A DISTANT LOVERㅤ boyfriend! nagi seishiro x gn! reader — angst + fluff [ 2.0k+ wc ] cws none ! MDNI
ㅤnagi seishiro was a distant lover, or so he thought.
nagi seishiro was a distant lover.
not because of all the reasons people were always so quick to judge him for, though.
nagi loved you — and contrary to popular belief, his love for you was way stronger than his passion for videogames or soccer or anything else he deemed worthy of his time. you were his first love, one of the few people who saw him for who he truly was and accepted him for it. he knew you didn’t fully understand him, and he couldn’t judge you because he himself didn’t fully get why he was the way he was at times, but the fact that you didn’t leave him for all the things he did but couldn’t explain and instead incentivized him to push forward to try to learn the source of all of it made his heart flutter, that compassion something not many people had shown him so far. he loved you more than he could ever put into words, more than he could understand, more than life itself even — but he was still nagi, the weird kid who got a cactus only because a plant he had to water every so often was enough company for him, and the lonely kid who had spent most of his school years all alone being treated as a weirdo — reo’s arrival in his life the only thing that stopped him from spending all of them that way. he had grown, years had passed since then and if that period could be considered his life’s rock bottom, he was now undeniably at the peak of it, having an established career in the sport he took so much enjoyment from and a partner who loved him to the moon and back — but even with all that, even with all the highs he had accomplished and all the lows he had gotten over, he was still the old nagi in many ways, and what he for a while thought were stupid habits he would eventually get over as he grew and matured, were now things that impacted his life more than ever, and those thoughts hurt him, because he wished it didn’t have to be like that, wished he could be different.
nagi seishiro was a distant lover for many reasons, and as much as he tried, he couldn’t control any of them.
he had a hard time opening up to you about his feelings; nagi loved you, he knew that, and to some degree he was sure you did too, but he was also aware that you didn’t know just how deep his feelings actually ran, and that was entirely his fault. he remembered to tell you ‘i love you’ each time he departed from you in the morning or before drifting to sleep at night, but that wasn’t enough to show just how smitten he was with you because although he always remembered to repeat those three, powerful words, he lacked in what should come after. he was never able to explain why, was never able to look at you and tell you that you made him feel like the luckiest man alive and that he would give everything he had worked so hard for up and even burn the entire world down to ashes if that meant not losing you. he loved you more than he loved himself, loved you more than the sun loved the moon, loved you more than the flowers love the rain — loved you more than anything else in the word, more than words could even begin to describe. his feelings were indescribable because words had yet to be invented for them to be able to be correctly and fully expressed, but he should still be able to try to narrate them to you, and the fact that he couldn’t hurt him. they were overwhelming — in the best way possible, obviously — and nagi could never even chose the words to begin to at least explain that to you, tell you the he loved you but that his love was so great that he wasn’t able to even measure it himself, and because of that, he felt like he lacked, felt like you would never know how he truly felt and would just stick around because you felt bad for him.
unknowing to him though, you understood your boyfriend better than he assumed you were capable of. you didn’t know how deep his love for you ran within him, that part was true, but you knew he treasured and loved you more than anything in his life, and that was more than enough for you, the struggle to express feelings one you understood all too well too, even if nagi didn’t notice it.
beyond that, though, nagi seishiro was also a distant lover because he could never find enough time to be with you; or at least he thought so. for a good chunk of the year, nagi had a packed schedule, his job one that forced him to travel more than he would like and spend more time away from you than he could handle. he missed you all too much, the weeks he had to spend away from you always feeling endless and like a punishment, the pace in which they passed torturous due to how slow it was, and the day he would finally fly back home to you always seeming unreachable. he hated having to be away even if for just a day, hated leaving you alone, hated feeling far away from you, hated being physically distant from you. he hated every part of it, and because of it, at moments where he felt hopeless, he hated his job, wished he could leave it and start doing something else that would allow him to be close to you every day — the only reason he hadn’t done so yet being your insistence on him continuing to pursue it because it would be a waste of all his hard work if he just gave up like that. still, that wasn’t enough to satiate his longing, to make him miss you any less, to make him stop despising his career path. the facetime calls, the texts, even the times you would sometimes travel to meet him — none of that was enough to him because he still felt like he was failing you, making you feel alone, and it was all his fault.
you didn’t see things that way, however, and if you knew nagi did, you would remember to tell him that you didn’t view him like some monster for having a life apart from you and your relationship more often. you missed him, missed him more than you could describe and about that you would never lie, but you also found happiness in seeing your boyfriend go after his dreams, found happiness in seeing him run so freely throughout the big, green field and found happiness in celebrating all his goals and victories with him. you hated that you had to be apart from him for weeks at a time, but the glee and anticipation you felt whenever you met again after that time separated overshadowed it, made it feel worth it, even. him having goals and aspirations only made you love him more, not hate him in any way.
and to finalize it all, nagi seishiro was a distant lover because he wasn’t as affectionate as he should; he wasn’t a touchy person, he enjoyed his personal space and didn’t crave physical touch that often. he still kissed your forehead whenever he came home from practice at night, still cuddled you every time you drifted off to sleep next to each other, and still held your hand when you were out and about together — but somehow, to nagi, that never felt like enough. he should do more, he thought, should touch you more, should kiss you more, should hold you more, should do everything more, but he just couldn’t, and he hated himself for it. other people made it seem so effortless, physical touch something expected from a relationship, something that came naturally along with it, but he couldn’t seem to give you enough of it, always feeling like he lacked in that department like he lacked in so many others. he wondered how others did it, wondered why you didn’t complain about it, wondered why you were settling for less than you could get, and all those thoughts killed him because they made him feel worthless, another reason for him to feel like he wasn’t enough, wasn’t good enough for you. he tried his best, tried to reach out for you more frequently and tried to initiate those displays of affection as often as he could — but sometimes he was unable to do so, sometimes he just wanted to be alone in his own bubble with you sitting a few inches away from him on your own world too, and that made him feel guilty, because what sort of boyfriend thinks of that as good alone time with their partner?
nagi does, and you were alright with it, because any second you could spend with him was time well spent. you enjoyed your nightly cuddle sessions, enjoyed holding his hand when you were out together, and enjoyed each kiss he pressed against your skin when he came home at night more than anything else. you always knew he wasn’t a touchy person, knew he enjoyed keeping his distance from the moment you met him, and that never stopped you from loving him or made you love him any less — if anything, it only made your heart beat faster anytime he leaned towards you because you knew he wasn’t doing it subconsciously, that he was doing it purposefully because he wanted to show you that he loved you, his thought out effort into showing his affection more meaningful than if he did it without thinking twice, you thought.
nagi seishiro was a distant lover for many reasons, and he thought about them so often that he could say them out loud from the top of his head as if they were part of a script he had spent years studying and memorizing — but that was exactly the problem, they were all inside his head, all things he had thought about and assumed you disliked him for so, when with a broken voice and heavy tears cascading down his face he opened up to you about all those demons, about all those thoughts that kept him up at night, about all his weaknesses, you hugged him close, hugged him hard and stronger than you ever held, allowing your boyfriend to open up to you while sniffling and sobbing against your neck as you kissed the top of his head, giving him space to talk at his own pace, letting him get everything off his chest that had been burdening him. you listened and tried to understand, secretly happy that he trusted you enough to confess such things, and by the end of it, when his crying had calmed down and he wasn’t holding you as tightly, already waiting for you to break up with him, you smiled faintly, and you hugged him tighter, and you kissed him one last time before you moved to cup his cheeks instead, making him face you so you could look straight into his eyes as you told him just how much you loved him, and just how much none of those things mattered to you, how you didn’t see him in any way that resembled what he had just described. you didn’t invalidate his feelings like nagi was scared you would, on the contrary, you actually made him feel seen, understood, and above all, loved for who he was in a manner that he had never felt before. you didn’t hate him for all the traits of his persona he thought of as flaws, instead, you loved him for them, and as stupid as that could be, nagi had never thought of that as being a possibility.
nagi seishiro was anything but a distant lover, you two concluded at the end — he was caring, committed, loving in his own way and more than willing to put effort into your relationship, and at the end of the day, that was what actually mattered.

hi :)
Imagine waking up to Shiina Niki cooking. As your senses return to your body, the aroma of breakfast fills the room, effectively enticing you to remove the covers. You rub your eyes before taking a stretch, already thinking about what you may find in the kitchen. As you're about to remove the covers to get up, you find that the door opens and Niki comes in, holding a tray of waffles in his hands and a smile on his face. "Good morning!"

Everyone around her age achieved so much, only she couldn’t or didn’t have anything to accomplish. The only thing she was capable of was smiling, entertain the elders of her family and coat her words with sweet nothing. (Name) could only watch her siblings reach higher than her, achieving outstanding results whilst (Name) sat by the chair confiding in the gossip of the elders.
And only of that, she’s considered—dumb. After all, what’s the point in being smart and a high achiever if in the end, she’d only stand behind the kitchen counter and serve her husband?—her elders spoke the same to her ears everywhere she went.
That alone wasn’t enough.
——
Walking into the apartment, the girl’s mask tore off—she inhaled sharply, feeling like sharp arrows aimed at her chest whenever she exhaled. She placed away her shoes then walked straight to her bedroom, finding the mess of her bed covered in dirty laundries she hadn’t done.
Though work was still stacking on the other side of her room, the computer calling her to work for another hour, she was left in dilemma whether or not she should choose to finish the undone chores or the work stacking on her desk.
Today was stressful, wasn't it?
The second she placed her bag, a ding from her phone echoed in her ears. (Name) searched through her bag full of documents she planned to get done tonight, her hands scurried through to find the device.
As she finally had her phone, the stoic e/c eyes paid no mind towards the name and just placed the item next to her head. A raspy dried voice that hadn’t drunk anything, spoke, “(Name) speaking. Who’s this?”
“Take a guess,” a familiar voice said, a smile audible to her ears playing along with the words. The h/c haired girl took a second to look at her phone, then back to continue her call.
To be honest, she didn’t need to look at the caller, just his voice alone was enough for her to guess who it may be. Her cheeks itched to be lifted up, to add just a tiny bit to her e/c irises, and so she obeyed her body’s will and came to smile even if the caller couldn’t possibly paint her face.
“Hey, Rinne.”
“Hm, your voice becomes softer than before! Kyahahaha, did you miss me?”
Ah, there he went, his signature laugh. Albeit having her pissed, it relieved her to know by his laugh—the tensed body soothed out on its own with a gentle smile to caress her face. “And if I tell you I don’t?”
“Too bad I won’t believe you,” Rinne spoke, from the other side of the phone, causing her to let out a tender chuckle, finally one after the whole day spending her time contemplating on things she never needed to.
“Hey, (Name). How was your day?”
How was her day?
She spent a few hours trying to hold back cursing at her elders, smiling and sat on the chair humbly whilst the elders boasted of their descendants’ achievements. Everyone always spoke as if (Name) wouldn’t understand, when in fact she heard everything but could only smile and nodded.
To think that the word, “it’s great” no longer felt like deceiving someone else just for their sake was the best choice—added with the exhaustion to even keep herself composed as she tried to prove her words—(Name) couldn’t bring herself to do it.
“It… wasn’t the best. It’s okay though, don’t worry. How about yours?” She quickly switched. “Not bad actually. Just feeling like I’m missing something.”
“What that might be? Your gambling habit?”
“Nah, that’s not it. After all, I have her with me right now.”
An exhausted yet hearty laugh broke out of her lips, a bit louder than she intended but to the others, the laugh was just a whisper from a child not being able to speak for the whole day. “So that’s why you came and called me?”
“Hahahahah! Aren’t you supposed to be glad you have me? Anyways, let’s hear from you. What’s up today?”
“What do you mean, what’s up?”
Rinne let out a laugh, just short—nothing exaggerated, “You said your day wasn’t the best. What happened?”
(Name)’s e/c irises gazed down to the floor, her back slid to the ground as she ran her hand through her hair. An attempt to smile tried to paint her face, only for her to feel the heaviness weighing her down. “I’m an idiot,” she stated, though she was sure it was as if the wind entered in her room and brought her remaining courage to speak, away.
“What?”
“I’m an idiot,” she spoke again, hoping it was audible enough to the other side whilst she was there—playing the hem of her clothes, trying to keep herself distracted from the heaviness weighing her chest.
The warm sensation swarming her eyes fought its war. “Every time I look around me, people are smiling at me but they always treat me like I’m a fool. It’s not about my day. I don’t think you would want to hear it.”
She expected nothing out of him, she didn’t expect for him to laugh, shake it off, nor gave her comfort—a daughter and a woman like her wouldn’t need any of that. If she was indeed useless as how people said her to be, then what’s the point in comforting her?
Instead, the least expected for the words she hated to hear: “Hahaha! Yeah, so?”
That.
Couldn't that be the reason she considered hanging up the phone call right?
So? What did he mean, so?
“…” her voice lost its words—she was far too exhausted to think about it. “I’m… busy and tired—“ (Name) stopped her trails of words, slowly realizing the venom stirring her words unconsciously, though she didn’t mean to.
“(Name)? What I was trying to say was—for what must you think about those? It’s not like they mean a thing to you—“
“What do you know anyway what means to me and what doesn’t?”
As soon as she said those words, silence filled them in. None dared to speak—though words were swirling in her head, begging her to let it out, she couldn’t bring herself to utter another. The heaviness of her phone weighed itself more.
She was expected of a daughter, if could not be the one everyone desired her to be, the least she could do was to smile and sit down. He was much of a contrast to her—the striking ocean eyes would always glaze themselves on the world without having to look down, his chest raised up like his dignity where no one could step on him, his words always match with his ways that she would believe every word he spoke.
He was born that way—a perfect human being.
“(Name), I didn’t mean it like tha—“
“I have to go now. My superior is calling me.” And just like that, she turned off her phone and threw it to her bed, leaving her frame alone in the corner of her room, to leave her mull over the words she said.
Ah, even in the brink of heat, she couldn’t be any more smart.
———
An hour had passed, she gazed at the analog next to her hands as she scrolled on her computer. The sound of keyboards clicking was enough to be audible, the weight on her shoulder increased more as time passed by.
“Eleven o’clock,” her lips drew out, unconsciously breathing out.
Ding!
Her phone rang. Wanted or not her attention turned over to the phone showing the caller’s name written clear on the screen. A sigh ran through her lips again, the desire to hang up and go back to her work was as strong as the urge to pick up.
However, the words still left her annoyed. Maybe it was actually her fault, that she should’ve apologized first, and that he didn’t actually mean a thing and she was the one who just took things too seriously—
“Hey. Why are you calling this late, Rinne?”
“Come out. I’m waiting at the playground in your apartment. And no buts.”
Waiting for her outside? She turned to look at the window, seeing the sky painted itself with a deep void of black adorned with the least amount of stars. As she reached for the window, a fog formed by the slightest touch.
(Name) checked on her phone, seeing the temperature outside. “It’s late. Go home or you’ll catch a cold.”
“Well I guess you have to come for me to go home. Be quick, it’s hella freezing outside.”
“Wha—hey!”
The dial tone echoed in her ears instead of his further affirmation voice, signaling he’d ended the call and left her with no choice but to obey his command. Had he lost his mind?
***
Walking down the cold playground, a fog formed whenever she let out a sigh upon casting her eyes onto the waiting red haired male. Heaviness lingered her heart either way, not knowing nor caring what brought him here to her. What did he want to say?
An extra jacket on her hand lingered there, stopping her from leaving and returning to her room. She knew he would come, with nothing to keep him warm other than his casual clothing—it had become a habit to bring in a jacket for his every visit.
The red haired man peeked from the side of his eyes, having the moonlight bathe his own ocean ones. “Hey, so you’re finally here! I thought you wouldn’t come downstairs for a sec there,” he exclaimed, ending it with a laughter.
(Name), however, only walked closer to him and threw the jacket. “You’ll catch a cold. Stop running here without anything to keep you warm at night,” she scolded, only to earn a grin from him as he replied, “Cause I know you’ll keep me warm.”
Unfazed, she let out a sigh for another time whilst making her way towards the smiling Rinne. “Why did you call me here? It’s late and I have to sleep early.”
“I just want to see you, can’t I do that?” He asked, sounding more to be a demand as if what the world has is what he’s owed with. The usual mischief adorned the same eyes that tonight, (Name) couldn’t bear to admire.
She pursed her lips, refused to say another word. “I’m… sorry,” he spoke out of the blue, attaining her attention. For instance, no one had ever apologized to her for the words and things they did, since she “wasn’t” capable of understanding the ways of their actions.
The girl could only stay silent. “What I’m trying to say is that you shouldn’t mind their words and start learning how to be yourself. If anything, they’re dumb since they don’t get you at all. They’re too ‘normal’ to the point that seeing something new and fresh tears them down.”
Ah, she wondered what had she done to deserve this.
Seeing the silence from her, no words uttered out from her lips, Rinne could only sigh. He raised his hand, a little bit reluctant, but still did—gently, hoping it might convey the things he wished to say, and brought her to him.
That alone brought her to surprise, but she couldn’t dare to go against his will. And just like that, she could only bask in deeper for his warmth during the cold night—enough to resemble the coldness that was borne by the daughter herself. “You don’t have to change to meet their standards. Let the elders be as they’d always been, they’ll never change so just focus on yourself.”
Ah, how much she yearned to hear those.
A stupidity was never a stupidity. It was just a way of a human living that others deemed to be not normal to their understanding.
“You’re awesome as you are, so don’t let those words eat you.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The summer heat slides in through every nook and creek making its way to your body, not even the summer uniform can help with this kind of day. You fan your shirt as the bell rings to signal for lunch break to commence. You and your friends sit together in the classroom, not bothering to find a seat outside. You all take turns to speak about various subjects like boys, girls, classes and home life.
“Can you believe it? We are already seniors” One of your friends says, making you nearly choke at the thought of it. Realization finally hits that next year you will start college and will have to get your life straight.
“(L/N) you okay?” They each ask as they see you stand up from your seat, lunch unfinished.
“Yeah, I just need a breather” you laugh nervously “keep on without me, I will be back.” You check the change in your pocket and decide to head for the vending machines for a nice refreshing drink. As soon as you pass the door to the outside you immediately regret your decision, pondering if a small cola could help with this blazing heat. As you decide on what to choose you remember that the football field is just right next to you. Your anxiety has been better taking into account that you didn't break into a fit of uneven breathing nearly needing to get taken to the hospital. You shake your head as you leave those thoughts of old days behind you and focus on getting your much deserved drink
“Bam!” A piercing sound jolts you awake as you look for the source of the sound. Someone was out on the football field, you don’t even need to guess who it might be. Tabito Karasu, the ace of your highschool, a football fanatic, is the kind of guy who will practice in the middle of his lunch break on the hottest day of summer. You have never spoken to him, too afraid to come across his fan club that he obviously has even though Karasu himself isn't really keen on it.
But you have been to his football games, they are always a fun meet up space for your friends and you to look at the boys and do some light hearted talking. None in your group, including you, know a thing about the sport, like rules and other things but it’s always fun to just cheer for your school and see the other school lose sometimes even five to zero. You come back to the present to see Karasu practicing his shots. A gush of cold wind bursts through your warm face as the player does a beautiful kick and you widen your eyes.
“Amazing…” You whisper barely audible to even yourself but it seems you accidentally said it quite loud, Karasu clearly notices it as he turns to you and winks, wiping the sweat off his forehead. You frown as heat takes over your cheeks, you hide on the side of the vending machine, hoping he didn't see, hear or winked at you. You hear him laugh and say something you can’t really comprehend as you grab your drink and start to crawl back to your class, too shy to show your face to him.
“(L/N)?” Two legs come to your view and you look up to see your friend looking a little distressed at you.
“Hey…” you show her a nervous smile.
“Seriously!” Your friend smacks her leg while laughing hysterically after hearing what just happened to you. She actually came down to the machines also wanting a drink and came across you crawling on the first floor and scaring the first years.
“It’s not that funny! I’m such an idiot!” you bury your hands in your face, now fully aware of your ridiculous reaction.
“God, I wish I was there to see it! Someone should've caught it on camera!” She continues laughing, grabbing her stomach this time since it started to hurt. To that you only whine wanting to crawl underneath a rock.
“Do you like him?” She finally calms down as she wipes a tear from her eye.
“No, I was just caught off guard” you say, not even needing to think about it, you know clearly that you do not have romantic feelings for Karasu. Your friend looks at you as she raises a brow and you smack her shoulder as you return to class when the bell rings.
When the final bell of the day rings you tell your friends to go on without you, giving the excuse that you forgot your pencil case. You carefully walk to the football field, making sure the team has already left and there is no one in sight. You look around as you start thinking this was a really stupid idea, you don’t even like football. However, just as you were thinking that, you spot a ball in the field and feel magnetized to it. You leave your bag on the benches as you slowly walk towards the object in a curiosity you never knew you had. You turn the ball a bit with your feet before taking it to the air.
“One, two, three, fo…”you whisper as you manage to hit the ball in the air three times but by the fourth it escapes your feet. You sigh, you could never get past three touches.
“So you're the cutie who was watching me during lunch” you hear a voice behind you causing you to nearly jump from fright. Karasu is right behind you, the question in your mind is how did you not notice his presence? “You have to move your other leg, you know that right?” You look down at your legs when you hear him say that, partly to hide the embarrassment from earlier in the day and that someone saw you try to do some football kicks.
“Let me” he takes the football from your feet and starts kicking it from one foot to the other and finishes with a ‘around the world’. You clap your hands amazed at his skills.
“That was really cool” you confess to him and he quirks a brow to you with a puzzled look.
“That was impressive to you?” You nod enthusiastically and he closes his eyes as if thinking for a while on what to say “go to the goal zone, stand where you want to” you do as he says, curious as to what he has up his sleeve.
“Here?” You ask him as you station yourself closer to the pole on the left than the one on the right.
“Yeah, however you want to, now where do you want me to score?” He asks as he takes the ball and dribbles a little to gain more distance from the goal.
“Here” you stretch one arm to touch the left pole and point to the area between your left arm and the floor, curious to see if he will actually fulfill your request. Karasu puts the ball on his desired spot before backing away a little. You were pretty calm but only when you saw Karasu run up to the ball do you immediately regret listening to him, you could end up really hurt if the sounds you heard before were anything to go by.
"Wait-!" You try stopping him but before your plea can reach Karasu's ears, the ball was shot to where you exactly pointed at. It actually takes you a full minute before moving your body. You blink slowly as you see the ball against the net behind you and turn to face Karasu who is approaching you with a cocky smile. You begin to clap yet again being left speechless entirely. This man's talent is something else and you can only watch from far away in awe.
"How was that?" He cranes his neck into a proud stand but you cannot reply, you are too blown away so you merely smile with a hint of happiness. Karasu seems to be a little confused, perhaps expecting a shower of compliments and praises. Which you do after gaining courage and the ability to do so.
"I have no words...that was..." you gesture with your hands vaguely as you start walking back to the benches to grab your bag and Karasu follows after you shortly.
"Amazing? Impressive? Jaw dropping?" He asks as he raises his head and you only nod extremely fast to all of the words he's saying as he releases a chuckle.
"Are you heading for the train station?" You ask shyly when you pass the school gates.
"Yeah, I need to go to the store before if you don't mind" to which you have no problem with, no offense to your friends, but sometimes hanging out with different people is good for you and you have missed out on getting to know someone. Laughing at Karasu's classmates' shenanigans and hearing him laugh as he calls you boring for your interests makes you feel some sort of way, even if it's unbridled rage, it's something you didn't know you needed. With the sun completely set, comes the night time as the street lamps light up and the stores turn on their luminous decoration to attract customers.
"Right here, wait for a bit" he stops you as he jumps on top of the elevated ground the store is on and you lean on a lamp pole with your bag in your hands as you wait for your new acquired friend. When you hear the buzzing of the door opening you look back and see Karasu with two popsicles in his hands.
"Which one, I didn't know what flavor you wanted" he gives you a cheeky grin as he shows you the options.
"Then, the strawberry one, please" you reach out for the ice cream and he hands it to you.
"Great, I like lemon better", he smiles as you both open the packages and hum in delight of the refreshing flavor to your warm bodies. The night air cooling you after a long day of school is exactly what you needed. Passing by the street vendors, you comment if you should buy something for him to pay him back for the ice cream.
“Next time, let’s go on a date and you will pay me back~” he grins showing you his teeth and you have to look away so as to not let your mind get clogged by such a sweet image.
“Then, how about an arcade?” you ask shyly, too afraid of rejection but not wanting to get this chance to go by.
“Sweet, I wanted to try a new game that came out” he agrees and you sigh in relief not sure if you could actually handle being rejected by one of the prettiest guys in school. You walk a little more before finally arriving at the station, popsicle sticks long discarded as the train arrives exactly on time. You sit on the bench a little tired from the day as Karasu sits next to you closing his eyes. You have been talking the entire time here and now that you both are finally quiet instead of being awkward it actually feels nice and comforting.
"One final question" he finally speaks up and you hum to acknowledge him "will you cheer me on for my next game?"
"Of course I will" you hide your face from him but you know he's grinning like a fool and you just have to close your eyes, hoping that image of him will fade away from your mind.
"Then," he gets up as the train starts to slow down, this must be his stop, even though you are a tad disappointed, you just knew he wouldn't be with you until forever "I'll see you then, cutie~."
"Bye" you wave at him, holding your laughter in as to what he just said, the next time you were with him you should definitely correct him so as to not call you such an absurd nickname. But barely did you know that Karasu had actually been scouted for a new football project and that his next game would change the course of sports’ history forever.
