic villain

• asked about what similarities they hold to their characters: chloé feels as if she has the same focused attitude as widow & enjoys taking immense pleasure in things, also joked about being bossy and how she could order a military group LOL. cara said she likes tracer’s tendency to be bubbly and upbeat and positive about things

• also asked “describe your character and each other’s character in 3 words” cara about tracer: bubbly, sparky (‘I’m aware those two words mean the same thing but she is very much both of them’) and i can’t remember the third I think it was focused or determined or smth!

chloé about widowmaker: cold blooded, deadly(I think?) and again I can’t remember the third I’m sorry lmao. then chloé about tracer (from widows POV): high pitched, annoying & jiggly (Cara and Chloe laugh a lot here) Cara on Widowmaker: big bad and mean hahaha

• chloé wants to see widowmaker fall in love maybe, with an enemy. then a boy said “well, Tracers her enemy” and they were both like “omg true. maybe that’s the answer then” and then Cara was like “ah, but tracer is taken.”

• words of advice from both of them: Be yourself unapologetically, stay true to yourself, don’t worry what people think of you, and do things that scare you despite the fear. (chloé; not like, falling-off-stage kind of fear though. cara: no, don’t fall of the stage! chloé: what do you think will happen if I do? cara: get hurt!)

• Cara did a small demo of winstons dance emote lol she’s so cute I love her

• Her favourite dance emote is Winstons & Chloé’s favourite is Sombra’s

• When asked “who would you want to play your character in a live action version” Chloe misheard as “who would you want to play” and screamed WONDER WOMAN Lmao

• then she realised the actual question and said angelina jolie because she thinks she looks too different to play widow

• cara “I want to play tracer and if anyone else gets cast as her I will find them and…” theobold.

• Cara would like to play female iron man because “iron man is… (chloé: manly?) of course he’s manly chloé, he’s a man.” And they both laughed

• Both said their favourite characters besides themselves are each other (Cara was like “wiiiiiidowmaker/wiiiiiiinson” and called Winston her big monkey buddy or something LOL

• when asked whether they think widowmaker and tracer knew each other before widow got brainwashed they liked the idea a lot. then they were like “ok we want a new short film where that question is answered” amen

• “why isn’t terry crews doomfist?” both of them “because someone else is doomfist” get rekd boi

• “cara, what was your reaction to doomfist ripping off tracer’s chronal accelerator” “what the ****!”

• “who would win between Widow and Tracer?” Chloé: WIDOWMAKER OF COURSE Cara: TRACER, OBVIOUSLY Chloé: well in the alive short, tracer gets thrown off a building so… Cara: Widowmaker may have won the battle but she hasn’t won the war.

memorable things from geekedfest

• cara was happy to know i bought the game after tracer was announced as a lesbian 

• in the vip meeting in the morning, there was a really lovely girl who was emotional and very nervous, and talked to cara about how inspirational tracer’s sexuality has been and how strongly it’s affected her and cara seemed really touched, and spoke to her very personally and kindly and made sure she was okay a lot 

• cara thinks the representation in overwatch is one of the best aspects of the game, and is very happy there are characters that everyone can seem to relate to 

• cara loves emily and thinks they just met by both being in london (and says its not up to her who decides this stuff but is really happy emily exists)

• chloe agrees, and says she adores the community a lot because of how positive and active we are (<3!!)

• if they had to make a new skin for their character, chloé wants an invisible widowmaker skin & cara wants tracer to be a cosplayer and too dress up as batman or something 

• chloé has tried to ask people what to do to get involved in how to start playing overwatch because she wants to play her own character, but apparently people have told her she’s going to die LMAO

• cara tried playing tracer at blizzcon in 2016 and was bad apparently 

‘i kept going in there, dying, going back in there, dying…’ and then she used the mic to say some tracer lines into the team chat and some dude replied with ‘ooooh fuck’ ahahahah 

• on what they think of each other’s characters 

cara: ‘i think she’s mighty fine.’

chloé: ‘tracer doesn’t need all of this *makes sensual french noises widow makes in game* to be a badass. (…) i like tracer a lot’ then they smiled at eachother which was cute af

• in regards to widowtracer ship, cara loves it and chloé does too. they said something along the lines of ‘if that’s what people want to ship, then go for it! we have no problem, we think it’s awesome’ which was cool. supergirl is shook. 

• if they were to choose their own team comp, chloé and cara both agreed on wanting each other in their teams (<3) along with mercy and lucio, then reinhardt for a tank. 

THEN, cara was like ‘we’re missing one’ and some guy shouted ‘HANZO’ and everyone in the crowd was like WTF NOOOO and they all laughed.

then cara said ‘oh that’s a joke isn’t it?? being a HANZO MAIN! you’re a hanzo main!’ dfkjsdfhkdjsf and then they decided the last teammate was to be hanzo because ‘there’s always got to have a hanzo’. 

• both thought the alive short was cool as fuck, cara felt like she was in a pixar movie 

• someone asked ‘if you were to be an overwatch character, what would your abilities be?’ and they both agreed on

- siamese twins, one british and one french, with a cowboy hat and hacking skills (i might have forgotten something else sorry ladz)

• they both like the character design for mercy and sombra 

• they did each other’s voice lines (’cheers love! / ‘one shot, one kill’) and they actually did really good with it LMAO

• caras favourite skins are the summer games one with the british flag & the ultraviolet one / chloé’s is the traditional widowmaker one because ‘it makes sense, because she’s purple. or blue….there’s still a debate about that’

• i told cara about hearing her ‘ha, wanker!’ line in game with the ultraviolet skin and she was amused to know it made the cut. she said that she’d told the VA people that ‘um…you know it’s a swear in english right?’ and did it anyway. she also said she recorded a ‘you tosser!’ voice line which she said to look out for! 

• crazyhead fans - no news on season 2 yet. :) also she said she was amused upon reading the script knowing she was gonna have to pee on people. ‘i thought ‘yep. this is different.’’ LOL. 

• they both love the fact the VAs hang out in america and wish europle/uk held more cons so they could hang out with each other more.

• both said they were very grateful to have overwatch in their lives and that the biggest impact it’s had on them is the community’s reaction

• ‘i will take selfies for food’ cara to me after i gave her an overwatch cupcake. then chloé was like ‘yup. selfie’

• argued with me about whether i was ginger or not DSFhdsfjkhsd (apparently im not)

• they are both sweethearts and really must be protected and loved at all costs. they were so happy to be there and so inclusive and enthusiastic about the lore and the characters as well as getting to know the fans. they were both really down to earth and kind :)

Glimpse the Unthinkable

After the Slipstream’s teleportation matrix malfunctioned, the fighter jet vanished along with its test pilot, Lena Oxton - call sign: Tracer.

During her disappearance, Tracer was stuck traveling through various world lines: one where she didn’t join Overwatch, one where she didn’t enlist in the RAF, and even one world line where she lead a completely peaceful and quiet life away from all of the fighting.

But the world line that left a deep scar in her mind was one that would forever haunt her - Tracer saw herself working alongside Talon. And in this world line, Talon’s Tracer was one of the most ruthless and highly-skilled assassins. She had killed a number of members from Overwatch, and had managed to assassinate some of their top agents. Visions of loved ones of those she killed were etched in her mind. It was more than she could bear.

When Overwatch finally managed to recover Tracer, she decided to keep her visions to herself and vowed to never fall from the hero’s path in order to prevent the unthinkable from happening.
