I didn’t make this art to be on purpose for halloween but I mean it looks kind of like a halloween thing so i guess it is.

I was listening to Amygdalas Ragdoll and I was like holy crap its Retz from the Hunter x Hunter movie The Phantom Rouge.

 I feel like the only good things that the movies gave me were Kurapikas backstory & Pairo, Retz, and just how freaking ridiculous they were. 

In the second movie I think it would make more sense if like. The whole power system thing that was introduced which I think was called On would be this guy Jets Nen ability and he was just crazy enough that it made everybody think it was its own power system. Part of the Nen ability would be able to let others sign a Nen contract to obtain the same power that he has.

Anyways The Phantom Rouge is a lot better than The Last Mission in my opinion.

I freaking love Retz she has such wasted potential and I hate how much hate i’ve seen for him. I think its bc of shipping wars and urrrr uuurrgghhh errrrrr no. I don’t ship Retz with anybody and I don’t think I need to. Just shut the up and let Killua and Gon and Retz be friends!!!! 

It was really annoying but also really funny how Killua was so freaking pissy about Retz like. “Oh you’re standing up for yourself?? Oh?? Oh? Wel” 💥💥💥

I really like how Retz stood up for himself though instead of just having Gon doing it for her. It just shows that she’s even more of an awesome character.

IM SO MAD THAT THEY KILLED HER OFF THOUGH but at least the fire scene was epic. The whole thing about Retz being a doll or whatever too was cool and also I wish that they did more with Omokage and Retz’s relationship as siblings. 

That’s another interesting thing that Killua and Retz could have gotten along over. Obviously Retz would probably be more open about talking abt his brother and Killua err… Yea I don’t think he would be very eager to talk about Illumi lol.

Omokage also could have been an awesome character but im sorry… HES SO FREAKING EDGY THAT I CANT. WHAT IS HIS CHARACTER DESIGN.

He looks like a Wizard 101 boss im not even lying… 

I want a better interpretation of his character. The ex-phantom troupe member is a cool concept and oh my god. The nen ability concept is great too. I love how creepy it is with the puppets and the eyes, but it could use some working out. I forgot how it worked, but the fact that he used the phantom troupe and Pairo was bizzare. 

His personality from what I remember is interesting too. He seems to want to protect Retz and have her be happy but he really is not doing a good job at that. Given that he uses people and puppets in his nen ability, and the fact that he is an ex-phantom troupe member obviously makes him cold-hearted. 

What about their parents too?? ahh I have to watch this movie again.

I think that his character was this way because it was in the movie, which is made of Non canon material, and these characters were only gonna exist in this like 90 minute movie so they weren’t going to be as deep or as memorable as the main characters or anybody in the main series. Retz did stick with me, though.

Okay, I know Holy is like, a sweet, gentle woman or whatever, but there’s no possible way she’s not strong enough to handle having her own Stand. She’s the mother of Jotaro Kujo for gods sake, and she raised him almost completely by herself. Surely she’s got enough “fighting spirit” to handle whatever the hell a Stand could dish out.

I headcanon that Holy’s Stand wouldn’t have actually killed her had it been left to develop. Maybe Joseph was just being overprotective of his daughter, thinking her Stand actually was sapping her life. If Josuke developed a fever before Crazy Diamond showed itself, maybe it was the same deal for Holy? I think she just needed time and would have come out fine on the other side like Josuke obviously did.

Leorio’s INSANE New Nen Abilities (HXH 2022) comments on youtube

I think Leorio might learn an advanced form of nen exorcism to remove the curses Kurapika puts on himself. Leorio can perform remote surgeries without slicing you up. It is possible he can look at the chains Kurapika puts on hearts and use his aura go momentarily passify the nen inside him. The idea that Leorio manages to block Kurapika’s aura nodes/pores in order to save him from himself, is even more terrifying than any nen curse or contract if you think about it. With advanced and precise nen knowledge paired with medicine, Leorio could force someone into a zetsu state with no way out as you would with a nen exorcist and a curse. The only way would be risking one’s life exposing themselves to forcing their pores open like Killua and Gon did with Wing. If you’re correct about Leorio using his ability to shut off Nen, even temporarily, then I think he’ll use it on Kurapika in order to shut off Emperor Time and stop Kurapika from losing too many years. Possibly after Kurapika passes out again.

Indeed. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Leorio discovers a longevity/eternal life substance on the Dark Continent (a substance which would instantly turn Leorio into a multi-billionaire) only for Leorio to then turn around and give it to Kurapika so that Kurapika will have all of his lost years back, selflessly giving up money so that his friend can live a long life. I’m thinking that it would be more interesting if instead of just disabling nen abilities, Leorio develops a detailed understanding of the nen beasts to the point where he can hijack them. It would cover his lack of strength/aura, serve to justify the nen beasts being a thing (because compared to all other nen powers these are a little bit out of left field), and at the end of the arc he walks out with multiple nen beasts at his command.

Leorio  could be used to deal with the calamities. If Ging was able to use Ultrasound to find people maybe Leorio could use it on the ground to find out where things are like Pap and direct people away from potential danger. Remote punch could help if Pap has gotten stuck into someone to rip them away. I dont know what would happen to the person infected though, would the pleasure be so good that they would voluntarily go back and be infected again and that could be a good side story like the side effects of people who are infected by DC things.Show less

It was honestly a bit of a surprise that someone like you even wanted to join the Phantom Troupe.

You were strong enough on your own, having managed to survive since childhood without anyone but yourself. You never had to rely on anyone.

When you first approached the team it set them all on edge.

There was no telling what your true intentions were, and they had dealt with their fair share of deceivers in the past years.

No matter how hard they tried there was just no reading you.

There was nothing behind those eyes, a blank look that could be hiding anything - and there would be no drawing it out.

Your strength was unparalleled, frankly they would have been stupid not to accept you in their ranks and risk making you an enemy.

But the daunting expressionless look on your face would never cease to cause a chill up some of their spines.

Nothing that anyone tried to do could get a flicker of change out of you.

Shalnark cracking jokes that would normally get people to crumple in heaps of laughter? No reaction.

Phinks with his insatiable flirting, something that at the very least would make someone angry? Nope.

Hisoka and his ever constant desire to fight someone he deemed as strong? No dice.

Sure, they were used to stone cold characters in the ranks. After all they had someone like Feitan who rarely showed emotions besides brief bouts of anger. Or the Boss who very rarely expressed his emotions outright.

But you were simply a different breed.

In fact someone of them were beginning to think that you lacked the ability to feel anything at all.

Somehow that didn't seem impossible.

They didn't know very much about you, besides the fact that you had grown up in Meteor City (...much like some of them...) and only left when you felt strong enough to defend yourself.

So it was possible that something had happened to make you like this.

Feitan suggested you had been tortured beyond repair, and lost all sense of emotions because of it. He was pretty sure it was possible, though he himself typically killed his victims before they made it that far.

Everyone was ready to accept that explanation and drop the subject all together. Besides Shizuku who actually wanted to ask about it, though the others persuaded her not to.

They were satisfied.

Until one day Nobunaga saw you smiling.

Your smile was so bright, and strangely attractive on your normally stoic face.

He was pretty sure that you didn't know he was there.

Or else you definitely wouldn't be smiling as much as you were.

Though what shocked him the most was who you were smiling at, you eyes were more filled with life than he had ever seen as you gazed upwards at the giant man playfully laughing with you.

Uvogin had somehow managed to drag you out of your stony stupor where everyone else had failed to do so.

It was very strange to watch you laugh with the large man, a warmth covering you like a sheen of sweat. Nobunaga balked as you put a hand on Uvogin's large bicep and allowed him to pull you into a bone crushing hug.

Nobunaga felt slightly betrayed to learn that his closest friend had managed to become so close to the cold troupe member and told not even him.

But when he saw how suddenly shy you became as Uvogin began to affectionately nuzzle his face into your neck he understood

Whether it was romantic or not, there was clearly an indisputable love between the two of you that rivaled anything else.

Uvogin wouldn't risk breaking that amount of trust with someone he cared about by bragging about it to the others.

So no matter how much Nobunaga wanted to confront his friend, or scream to all the others about how he had saw your amazing smile, he turned around to leave. Completely missing the thankful look on his best friend's face as he retreated.

Gon and Killua:  After reuniting on while island because Killua got sappy and Alluka got tired of Killua’s lovesick bullshit, Killua and Gon have since built their own treehouse not far away from Mito’s. 

The treehouse features:  -frog wallpaper -various frog decoration -a living room -a kitchen (features minifridge and microwave) -a game room -a side room filled with chocorobos -a closet filled with AirPods (currently empty) -a walk-in closet (for Killua) -a balcony -a slide -a diving board for jumping in the nearby river  -three spare rooms for when Alluka visits

Gon and Killua have feelings for each other, but they’ve yet to address this together. Get to it gays. Speaking of which, Killua is currently working on finding a method to confess…

The events of the Chimera Ant Arc still affect them.

Alluka: Alluka meets up with Gon and Killua for weekly Minecraft sessions, if not more often. She doesn’t live in the treehouse, instead staying with Mito and attending the local school. She and Nanika are both epic gamers, and they say fuck.

Retz: The events of the Hunter x Hunter movies are NOT canon to this AU. However, Gon and Killua met Retz in Yorknew City and managed to ditch her after she tried getting them obsessed with fanfiction and showed her cishet nature. She’s still a dead puppet, and has been such for 10 years. 

Since then, she’s managed to track down Gon to Whale Island, pretended to be a lost child so Mito felt obligated to take her in, and spends her days harassing Gon and Killua while writing her KilluaOC fic Contaminated Begonias.

This is what I'm saying and this is why I hate phantom rouge Killua because of his "transphobic" behaviour, like... He don't even know the genre of his two last siblings why would he be so mean with a random blonde boy anyway Retz deserves better! And stan his first design before he became a unoriginal gothic lolita

i think the worst, most ooc moment in that one bad hxh movie was when killua got mad and “outed” and attacked retz for dressing up as a guy. like not only whoever wrote the movie had no idea who killua was as a character, but he literally has a trans sister that he respects and defends why would he get mad and out someone!!!

Hey guys! Sorry for the darkness of headcanons, I really wanted to share these because I wanted to give insight on Hisoka’s character. Are his actions in the series good? NO. Are they justified? NO. But can we try to understand the reasoning behind his actions and realize Hisoka is not too far gone nor a monster? I believe so, I feel that there is A LOT under the character we see and I wish we could see more of Hisoka’s character because there is a lot of unknowns that come with Hisoka. Hisoka is one of the most fascinating characters in the HxH series and a true wild card when it comes to backstory, we truly know nothing and I wish we could see more character development.
