Okay so

I keep seeing everyone talking about how kick-butt Lapis was in the latest episode, and while I DEFINITELY agree, let’s not ignore some of the other chararacters-

First of all, there’s Garnet

Despite clearly being affected/weakened by Blue Diamond’s power, she still was able to hold her ground and fight back

And before you mention Lapis and Connie, they weren’t affected, the power had no hold on them, Garnet WAS, and yet here she is, still going strong and not letting it knock her down

Not to mention, she was also able to stay fused, while Alexandrite-

As you can clearly see, wasnt

Furthermore, she did all of this after her wedding was ruined?? You go girl!

Then there’s Pearl, whose whole strategy for thousands of years was “do it for her” and just recently “do it for him”

She’s always fought for someone else, never herself. She never thought herself was a worthy enough reason to be fighting for, so she devoted herself to others instead, that is until this episode, where she proudly exclaims “I DO IT FOR ME!” Like alright Pearl!

Then there’s Connie, who, despite being a mere human, saw that her friends were all in trouble and was totally ready to take down Blue Diamond ON HER OWN

And let’s not forget this was the lonely, shy girl we met back in season one!

It’s amazing seeing how far she’s come since then :)

And finally, as comical as this scene was, let’s all take a moment to look back and remember how freaked out and terrified Peridot was when she first called Yellow Diamond a clod

She was so scared she’d come for her and shatter her on the spot

But now, here she is, running up to Yellow Diamond, IN PERSON, once again calling her a clod to her face

Like, that takes some guts

Bottom line is, I think these guys deserve some acknowledgment as well

Last Tribe A Day run cycle was today so I decided to combine them all to show the differences!

[ID: Seven sketchy animated run cycles, all of the original dragon tribes from Wings of Fire. They alternate sides as they go down, starting with the top one on the left and the second on the right, and so on. The background is a blank white. Each dragon has shaded limbs to help see the differences while in movement. The right wing is the darkest shade, followed by the left wing (closest to the screen), the the right legs are the lightest shaded. Descriptions are in order from top to bottom:

Mudwing: Drawn in a dark red. The thickest dragon by far, opening is mouth in a smile as its front legs hit the ground. Its large wings have four toes as if they were a third set of talons, which is used as another set of legs while running. The wings lift off after the back legs. The entire body bobs with its weight while it runs, lunging with its back legs. One of its back legs disappears while it runs (oopsies) and its large tail flicks with the run.

Skywing: Drawn in a darker red. Much skinnier dragon with longer limbs and larger wings. Its large wings remain slight open above its border, slightly bobbing as it moves. The body itself doesn’t move up and down, instead just twisting with movement of its limbs. Its tail is a little stiff, again just moving up and down. As it runs, one foot touches and leaves the ground at a time.

Icewing: Drawn in a dark blue. Its body and shape is ridgid, its head swooping up and down like it lunges with every time its front talons land. Again, its wings are used as a third pair of legs, however they are mostly used after the other limbs are mid-air. Its talons are visibly sharper, as well as its wings. Sharp spines on the back of its neck and end of its tail are visible as well, which bobs with the movement.

Seawing: Drawn in a dark blue. A thicker, long dragon with short but thick limbs and webbed frills along its spine and sternum. It’s thick tail continues the up and down curve it’s body makes with every move, flicking the end of the frills as it does. Its wings are semi open above its body, bobbing with the running movement and tilting up and down as its spine curves.

Sandwing: Drawn in a warm brown. Long limbs but thicker than skywing. All four feet lift of the air when they’re closest during the run, each foot hitting the ground one at a time. It’s barbed scorpion-like tail bobs up and down at the end. Its wings are folded and stuff near its shoulders, tilted diagonally. A solid frill lines its spine, biggest at the back of its neck and above the back legs.

Nightwing: Drawn in a dark purple grey, and by far the stiffest run cycle. Thick body with short but thinner legs than mudwings or seawings. Spikes line the spine all along its body, longest at the back of the neck and back of the body. Its wings are held stiffly and slightly folded over its body. Other than the legs and tail, most of the nightwing barely moves as it runs, and its legs hit the ground in pairs, front legs then back legs. They don’t even cross between each other at the closest part in the run. Its mouth opens and closes as it runs, not in any particular expression, I was just bored.

Rainwing: Drawn in a muted dark green. By far the bounciest run. It has a thin body and a head I accidentally drew a little big. It’s three-toed wings are used as a third pair of legs, used most right before it’s front legs hit the ground. Its front legs hit the ground at different time, however the back legs hit and leave together. Its tail is by far the longest, curled at the end and slightly unraveling as it flicks up and down. Beneath the curved horns is a frill with two connections that slight opens and closes with the movement. It’s grin also opens and closes with the movement.

Voltron actor AU where everything’s the same but Voltron is a live-action TV show and the paladins are actors:

Their names are the same in real life. They go by different names in the show. 

Keith and Lance still have a “rivalry.” Red and Blue didn’t originally have it, but when the cast first met and the directors saw how Keith and Lance interacted, they wanted to write it in. 

Shiro’s arm is still a prosthetic, although the scar is fake.

sometimes the makeup crew forgets the scar. literally no one notices until it’s the end of filming

“Shiro…” “Huh?” “…they forgot the sca–” “are yOU FUC–”

 Shiro, Keith, Lance, Hunk, and Allura all do their own stunts. 

Pidge is only 17 and their mom won’t sign the waiver for them to do their own stunts. 

No one really knows how their little production company was able to afford hiring Allura, who’s a big time actress and super talented.

they eventually find out that she’s a giant mecha/space nerd and came to /them/ asking for a role and willing to do it for free

No one really knows if Coran has a script or if he was told to just say whatever

Lance calls Keith “Red” so often that Keith thinks Lance has forgotten his name

he hasn’t.

The paladins, Allura, Coran, and basically all the actors boycott after season 2, demanding retribution for the way they wrote Hunk and Lance’s characters. 

Hunk has an engineering degree in real life.  

Matt isn’t Pidge’s real life brother, but when they first meet it goes something like: “baby sister!” “big brother!” and they end up inseparable.

Pidge’s mother is known for calling Pidge at work just to talk to her son, Matt 

Hunk and Shay’s on-screen chemistry was actually a real thing. Shay was cast at the same time that she was working in the costume/design department, so they’d known each other since the show started. 

they’re dating now

Every time Lance’s character hits on Allura’s on-screen Lance spends five minutes defending Blue’s character after filming 

“he just craves attention, okay? he just wants love!! he’s smart and beautiful and wants to belonG”

despite this, Lance is basically his character minus that shoddy writing in season 2

Keith and Lance have their own shipping fanbase. It starts out with just their characters, but then Some Mysterious Person starts taking candids between sets and posting them online and klance is born

it’s Pidge. Pidge runs five fan accounts. 

the pictures are super incriminating, but no one shows them to Lance or Keith

there’s a betting pool on when they’ll get together

Keith gets super into his roles and ends up genuinely upset after filming the scenes where the princess reacts badly to Red being part Galra. 

Allura gives him a 15 minute hug after

Bonding Moment Discourse is actually a thing. There was a prop malfunction on set while they were filming and the directors told them to stay put, so Lance ended up being Cradled for a solid half hour.

later, they find out that they could’ve moved and just chilled for that time, instead of actually holding each other.

“I get it Keith, I get it. You just wanted to hold me. Who doesn’t amiright??”   

“Never met a villain that they like” my ass.

The only time the boys even consider not fusing w/ each other anymore is when Turquoise beats their high scores on EVERYTHING, and they can’t even stop him. XD
