A god saving the one others have forsaken is my favorite trope
when a ship involves one character being so utterly devoted to the other that its borderline religious????? when the devoted character is written to be seen as a sinner, or damned, or a non believer??? and the other character an angel or god-like???? i simply eat that shit UP how can you not??
i keep thinking about jason todd turning to catholicism as a way to help people in a universe where he didn't meet bruce, and how crazy it is that bruce thinks jason would inevitably end up a criminal without him
maybe bruce is trying to convince himself that jason needed him and that all the pain he had to endure while being robin was worth it somehow, to keep his conscience clean
Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any worse
John is a traumatized bastard man but we just keep torturing him anyway

Do something
Jason: *drinks one cup of coffee*
Bruce: Jay no that’s unhealthy 🥺
thinking about this again

[A slow patrol. The Batkids have taken to chatting on the comms.]
Steph: ‘They’ll never find the body’ is a boring threat. ‘They’ll never stop finding the body’, now that’s interesting.
Jason, already imagining a set of coordinated duffle bags with labels for different anatomical sections: They’ll be left a piece of you every day for at least three months.
Damian: And you’ll be alive for at least two of them.
Bruce: Stop -
