“Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey”, he continues to pester you for the last couple of hours. At this point, you’re ready to rip this demon’s head off. You finally turned your gaze at him with the most annoyed hatred filled eyes, “WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!”. After that outburst, his mouth completely shut to shift to a smirk, “You’ve finally spoken at last, Pretty?”. You were really questioning whether you can change your duty with some other guardian cause guarding him was unbearable.

He’s an immortal demon chained to the tree of life that is then guarded by you to ensure he stays there. Although he is thousands of years old like you, his maturity is one of a child. He could blabber on continuously with any sort of questionable or annoying topics even when you try to block him out. Safe to say he’s not going anywhere but you might be for your ears to have some peace.

“Well yeah because your wouldn’t shut the fuck up!”, you spoke through gritted teeth. Ryusei just lets out a happy chuckle which he’s hadn’t had for a while. “Damn, how are you so cute even when you’re mad?”, his chuckle continued.

“I can rip your head off at any moment you know?”, you threatened but that didn’t do much. “In case you forgot Gorgeous but I am an immortal being. Even if you rip my head off, which you can greatly do, I’ll just grow another like it never happened”, you never wanted to set the tree ablaze until now. “Ughhh well then can you just keep quiet, it’s unbearable to hear you talk nonstop”.

He lets out a slight snicker, “Awww is my Dove getting sick of my love?”. Instinctively, you pulled your knife from your garter to then stab it next to the area where his head was. “Did you not hear me? I said keep quiet”, instead of expecting any sort of anger or anxiety, you got the total opposite. What you got instead was a lustful moan from the demon chained in front of you. “My god, when you say it like that I can’t shut up even more!”, he spoke so enthusiastically that you wanted to vomit.

“What is wrong with you?!”, you backed off immediately to put your knife back where it was originally. “A lot of things about me are wrong. Just like I am not supposed to fall in love with my guard”, that was so brief yet you were left dumbfounded. Your face changed into a deep red that he found very amusing. “Did my words make you blush? How cute? I wonder what other facial expressions you can make with that face?”, he licked his lips.

“Another word out of you and I will slap you”, once again not the reaction you were hoping for. “Please do, I definitely wouldn’t like it if you punch me”, his sarcasm was far too noticeable.

“That’s it, I need to go back to see, Boss. I can’t stand another day with you!”, you marched away to open a portal. You turned back to look at him to see him grinning happily. “I’ll see you later too, Babe!”.

Blatantly asking for a kiss is much too flustering for him, and he doesn’t want to overstep by going in for himself — so this is how he settles, and he finds that it amuses you immensely.

⤷ The kisses that Keito gives you are gentle and endearing, his lips carefully placed over your own, holding you against him and expressing all of his feelings for you in one soft, sweet, simple gesture. His kisses are plentiful and full of life, and when his lips are on yours, you feel like you could conquer anything.

You frowned. Rei had been somewhat lecturing you for the past half hour. You sat on the edge of the bathroom counter, watching as the vampire slowly wrapped a clean white bandage around your scraped arm.

“I know…” You sighed, looking away from him. “I’m sorry.”

You couldn’t help but huff. About an hour ago, you had taken a nasty fall onto solid concrete after collapsing due to exhaustion. Work was work—and unfortunately, there wasn’t much you could do to escape it. Maybe you’d try to get some more sleep, or maybe you’d force yourself to drink more water. If not for your sake, then for Rei’s.

Your boyfriend cupped your cheek as he stood between your legs, gently kissing your forehead. “Don’t apologize, beloved. Just be more mindful next time, yes?” He whispered against your skin, pecking you once again before pulling away to bandage your other arm.

It was unbelievable how utterly kind and loving he was. Rei had warned you numerous times about the consequences of overworking yourself, and when you hadn’t listened and ultimately collapsed, he still stood here, bandaging you up. “I will. I promise.”

Rei smiled warmly. “I know you will.”

He wrapped your arm with the bandages so expertly, covering your wounds with the white fabric tightly enough to stay on, but not tightly enough to hurt you. You didn’t understand how you got so lucky—having a boyfriend who would always drop everything to help you. You almost felt guilty.

Rei must’ve read your thoughts, taking your hands in his softly once he finished dressing your arms.

“I’ll always be here for you to fall back on, alright? You needn’t worry. I only want you to be safer, my dear.” He smiled, bringing your uncovered hands to his lips, kissing them tenderly. “I love you very much.”

“I love you more, Rei. I’m grateful to have you.” You answered, the man continuing to kiss around your palms, knuckles, and fingers. He let out a breathy chuckle, leaning into you, his face dangerously close to yours.

“I love you most.” He said, simply. “You do so much for me, so let me take care of you once in awhile, sweetheart.”

The ravonette fully leaned in and kissed you, his lips molding to fit against your perfectly, his hands never leaving yours. You felt him smile against your lips.

naturally, he got up to follow after you and find out what had you at your wits end. hopefully nothing a little magic trick couldn't fix.

when you agreed to tell him he made you both a cup of hot chocolate (or tea, whichever you prefer) and sat you down in the living room, ready to listen to whatever troubles could have possibly dimmed your shine.

you told him about your day and how shitty it was and mans was flabbergasted

what do you mean your boss mistreats you??? he couldn't believe what you were saying. this random dude with a company was being sexist towards his s/o? by what right??

"now now, kitten. if it was so, you should've told me sooner. this is nothing the mighty sakasaki natsume can't possibly fix with a little di-"

izumi already knew how bad your work space was from when he visited you one time, he never told you to quit because of how happy you seemed when talking about your coworker and how you were happy your paycheck was big enough to help him with paying the bills so it didn't feel like you were using him for his riches.

which, by the way, nobody thought in the first place. izumi wouldn't mind paying everything himself, he would never use that against you. he had tons of cash he didn't even know what to do with, it would honestly be the least he can do.

anyway, he figured one day you'd also realize you need a better job, and he's prepared for when that day comes. when today you weren't replying to his messages, he thought maybe the day has finally come. oh how right he was. he just wishes it didn't involve you having a mental breakdown.

"it's alright dear. come, let's sit down and talk about it, alright? please don't cry."

with each word that came out of your mouth his anger increased. he knew it was bad, he just didn't think it was to this extent.

"hm. your boss and coworkers need someone to talk some sense into them. what? oh, quit looking at me like that. i won't do it myself of course, i have a reputation to uphold. doesn't know i don't know people who will do it for me. now you're glaring at me, but if you had listened to me and applied for that other job i told you about, this could've been avoided. ow! i'm just saying!"

if glaring fails, simply elbow him. always works. he may sound condescending or whatever but i promise he means well. he just wants you to be happy.

he sighed, "i said i can't offer you a job since we just got a new manager- leo's girlfriend or whatever- but arashi mentioned she needs a manager or something like that. the other agency i told you about have no offers anymore, but since it's arashi i'm sure she'd hire you in a heartbeat. if you want, that is."

he's a little hard around the edges but he loves you more than anyone, and you can bet on that.
