Getting Comfortable in the State of Preparation
Why Shifters Often Get Stuck Here
Have you ever caught yourself spending hours making scripts, mood boards, and playlists for your Desired Reality (DR) but rarely (or never) actually attempting to shift? You’re not alone—this is super common in the shifting community or so I noticed after one of my posts. Many shifters fall into a pattern of preparation, where the process of getting ready feels more comfortable than the act of shifting itself.
1. Preparation Feels Safe
Making scripts and mood boards gives you a sense of control and progress. It’s exciting and comforting because it connects you to your DR without the frustration or fear of a failed attempt.
2. Perfectionism
Feeling like you need the perfect script, playlist, or method before you shift. This turns into an endless cycle of preparation because you never feel “ready enough.”
3. Dopamine Rush
Planning triggers a dopamine release—the thrill of imagining your DR can be addictive! It gives you a taste of your DR without actually shifting, so it’s easy to keep doing it.
4. Community Validation
Sharing your playlists, scripts, or mood boards in the shifting community can feel nice. It’s a way to bond with others, but it can also make the focus shift (pun intended!) from actual shifting to just the idea of shifting.
5. Procrastination as a Defense Mechanics
Procrastination is often rooted in fear. For some shifters, it’s easier to stay in the “preparation” phase.
6. Overwhelm
With so much information out there about shifting methods and scripting, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Instead of figuring out where to start, many shifters default to preparing because it feels more manageable.
If you find yourself stuck in this cycle, here are some tips that may help you refocus on actual shifting:
1. Shift the Focus to Actual Attempts
Remember that prep work is meant to support your shifting journey, not replace it. Set clear intentions for when you'll shift and stick to them.
2. Limit Prep Time
Give yourself a specific time frame for scripting or making mood boards (e.g., one day to make your script/ 1 hour a day for week). Then spend the rest of your time focusing on shifting.
(make sure to not be overwhelmed if you set a specific time that you are not comfortable with)
3. Visualize Instead of Overplanning
Focus on feeling like you’re in your DR. You don’t need every detail scripted; your subconscious can fill in the blanks.
(for people who feel like they can't trust their subconscious: your subconscious is YOU, it knows what you want. Your subconscious is never going against you; it always working with your desires you only need to allow to give it to you)
4. Try a “Prep Detox”
Take a break from all the prep work and focus solely on shifting for a few days. You might find it easier to connect with your DR this way. You'll see how easier shifting will become when you focus your energy on actually doing it rather then on finishing your script or making a new Pinterest board (no shade)
5. Reframe the Habit
See scripting and playlists as stepping stones, not the destination. Keep reminding yourself: the real reward is your DR, not the finished script.
6. Consistency Over Perfection
You don’t need to feel perfectly prepared to shift. Trust that you yourself is enough.
Getting stuck in the preparation stage doesn’t mean you’re not capable of shifting. It’s just a habit, and like any habit, it can be shifted (pun intended again)! Remember, your DR is waiting for you—it’s time to shift! :)

That you HAVE to shower before shifting to cleanse yourself spirituality
You can't shift accidentally
That you can't swallow while doing it
You HAVE to draw a shifting symbol on your hand if you want to shift
That if you don't listen to subliminals you won't shift
That you need to affirm all day that you gonna shift that night otherwise you won't
That it takes time to shift
That you'll be shock and lost when you shift
That your clone and you will switch consciousness and to have fun "acting" like each other
That your dr self is gonna come into this reality if you persmashift
That permashifting is k1ll1ng yourself
That you can't go into the past of your dr or have it be any other year that it is in your cr
That shifting for everyone feels like being stretched across the universe and that it hurts
That your spired guides are working against you and to sabotage your shifting journey since they want you stuck here
That if your scripted a love interest or a relationship you'll be forcing that person
That you and your drself are two separated consciousness
ASLO once I search up methods and came across a ADHD method for shifters who have trouble focusing, and it was like 5 different parts with 100 steps
When he's scary and intimidating to others but sweet and patient with me
I never really seen anybody like ever talk about this in shifting community but who have scripted those beauty videos for their drs or stuff like “I’m the most beautiful person in the world”. How did that end up and how was it to experience because you are basically unreal pretty, like it has to have some side affects and I’m curious asf. And I know the most simple answer to this would be pretty privilege but yk I’m still curious about people’s experiences

HOW TO CHANNEL SOMEONE
Channeling is connecting with someone’s energy or consciousness, allowing you to receive memories, messages, or answers.
There's a lot of ways to channel someone but I'm going to go through couple of them;
Methods: meditation and visualization/automatic writing/channeling through dreams/using a necklace or a pendulum
{a little tip}
Relax and trust the process. Often, memories and answers will come to you naturally when you're not actively trying to force them. Pay attention to sudden thoughts, feelings, or deja vu moments—they might be glimpses from your DR. Be patient.
1. MEDITATION AND VISUALIZATION
Sit or lie down in a quiet space.
Close your eyes and visualize any place you want.
Picture the person from your DR you want to connect with. Imagine their presence vividly, including their voice, appearance, and energy. Or if you want to channel your higher self you can simple ask.
In your mind or outloud, ask them to share a memory or whatever you want.
2. AUTOMATIC WRITING
Grab a pen and notebook or you can use your phone/anything you can write on.
Quiet your mind and think of the person you want to channel.
Set the intention: “I invite [Name] to share their memories with me/answer my questions”
Begin writing whatever comes to mind, without overthinking.
3. CHANNELING THROUGH DREAMS
Before bed, set the intention to meet the person in your dreams and ask for whatever you want.
Visualize the person clearly as you fall asleep, focusing on their energy and presence. Or ask a question for specific person/higher self.
{tip; set the intention to remember the dream vividly or keep something you can write it in as soon as you wake up}
4. CHANNELING WITH NECKLACE OR PENDULUM
{remember: necklace must have some kind of pendant on it}
Cleanse the tool: Run it under water, pass it through incense smoke, or visualize white light surrounding it {OPTIONAL}
Sit in a quiet space and relax. Set your intention: Hold the necklace or pendulum and say, “I call [Name] to connect with me”
Determined the movements example: back and fourth=yes. Side to side=no. Circle= maybe.
{you can write it on a paper and put it under it as your channel}
Begin channeling, and if you want to make sure it your person ask questions they will know to answer to.
You can even put a keyboard under it and have it move towards the letters as it makes a sentence.
At the end you can say goodbye.
LITTLE ADD: HOW I PERSONALLY CHANNEL AND CONNECT TO PEOPLE FROM MY DR EVERYDAY
{tips; you can make sure the pendant on your necklace is heavy enough/be in a room with no wind/ put your elbows on a hard surface as you do this to keep your hand steady/trust that connection will guide your hand.}
SOME AFFIRMATIONS YOU CAN SAY:
SAFETY
1. My boundaries are strong, and only safe connections are allowed in my space.
2. The universe (God or whoever you believe in) supports and protects me at all times.
3. Only energies that align with my highest good can reach me.
4. I am grounded, centered, and completely safe.
CHANNELLING
1. I easily connect with [Name] from and receive.
2. I am open to communication with [Name], and it flows effortlessly.
3. I am fully aligned with [Name] and those within it.
4. Memories from my DR flow to me naturally and effortlessly.
Focus on the people you want; their energy, your relationship, scenarios... and basically relax and set the intention or ask them to be present in your cr by sending your messages/signs or whatever you want. I keep this connection open and they are welcomed every day to send me messages.
A little warning:
Don't let this take over your shifting journey; remember shifting and experiencing it first hand is much better then just having memories or talking to people from your dr. Yes this can be great motivation but don't let it take over.
This is not to scare you but to warn you and remind you of what can you really have:)
