Retz and Omokage’s horrible bond

Hunter x hunter has some siblings.

Some very concerning sibling bonds.

Now not all of them are what I just pictured them to be.

There are those that are wholesome like Killua and Alluka’s.

But there are some who just..

Just no.

Please.

Retz and Omokage is a sad but horrifying example.

This man doesn’t doubt on his actions towards others not even his own sister.

Have you ever watched Full metal alchemist?

If you have, you might remember the dog and the girl fused together by their father.

THIS IS THE EXACT SAME THING.

OMOKAGE, RETZ’S BrOThER FUSED HER WITH A PORCELAIN DOLL.

HOW HORRIBLE IS THAT??!?!?!

BRO WHO DOES THAT?!?!?

POOR RETZ I ACTUALLY REALLY LOVED HER!!!

But that man just had to do me like that.

No he just had to do it.

She had her whole life ahead of her but nope.

And what’s even sadder is that she didn’t deserve this. She was his assistant but only to help him make dolls not to be one.

It just felt like a waste to me.

And to make matters worse, she just had to die at the end. Omokage said it himself that even if he dies, his dolls will still keep living.

I was really disappointed and I even cried at some point.

She was so sweet and even if she was supposed to hand Gon and Killua over to him, she helped them instead.

When she met them, Gon already acknowledged her help and accepted their friendship and it took more time to do that with Killua but it still worked.

She wouldn’t have died if Omokage hadn’t turned her into a doll and she could have survived on her own at the end of the movie.

Her death just seemed wrong and pointless.

Like I said, she could have lived without her brother on her own even in her new form.

So why the sudden death?

Literally it was so rushed!

I really hate this guy for being who he is like no!!!

Even after all this, a part of her still loves him and wishes to be a puppeteer when she grows up.

All of the suffering he gave her, and she still managed to see some good in him and to get some inspiration and admiration from him.

It’s sad.

It’s sad to think that they dearly love each other even after death.

Her brother was blinded by his goals and did this to his own sister.

But I genuinely love Retsu and nothing will make me change that.

Ever.
