Ailing Day

Touya and Hawks enduring an ailing day.

I haven't written anything yet for the scene in the pic, but if you're new to the Ambush Sim AU, it's a My Hero alternate universe where Touya returned home after the coma, but not much else changed. He's still suffering the mental and physical fallout of the fire and he's doing it without the support of either of his parents.

One of the things he deals with, though, are what he calls the 'ailing days.'

He couldn’t remember when he started calling them ‘ailing days,’ the days where he couldn’t pretend his body wasn’t slowly killing him.  He’d woken up that morning grateful it hadn’t been his turn to make breakfast because the pain in his stomach and joints had consigned him to a moaning, fetal position on his bedding.  It even hurt to breathe on those days when his nerves decided to come alive and feel something after all, and they registered agony.  His ribs slid painfully beneath his skin and made the seams pull and burn. 

I am SO SERIOUS about how people use "dabi" and "hawks" or "touya" and "keigo".

Dabi is a monster that didn't want to be born. Dabi is obssessive because he forgot how to trust. Touya was just a child that wanted to be seen.

Hawks is a creation that fears to live. Hawks is optimistic because it's the only thing he has left. Keigo was just a child that wanted to help.

Keigo could've done so much for Touya but Hawks will never be able to help Dabi.

I hate them.
