I Love That Inscryption Is A Game Full Of Secrets, With Multiple ARGs, And The Last (probably) Secret

I love that Inscryption is a game full of secrets, with multiple ARGs, and the last (probably) secret isn't about the plot and all the implications of the evils we learn about in the game and through the other ARGs. It's just about a fucked up little guy who doesn't really matter to anything.

Robert Rodriguez also made Shark Boy and Lava Girl which stars David Arquette as the main characters dad

In the Scream movies, the fictional horror movie Stab (an in-universe adaptation of the events of Scream) is made by Robert Rodriguez—real world filmmaker of the Mexico/Desperado Trilogy, Spy Kids, Machete, etc.

After Sidney Prescott successfully sues Sunrise Studios for the first 3 Stab movies’ depiction of her life, they’re forced to shift the Stab franchise away from being based on in-universe real events. The subsequent sequels quickly jump the shark, with Stab 5 even involving time travel.

There is an existing trend of horror movies with a quadrillion sequels eventually dipping into crossovers with other franchises (Alien Vs Predator, Freddy Vs Jason, etc.), as well as one of original directors returning to make sequels many years, even decades, after the original—sometimes after several lower quality sequels—in an attempt to revitalize the series (Wes Craven w/ Nightmare on Elm Street, Ridley Scott w/ Alien).

It is also not unprecedented for Robert Rodriguez to connect his films in some way, whether with easter eggs & references, or setting them in the same universe, even reusing entire characters.

Which leads me to this conclusion: there is a possibility that in the Scream universe, Robert Rodriguez returns to the Stab franchise to make a crossover titled Machete Stabs, in which Isador “Machete” Cortez (of Spy Kids & Machete fame), played by Danny Trejo, fights Ghostface.

This is a reminder that ICWA, the Indian Child Welfare Act, is at risk.

This act was created to stop cultural genocide. Until the late 1900s, Native American and Alaska Native children were routinely kidnapped and placed in residential schools and white families, where they faced abuse, forced assimilation, and sometimes murder. ICWA was passed in 1978 to stop this by allowing tribes to control the foster and adoption placement of Native American and Alaska Native children.

However, the SCOTUS is hearing a case that could overturn ICWA. This would not only endanger children and allow cultural genocide, but it would endanger tribal sovereignty since it would deny sovereign tribes the rights over the placement of their own children.

The decision is expected in March. Please stand up for the rights of Native Americans and Alaska Natives.

Spread the word about what is happening. Don't let this get swept under the rug. Post about it. Tell your friends and family.

Sign petitions.

Write to representatives.

Reach out to local tribes to see what you can do to help.

Protest.

And if you can afford to do so, donate to Native American and Alaska Native organizations like the Native American Rights Fund, the Lakota Law Project, the National Indian Child Welfare Association, etc.

Concept that won't leave me alone;

If Grimora had the OLD_DATA at the start of the game, I reckon she'd go for a dungeon crawler. Imagine, you wake up in darkness and in the distance sits a candleabra and some decrepit tombstones. An ominous voice speaks from behind them, narrating your journey and giving cryptic hints, slowly becoming less encouraging and more frigid.

The crypt is divided by checked tiles and the candle will only reveal ones in your nearest vicinity. For every step you take, ghosts and ghouls in the darkness will move- hostile or otherwise- and will engage if you move onto the same tile.

It's essentially a reimagining of her segment in Act 2 and the board she has in the finale, just given a more 3D spin compared to Leshy and P03's tabletop gameplay. Once you actually get to her, you see her chessboard and the pieces she's been controlling to battle you. Now that you've bested her ghouls, she wants to add you to her collection-

oh shit how cool would it be if you're roaming around and you find a ghoul with the name from your last run :0c maybe instead of having a death card, they offer you one of the cards from your old deck?

This shits so clear in my minds eye, but illustrating it has been a pain. Now that it's out in written form, maybe I can focus on the other concept gnawing on my corpse?

Casual reminder that The Lonely Wizard is around twice the height of Magnificus. Given that Magnificus is not the shortest Scrybe (I assume he’s around 6 ft), The Lonely Wizard has to be anywhere between 10-12 feet tall

In the finale the shot of the town shows they live in Aberdale from Clarence, which takes place in Arizona.

I used to hate the word faggot but now I realize that it's probably one of the only things that the gay community has left that isn't being sanitized, shined, and sold back to us at a premium by deceitful ass companies who claim to like us but then vote for policies that kill us. you're not gonna see a bank in a pride parade with banners that say "we love faggots" but you sure as hell will see a gay person saying "I love being a faggot" it feels so more real.

and I want it to stay controversial too because if a bank ever feels like they have the right to say "haha faggot right guys? 😏🏳️‍🌈" we should be able to publicly execute their ceo
