placing her hands on her chest, eleanor nodded to the other. "yes please, i'm looking for someone and well..." she trailed off, trying to think of some way to explain what had just happened. one moment, she was bracing for impact, taking one last look at nikolas as he did the same. then she woke up in a coffin, six feet under the ground and she wasn't sure how much time had past. looking at tris with wide eyes, tears welled in her eyes as memories flashed through her brain. "i'm sorry, i just went through something really traumatic and i don't think i'm handling it very well. do you know where we can get some water?"
unfortunately disorientation had become something a little too familiar for the vampire. ever since her transition. spotting the woman a good distance away, tris' newly sensitive hearing picked up a bit of confusion lacing her voice. recently they had not been one to butt into anyone else's business. in fact she would rather stay on the periphery completely. though there was something about the other that drew tris in. so instead of turning the other way, the vamp made their way over to her. " you seem a little lost. i don't really know the place, but i can try and help. "
she watched the emotions flash through his face, his eyes changing in the slightest way each time, but it was so easy for her to notice. shaking her head, eleanor wasn't sure how to explain any of it, still reeling from the journey to get to here. her fingers rubbed under his eyes, heat rising in her body from where his skin met hers. being near him brought all of her senses that were lacking back. shaking her head to his comment, elle smiled softly knowing that this all did seem like a dream. "it's real, i don't know how but it's real. i'm really here." grabbing his hands she placed them on her cheeks, hoping that he would feel the same way she had just moments ago. "see i'm warm."
eleanor wasn't sure if she was okay, every basic need such as water, food and some form of getting clean were required. looking down at her body and then back to nikolas she shrugged. "everything felt so dull until i found you...." she trailed off to see the apartment, realizing no one was actively living in it. there was no life or happiness, only dust and some boxes. ellie's eyes found his again. "nik, i'm so sorry." she admitted, even though there was nothing for her to be sorry for, she still felt a deep sense of guilt. "i just crawled out of a grave and i'm such a mess...."
all she wanted was for him to hold her and never let go. his touched solved so many problems in the past, but could it now? there was no tell of how long she'd been in that coffin. eleanor wasn't even sure if she remembered anything after her death. no heaven waited for her, just the feeling of that he was missing.
" how is this possible ? " he breathed . he had felt an unwavering amount of emotions . nikolas had felt happiness , joy , guilt , worry , love , and grief among other things as his piercing blue eyes searched for an explanation . the sandy blonde male wondered if turning off his emotions meant burying the thing he loved the most . " this can't be real . . this is just all in my head . " he breathed the words to himself , that or i've completely gone mad , he assumed before he felt her hands on his cheekbone .
the words whispered from her lips played on his ears like a symphony as she spoke his name ;; and in that moment he knew the truth . his fiance wasn't some hallucination or some vivid image he had conjured up in his mind . no , she was real , she was alive . " elle . " he whispered . all nikolas wanted to do was pull eleanor into him and hold her tight , but the fear of harming her stayed forefront . " oh , my god , are you okay ? " his questioned as they spoke at the same time , but he heard her question . how long has it been ? she had asked . " too long ?" he found himself staring into her haunting baby blue eyes , afraid more then anything that he would lose her again .
No longer a danger to herself or others She made up her mind and laced up her shoes Yelled down the hall, but nobody answered So she walked outside without an excuse She can do anything she wants to She can do whatever she wants to do She could go home, but she's not going to

everything was fuzzy. yet at the same time so vibrant, the whole thing gave her a headache, one she couldn't seem to shake. ever since crawling out of the grave, there were only two things on eleanor's mind, water and her fiancee. placing unruly hair behind her ears, she walked toward the french quarter in search for both. the thing was, she had no money on her. so to get any answers, the anxiously meek woman looked around for someone kind enough to notice she was in distress.
"excuse me, could uhh..." she trailed off unable to get the attention of another, sulking her shoulders forward. ellie's brain felt as if it heavy, as the bright lights strained her already blurry vision.
the star card // upright: hope, faith, rejuvenation // reversed: faithlessness, discouragement, insecurity
'cause i was never told that i wasn't gonna get, the things i want the most, but people always say, "if it hasn't happened yet then maybe you should go" -- chappell roan california
josie had lost a lot of her faith after the merge, but now that lizzie is back from the dead and hope is talking to her again, it appears there is a rejuvenation on the rise. the siphoner is filled with a type of hope that she thought was long lost. for the first time in a long time, it appears that she is putting her wants first, as she know begins the search for masked woman she met at the masquerade ball.
however, josie is filled with insecurity, something that she desperately is trying to work on, but it does get in the way. for three years, she was faithless, loosing all want to really be a person in the world. something that was met with discouragement after dabbling in black magic in europe.
can josie find herself again?
I know you don’t believe in this, in us, yet. But you will. Oh, I’ve been looking for someone like you for a long, long time.

it felt like a fever dream, josie watched through the mirror as lizzie got ready for the masquerade, starring as if the girl hung the stars in the sky. for three years, she prayed to so many gods for the person before her to do this again. get ready for some wonderful night, were the only thing on their minds was having a good time. there of course were those parts of the siphoner that felt scared about it all, but it was being heavily overshadowed but how dreamy this felt. honestly, she couldn't put into words, for so long she had been unhappy and now it felt as if that never happened. the twins managed to match in a way, both wearing blue dresses, something that made them giggle because of course.
sitting at the vanity, she applied the last of her lipstick before turning to finally face lizzie. "is the blue eyeshadow too much?" she asked, an eyebrow arched in uncertainty.

the demon tilted their head with a sweet smile, happy to take the compliment in. "thank you hope. i have a few other plans with this outfit, tyler is not happy about the whole me joining the faction, but it's kinda hard to be mad when i look like this." her hands hovered around her breasts before letting out a chuckle, admiring the humor that poured out of the tribrid beside her. she was a lot like her mother and father, it seemed like every good part of klaus managed to shine with his daughter. something that gabriela could relate to even though she'd never tell him that. "ohh yeah, i forgot you don't really need to do the whole breathing thing. i'm sure your mom would love this conversation if i was not having it with you."
gabriela hated the way her family and the mikaelsons still held such anger towards each other. it was something she hoped to change, but the murders got in the way of that plan. hayley had already agreed, that there was no need for any of them to hate one another. all of them had done some horrible things, all out of fear and thinking it would provide their loved ones safety. "hope can i just say, it has been really nice seeing you and kaya be friends. i know there is a lot of bad feelings our families have had towards each other...." they'd never say it, not yet, but they also loved hope and her siblings. the demon took great pride in her family and that love grew bigger, as she met other families who held that loyalty as well. "i wish i could change the things that had been done, the things i've done, but we just can't and it also doesn't help to hold it in."
" WELL IF IT HELPS ANY, you are an absolute vision, gabbi. " the tribid complimented with a bright smile, tense shoulders relaxing slightly despite the tinge of animosity held for her husband hope wasn't unaware of the reason why it existed and while that often made for an awkward moment or millions between herself and kaya ⸺ she couldn't deny the high regard she placed her friend in and that somewhat extended to her mother, even if such sentiment would NEVER actually feel true where tyler was concerned. " at the very least, we'd be having a better time breathing. " she mused with a snort. " suppose it's lucky, that technically i don't have to. " the advantages of an activated vampire side. " secret is safe with me, after all if i told her you said it, then i'd have to admit i HEARD it and that just opens an entirely different can of worms... that none of us deserve to dive in to. "
the boy before her seemed more worried than most while shopping at the farmers market. normally, people were care-free knowing that it was the last few hours before heading back to the working week. taking a small package of blueberries out of her bag, she then handed them over to charlie with a grin. "here you go, i bought a lot of them earlier. planning on making some type of cobbler but i got way too many so i'd rather them not go to waste."
giving the other another glance, she realized why he looked so familiar. "are your parents hayley and elijah?"
Charlie looked down at the piece of paper that had his father's shopping list on it. Blueberries weren't on the list. He had been told to stick to the list and only the list. "I'm sure," he replied, as he surveyed the items he had gathered.
He knew that the blueberries weren't on the list, but he couldn't resist the temptation. "I'll keep that in mind for next time, but it's for my father. He won't mind if I don't pay full price," he responded with a shrug of his shoulders as he grabbed his order and started to put it into his backpack. "Maybe I'll have to try the blueberries next time," he thought to himself, already planning his next excursion to the store.
shaking her head, the siphoner couldn't even be mad at the outburst. something was off in the city, maybe even the world and it was hard to figure out what it was. josie could feel it as if it was happening below her feet, little did she know that it actually was. "honestly, don't worry about it. i barely slept last night."
shrugging her shoulders, josie gave the other a sweet smile and nodded. "yeah sure that sounds great, but i will buy the next round. i mean you can't have only one pina colada." a soft giggle left her lips, before placing all of her belongings in a tote. "i'm josie, by the way."
mau knew she shouldn’t get snappy and angry at the other, it was a simple mistake. her eyes roaming the patch and seeing the others towel a mere few meters away. a long drawn out sigh escaped her lips. “yeah sorry..didn’t mean to snap.” she remarked, scratching the back of her neck. her anger being worse than it was when she first triggered her werewolf gene. “i’ll buy you a drink to make up for being so snappy for you, it’s the least I can do.”
with her head in her hands, she let her shoulders shrug slowly. because it was true, seeing a demon cry or feel any type of emotion was off. that was the whole issue they faced, they felt the things demons shouldn't. it felt like a terrible curse, something rebekah knew about all too well. sighing softly, gabriela wiped her eyes and lifted her head. "i'll get there, i just need to cry about it for a moment. it's a nightmare being a demon with a soul. raymis doesn't get it and now he's taunting me saying he owns me. no one fucking owns me but me."
there was nothing the demon hated more was an entitled person, it made her blood boil. "honestly, i wouldn't be crying if my family wasn't involved. he tortured my child bex. they will pay for what they have done."
"Well, isn't this a sight," she said dryly, crossing her arms as she looked down at Gabriela. "The mighty demon, sitting on a rock, looking like a tragic painting. If only I had a camera."
She let out a sigh, softening slightly as she continued. "I suppose I should offer some sage advice, but truly, it's a first."
Rebekah took a seat next to Gabriela, her tone still laced with sarcasm but with a hint of empathy. "Look, wallowing isn't going to fix anything. figure out your next move, one sarcastic remark at a time."
