Idk who needs to hear this today, but, as you battle with your depression, remember that it is important to not give up hope. Though the nights are cold and wet, and the woods seem darker and darker, you must never give up hope. If you loose all hope and give into dispare, the Beast will turn you into an Edelwood tree then grind the wood to gain oil for his lantern. Beware the Beast! He mustn't be allowed to go on!

Very fond of the amount of stuff in OTGW that just isn't elaborated on at all. The most obvious example is of course, Jason Funderberker singing, but also the inexplicable bowties the creepy squirrels are wearing in the first episode, the size of Pottsfield turkeys, Auntie Whispers isn't Lorna's real aunt, both Enoch and QotC as a whole, the turtles, the catfish in endicott's fountain, the Beast's lantern in Pottsfield to name less than a handful. There are definitely fictional worlds that leave a lot more up to interpretation, but OTGW truly nails a dreamlike quality in a way no other can compare to.
