if dean said "i want you" cas would have heard "like an object." if dean said "i love you" cas would have heard "like a brother." so dean says "i need you" and he means "i need you like i need air." and we know this because dean has been trained to never need anything from anyone. he isn't supposed to need anyone. but cas does not know this and instead he hears "i need you like i need a gun."

So we all know by now that Dean canonically makes Cas watch cowboy movies with him.

Now consider that because Dean is so out of touch with pop culture and stuff that one day they’re looking for a new movie together and they see Brokeback Mountain and Dean is like “oh yeah didn’t Claire compare our Halloween costumes last year to that movie? Maybe we should watch it”

So they watch it and they both just sort of like stiffen up in their chairs and death stare the tv. And then when the movies over they just sit in silence not looking at each other for like twenty minutes before they both get up to leave at the same time and bump into each other and they do that weird little fancy thing you do when you run into someone and then they each retreat into their rooms and don’t talk or make eye contact for the next three days

what gets me the most about supernatural is the way dean gets progressively more and more relaxed when castiel is in his space. yes, That personal space. and by like season 12 dean is putting his hand on cas in passing, he's cramming into his side in a sitting booth, he's grabbing his arms. he doesn't turn his head when cas walks behind him. because cas is safe

I’m watching Splash (1984) which is a romcom about a guy who falls in love with a mermaid, and when she chooses a human name she chooses Madison and guy says “that’s not a real name, but alright” which seems to imply that Madison was not a name until at least the 80’s and all girls named Madison are actually named after the mermaid. thought you should know

That man worked for it! He sat down on that bed so gaily that they had to call the execs about it and he still didn't budge! He decided to make Cas' voice extra low so he wouldn't hurt Dean's ears. He acted like a jilted lover when Cas became human. And when everyone was calling the fans delusional, he came thru with "you are not crazy" tweet because he knew, he'd been doing it on purpose.
