Usually, if we channel any spirit, it has to be requested, so we can't channel someone without a request. As far as a list of people we literally can't channel even if we summon them, they're spirits that are still alive, whose souls have moved to the Twilight Realm or... well...

spirits that don't want to be channeled. A spirit can refuse to be summoned if they don't want to.
