I feel like no one’s mentioned it but I love that lucifer has a widows peak. I have one with a cowlick that makes me kind of annoyed bc I can’t style my hair too well as a result. To see a character (even if he’s the actual DEVIL bc he slayss) rock a widows peak makes me happier to have it :)
OH BOI HE PEAKING
I really appreciate the realness these characters have. The deal itself isn’t realistic other than something similar to fwb but the show allowing us to see why these characters act the way they do and how it changes how they see themselves and the world and their misunderstanding of each others words due to that (it’s inevitability) is so raw and real. I love how they’re getting space. Always liked stolitz but they never really knew each other, got to see and understand who the other really was so how could they have anything more than a crush on each other? It’s like since the fight they’ve started to interact with the real versions of each other that their pedestals of each other haven’t allowed. Not to mention the fact that the basis of the relationship IS really bad.
I especially love this about stolitz because you never see that ‘crushes and incorrect perceptions of each other to real feelings to dating’ progression in media. Or at least if not dating, understanding and growing from the experience. In my experience, lots of situationships or things that can develop into relationships don’t have this linear ‘they like each other then they date’ progression. Instead, like stolitz, it’s everything’s the same except for some key moments. In stolitz these are
Stolas can get hurt
the deal
stolas saving blitz and crew
OZZIES
full moon argument and gift of the crystal
now their convo in the hate party with verosika
(blitz only) Blitz’s trip
their first meeting as kids
their first meeting as adults
and these key moments need to be remembered to view the relationship holistically and ask “does this person have good intentions towards me?” or “do we work well as a couple?” “Is it worth staying together or making something more out of this?” etc
TO CONCLUDE
I like how real it is. I guess often relationships are smooth crushes that develop into something more real, but the reality for a lot of people is that at least before they sort out most of their issues, their relationships are probably going to be full of misunderstanding and miscommunication and pedestals like this. I hope the show deals with this concept well to set an example for people like me who have felt this way. LMK if you agree or your thoughts !

this made me realise- like how there’s so many parallels and characters with recurring themes in s2 compared to s1, do you think we’ll get a sangwoo/gihun squid game scene between inho and gihun? In a way I hope not bc I want s3 to feel really fresh but also it would be interesting. I’m calling it now, there will be some call backs like the knife scene. Also GIHUN PLEASE DONT DIE IN S3 IM BEGGING YOU
i feel insane even saying it but there was something so deeply hannigram about the frontman and gi-hun in squid game 2.
something something a cold blooded experienced killer who’s able to indulge his darker instincts from a position of power and privilege finds obsessive interest in someone he views as similar to him, only unwilling to submit to those base instincts because of his need to help other people. under the guise of being his close confidant, he slowly wears him down and takes him apart in a cat and mouse game he ends up far too involved in, manipulating his circumstances until the perfect second to reveal his own betrayal of the same creature he found so interesting.
i mean, the frontman looked almost satisfied when gi-hun suggested sacrificing people for the “greater good” after being so unwilling to cause harm, something that himself in episode 1 would have been horrified at. and that came so soon after the scene of in-ho himself, killing a man out of necessity so he and others could live just as gi was suggesting doing.
all they need is a homoerotic stabbing scene in s3 and they’re set.
