I want you to imagine yourself, fifty years from now, sitting with your grandchildren. Imagine them asking you “what did you do during the Gazan Genocide?” What will you say? Will you say “I did nothing?” Will you say “I did what I could?” By donating to this fundraiser, you will be able to say “I saved a man from cancer.” I’m sure many of you have seen the fundraiser for @mohiy-gaza2 . What you might not know is that Mohiy himself is very sick. He told me himself that he recently had an MRI to diagnose a tumor in his pancreas, and now needs surgery to remove his spleen. Dealing with these illnesses is difficult enough for those of us lucky enough to live in peaceful countries; in a warzone Mohiy’s task is nothing short of horrific. I know pancreatic cancer is a difficult disease, but with our help, I believe Mohiy can beat it.

I know there are other fundraisers on your dash. I’m sure your bank accounts are already low from the donations you’ve already made. All I can do is beg you, from the bottom of my heart: help Mohiy and his family. I’ve already donated; please find it in your heart to donate whatever you can. To quote Mohiy himself:

Hi Everyone, Muhammad (@zeanyahya5) Has Reach Out Asking Me To Share His Family's Story To You All. He

he is currently responsible for their safety during the genocide, as well as for his wife and his two elderly parents. his family has been displaced NINE TIMES, and they struggle every day in the face of death, injury, disease, and lack of basic necessities like food, clean water, and medical care. muhammad hesitated at first to begin fundraising to leave gaza, but after losing friends and loved ones to the genocide, the thought of losing his family became too much to bear.

any amount you can spare to them makes a difference; as of 8/21, he has currently raised only €5,996 of his €25,000 goal since opening his fundraiser in EARLY APRIL. so please, donate whatever you're able, and share if you can't. give muhammad and his family hope that they can reach safety and apply for asylum once they are safe. make a difference in their lives and safeties.

Genuinely how do anime-onlys of literally any series do it. Whenever I get obsessed with a show and I KNOW there's more, I have to immediately go and devour the manga. Your guys' patience is something else.

A four-page comic for a poem called "Cut Through the Noise". The colours are taken from the Palestine flag.

"There's a lot of noise right now
Screams dehumanizing poor souls
Groans from those in willful ignorance"

Against a red background, a white-coloured Muslim woman wearing a hijab and a dress clutches her face and looks up with horrified eyes. Surrounding her are spiky bubble outlines and shadows of upside-down angular snakes that have the head of a human crossing each other. The snake on the left is rolling its eyes and thinking of scribbles. The snake on the right is furiously yelling. The spiky speech bubbles next to it feature blood in the first one, a puddle of blood next to two Xs in the second one, and a pair of eyes above a knife dripping with blood.
"People digging deeper and deeper holes
And it's overwhelming, it really is
I do not blame you
Sometimes you feel that your voice is too small
I feel that way too"

Against a red background is a shadow of a deep hole with the Muslim woman at the bottom, hugging her knees. Above, an IDF soldier looks down, holding a rifle. The text of the poem goes down the hole.
"But despite that, I urge you to keep going
And demand for what's right
Even it sounds like a whimper
You're still joining in the fight"

Three panels with a red background in the panels and a black background for the page. In the first panel, a green-coloured arm comes out from the screen and into the panel, offering her hand to the Muslim woman who is surprised. In the second panel, the green-coloured woman is revealed to be a resistance fighter wearing the keffiyeh as she grabs the edge of the panel and etends her hand outside the panel. The third panel is a close-up shot of the Muslim woman grabbing the resistance fighter's arm.
"And soon the rest of us will join
We can stand together here
We can cut through the white noise
And make our message clear"

Above the page is black cracking into the red background. Below the text is the resistance fighter looking determined as she grips the hand of the Muslim woman, now also coloured green, who looks very glad to see her. Behind them is a shouting crowd protesting for Palestine. Some of them hold signs saying "CEASEFIRE NOW" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free".

Cut Through The Noise

Even as the strike ends, the Palestinian genocide has not.

Now more than ever, there are so many conflicting voices. People with their own self-serving, hateful motivations speak over us, and sometimes our own voices can turn against us. We may feel like our voice isn't enough or we aren't doing enough.

This is why it's so important to learn to shut down that noise. No matter how much people scream that what we're doing is useless or a waste of time, keep talking. Keep talking about Palestine. Keep talking about Palestine for as long as this goes on, both online and in real life. If Israel won't end their genocide, we won't end our protest.

Below is a list of what you can do and the poem transcript.

Check and spread this post which contains a comprehensive list on how to help Palestine.

Learn about the history of Palestine and how the displacement and eventual genocide of Palestinians started in 1948.

Learn more about Palestine, the myths surrounding it and the arguments debunking it.

Boycott companies who are either directly or indirectly supporting and finding Palestine's genocide.

Attend a protest.

Help Gazans stay connected by purchasing eSims for them.

Donate to the following organizations – any amount, no matter how small, goes a long way:

UNWRA

Care for Gaza

Medical Aid for Palestinians

Palestine Children's Relief Fund

Islamic Relief

Here's another post detailing more charities you can donate to

And most importantly of all: Don't Stop Talking About Palestine! However you interpret it as – creating art, talking to the people in your life, emailing and calling your representatives, even reblogging and making posts – make your voice loud and clear!

a big lesson for me was learning that most things are not as fragile as I’d believed. missing a class, or turning in a bad assignment, won’t instantly destroy your professor’s opinion of you. accidentally saying something harsh won’t make your friend want to end the friendship. it takes work to repair these things - it takes effort and research and sometimes a sincere apology - but you can do that because they’re not irreparably broken. what you’ve worked to build, in academia and in relationships and in life, is stronger and more enduring that your mind may teach you to believe. don’t let imagined fragility lead you to giving up

people always talk about leaving comments on ao3 like it's a nice thing to do, or the best way to encourage writers to keep writing, or overall like it's how you Do Your Part in fandom

and yeah, all those things are true, but having spent the past few months leaving enthusiastic comments on as many things as i can, i have a different perspective

you should leave comments on fics because it's fun

taking the time to stop and focus on what i like about a story has made me way more aware of what's going on in stories and what i like about them. there's bit more actual comprehension and appreciation and not just beaming content into my eyes to fill time

i like noticing cool little things in fics, or riffing on funny events. i've never been very good at speculating or picking apart characters, but sometimes something clicks and it rocks.

and of course it's pretty nice when you get a response and it's clear you've made another person happy

so yeah, you should leave comments for your own sake, too. it makes reading better!

A Palestinian woman is depicted hugging a heart with the colors of the Palestinian flag against a pink background. She has light skin and is wearing a white hijab and a magenta shirt. Her eyes are closed in peace, and she is smiling. Around her float multi-colored hearts and stars. On the side is a QR code of a link to her fundraiser. At the top is a white with the text "You Can Help Tala's Family!!"
At the top of the picture there is text that reads "Help Tala's Family Evacuate Gaza." The background is pink, and a photo of Tala is included. She is a light-skinned Palestinian woman wearing a white hijab and magenta shirt, and she is crossing her arms and wearing a determined smile. There are stars, wavy lines, and an olive branch surrounding the main text that reads:"Tala is a resilient third-year dentistry student from Gaza city with a heart full of compassion and dreams. She worked hard, pursuing her passion to heal and serve her community, until it was shattered by the horrors of genocide. After nearly ten months of genocide, Tala and her family have left behind their home, studies, and life, displaced and left with no access to basic necessities like electricity and water. Every day is a battle for survival, marked by hardship and uncertainty. Tala needs to raise $30,000 to reach a safe haven for her family and herself - with your help, Tala and her family can achieve their greatest wish of evacuating to safety to reclaim their dreams! https://gofund.me/f290a3fc"

Please help Tala and her family! They still have not reached their goal of $30,000 to evacuate from Gaza; they have currently raised $19,146/$30,000. Every donation counts so please don't become discouraged - every dollar counts no matter how little!!! With your help, we can help Tala and her family to reach safety!!

🌟 This campaign has been vetted - this fundraiser has been promoted by PYM Dallas and is supporting the family of a TX community member!!

Please donate and share widely!!!
