godd imagine being jude duarte and ur husband just told u he loves u and then he runs away before u could say it back and then later he turns into a giant black snake and then u find out out u would have to kill the snake who is also ur husband like
is this anything
frank: let me get this straight. thalia and jason’s domain is the sky, percy’s domain is water, and hazel and nico’s domain is basically the underground?
annabeth: yes
frank: but… can’t percy also create storms? that have clouds and lightning and thunder?
annabeth: yes
frank: and… and can’t percy also create earthquakes and make volcanoes erupt?
annabeth: yes
frank: so… in a way, doesn’t that mean everywhere is percy’s domain?
annabeth: yes.
annabeth: but don’t tell him. he hasn’t had that realization yet
Oh, yk what else they have in common? So much suffering and them not ending up together:')
I was today years old when I realized Percico has the exact same age gap as Romeo and Juliet.
It means absolutely nothing, but it's neat to think about.
the absolute audacity of these kids in this episode alone is insane like annabeth just casually pickpocketing hermes, the god of thieves, and percy immediately rear ending said god’s fucking car into multiple concrete walls oh my god i love these terrors
and then grover was just happy to be there
I remember going "EEEEE" while reading that😭😭
I am on my millionth reread of TCP and I noticed something!
You remember our beloved scene when Cardan tells her "Did I tell you how hideous you look tonight?" and then "I cannot"? Jude was completely out of it before. She was literally close to a panic attack and Cardan is one hell of an observant motherfucker. This was his way of snapping her out of it, probably even trying to cheer her up. He already knew he couldn't say it, and even Jude noticed his soft tone making it sound like a compliment. Because it was meant to be one, and it worked because it snapped Jude right back into the moment, even if only because it annoyed her. But of course it did, because as usual, Jude presumed he is messing with her.
I don't know how I missed this before, but it makes me feel so soft 🥺🥺🥺 The way he started to look out for her in these subtle ways. I am so weak for them.
there’s something strangely gutwrenching about the solstice having already passed. there have been minor changes in the “side adventures” of the trio.
they know they’re entering medusa’s house. they go to the arch for sanctuary against echidna and chimera. they go to waterland to help ares and convince hephaestus to stop being like his family. they go to the lotus hotel to get help from hermes.
in the books they’re getting tricked and distracted and losing all of that time on their quest was an accident. but they still made it in the end.
but in the show? they did everything right. they were aware of where they were at all times. but then they go and ask for help.
they try to ask for athena’s help and she lets monsters into her temple because they “embarrassed her.” they try to ask for hermes’ help but he doesn’t tell them until it’s too late that the lotus hotel messes with time.
they basically did everything right on their quest only for their biggest failures to occur because of the gods.
but poseidon gives him four pearls. four, instead of three. one for sally too. but we already know that she gets left behind.
they tried so hard only for the deadline to lapse.
When we finally make it to confirmed romantic Percabeth and Athena pulls the “I don’t approve of your relationship with my daughter” bs card, we’re going to watch Percy’s war flashbacks in real time a split second before he says the equivalent of “DISRESPECTFULLY, choke” as he proceeds to turn down godhood and launch himself into hell.
It didn’t hit as hard in the books but the tv adaption of the Echidna sequence? Athena punishing Medusa because of Poseidon and then punishing Annabeth because she can’t punish Percy? Percy “Annabeth would push me down a flight of stairs” Jackson uno-reversing and pushing her into the arch stairwell because he knows what sort of bullshit is it is to be punished for something you didn’t do by a [step]parent who’s made you desperate for their approval? We haven’t even made it out of book one and Percy has already shown Olympus just how much he does not care about them, but especially when it comes to the safety of his friends.
I love that the beginning of ep 4 shows that Sally is not perfect. She’s done being patient she’s scared she’s trying to prepare her son for something terrifying that she can’t tell him about and she looses it a bit. But Percy’s reaction shows how much love and trust there is between them because a child that young doesn’t know to calm someone in this way unless he’s been shown it, his first instinct is empathy and love, and I just absolutely adore Sally for not being some Holy Mary Mother of Christ who can Do No Wrong but just a young woman who loves her son so much and so deeply it’s insane.
Percy "I am SALLY JACKSON'S son" Jackson
percy "i am impertinent" jackson
