Okay, so this was posted today:
Ahh, those little quips.
And apparently this was posted last year:
Top source of FDI?? America is making a point of mentioning that England is a strong source of money? So England is America's sugar...nation, huh.
I can't help being reminded of the scene where England's dying and America is getting all emotional, telling him, "You can't die!" before quickly adding, "You still owe me moneeyyy!!!"
Also, "UKinUSA" šš

Demon Days England!Ā
Inspired by @lofi-tophatās postĀ on Hetalia characters in the style of popular art/animation of their countries.Ā
Personally I donāt get anything from the part people are upset over but āEngland is tsundere for Americaā. I do greatly appreciate the confirmation of that and OF COURSE the statement about how important America is to him is so lovely. And he ācanāt quite say his true feelings?ā Bless you, England. He acts like an adult on the surface, but only to America. Underneath, heās very different- itās as if he feels he has to deal with him like a grownup who suppresses his heart. - is pretty much a word for word description of what a tsundere is. So basically England is tsundere but only for America is what Iāve got. And Hima even says āheās a tsundereā at the end of the blurb. Most of the time in anime/manga when thereās a couple the creator is always more open about one sideās feelings than the otherās, and APH is no exception (AusHun, Chibitalia/HRE, etc.). And this is just so normal that I donāt quite understand why some people are upset over the fact that Hima isnāt as overt when discussing Americaās feelings. Americaās concern and the way that England impacts him is made clear in the strips itself, and almost every scene in which we see America being very serious or touched involves England. US and UK are a lot like a Takahashi couple. America isnāt a perfect fit for jerk with a heart of gold, but he fits in ways that matters (heās also a bit of a tsundere himself). England is of course, a tsundere. Because of that Englandās feelings are ALWAYS going to be more evident because thatās just the way the trope works and the way the character types work. The tsundere will generally realize their feelings long before the other, and this will be made apparent.
Americaās canon obliviousness really plays into this as itās very commonly found in relationships like this. Itās one of the things that generally sets a 'tsundereā character off. The tsundere works up the courage to show their feelings in some way, but the other character doesnāt get what theyāre going for. Happens all the time, and it happens with these two.
One difference between them and the typical couple in that trope is that theyāre really both equally at fault for the fail. Sometimes the tsundere is less at fault in couples, but there are just as many moments where America is trying with England and doesnāt get the desired response as there is with England trying toward America (which is why I canāt stand the poor England, America is so mean mindset some of fandom has. Theyāre BOTH like that). The boys suck at communicating, which is also really common in the trope (and often if the characters just sat down and talked for a bit, all would be solved). I do believe that USxUK is set up like a couple. Hetalia has always been a series that plays with tropes a lot (part of its parody aspect), and they are no exception. I think that this new info is great, and I donāt personally agree with the idea that itās indicative of unrequited love or whatnot. To me itās almost the opposite. Itās the same kind of statements you see about couples like this all the time. And that actually really makes me happy.
Oān iān meddwl heddi am sut mae Cymru yn siarad. Cyfaddaf fy mod iān dod o Gaerdydd felly dydw i ddim mor gyfarwydd ag acenion gogledd a gorllewin Cymru.
Dychmygaf ei fod yn siarad gyda acen eithaf generig yn saesneg rhan fwyaf oār amser (e.e pan maeān mynd i cyfarfodydd rhwngwladol (sydd yn anghyffredin)) ac acen fwy gog pan mae yn ei gwlad ei hyn. Wrth iddo siarad saes dwiān sicr ei fod yn defnyddio geiriau cymraeg trwyār amser ac pan maeān siarad cymraeg dyw e ddim yn defnyddio geiriau saesneg o gwbl. Mae hyn yn gwneud iddo swnio fel hen ddyn rhan fwyaf oār amser gan ei fod o ddim yn defnyddio bratiaith.
Credaf i bod Cymru yn siarad gyda acen cymraeg trwm iawn pan maeān siarad saesneg gyda Lloegr jest iāw wylltio. Ble maeār acen o? Maeān dibynnu sut maeān teimlo siwr o fod. Credaf hefyd bod ei acĆŖn yn dod yn trwmach pan maeān flinedig. Os mae o digon grac ei fod yn gweiddi mae yn barod wedi newid nol iār gymraeg.
Iāve been thinking about how wales speaks and what his accent might be. I confess Iām from Cardiff, Walesās capital, and Iām not as familiar with northern and western accents.
I imagine that wales speaks with a fairly generic welsh accent most of the time (like when heās at international summits (though he doesnāt attend those very often)) and a more northern accent when in wales. When he speaks english Iām convinced he uses welsh words and directly translated welsh idioms all the time, and that when he speaks welsh he never uses any English. This makes him sound like an old and very proper/nit-picky man since most welsh slang is just English loanwords.
I believe that wales uses a very heavy welsh accent just to wind England up. Whereās it from? Depends how heās feeling I guess. I also believe his accent becomes heavier the more tired he is. If heās angry enough that heās shouting then he probably switched back to welsh 10 minutes ago.
How is Wales and Ireland relationship? And also, what's your opinion on England's and Scotland's marriage? (300 year lol) Do you think North Ireland hates England too?
1) Good I think, both of them seems very talkative and can start a chat at anytime. In old days Ireland would go across the sea, but Wales doesnāt come out often so they donāt meet a lot.
The only problem is they probably canāt understand each other very easily, at least from their mouth I donāt think itāll look like the same language anymore? Good luck to them.
2) Inevitable. Porbably the best decision that could be made at that time.
Scotland probably doesnāt like to talk about it very much.
Actually getting money without having to work in modern days is probably not that bad. But I still want to divorce.
3)
Happy St. Patrick's Day from Ireland!
My current headcanon about the mysterious gentleman that haunts Ireland is that he's a spiritual reincarnation of the actual St. Patrick that introduced Catholicism to the country. If you look at the artistic depictions of St. Patrick, and the spooky spirit that gives him advice, they strike an uncanny resemblance!
Lonely ghost
This started out as a doodle but then I tried solving math exercises (emphasis on the word tried) and I felt so helpless, stupid and unworthy that I decided to finish this. I'm not one to draw backgrounds, especially when it's an urban setting with a lot of buildings but hey, math helped me find the motivation š
I didn't actually do the lineart though š
