I desperately need Ilion The Musical to become a thing (when Jorge feels like it) so I can get more songs like Survive where Odysseus and Achilles are singing and shouting orders and we hear the Acheans and Myrmidons(?) all shouting like RAH RAH RAH! And it’ll be really cool and epic.
Sometimes I just need songs interjected with soldiers shouting.
Everytime I go back home to my cat I feel like Odysseus returning home from war.
I have like…0 expertise in music, but I WILL find a way to make a motif for Achilles just for me. Just because I want to. For my little hypothetical Ilion the musical.
Achilles’ instrumental motif would have to be something that can be played slowly for elegance, but also rapidly and can be distorted to truly encapsulate his rage. Something similar to how Odysseus’ motif and instrument (guitar) can be sped up, slowed down, and distorted to show his caring, wits, and ruthlessness.
Achilles is a great warrior, but also a musician. We see him drag Hector’s body around Troy, but we also see him gracefully playing his lyre to Patroclus. My current thought is that maybe Achilles’ instrument could be a violin. It’s graceful, can be played in high action scenes, and we have that lovely distortion of the instrument that can work beautifully when used properly. Oh yeah and it has an electric counterpart which Jorge can use for more supernatural moments in the story…or something like that.
CLEARING MY SCHEDULE FOR DECEMBER 6TH
IF THIS ISNT ACCURATE I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT IT LOOKS SO GOOOOOOOD
Because my brain isn’t decomposing fast enough with all of my Odyssey content, I have decided to make a playlist for songs that remind me of Odysseus.
So far I only have two songs, but I’m trying to expand on this playlist and am inquiring on any recommendations. I will have at minimum one Epic song I just don’t know which one yet.
For vibe example the two songs I’ve got are Leave a Light On by Papa Roach, and Ulysses by Josh Garrels.
I will be taking as many recommendations as I can
2 days until Odysseus gets home
I keep seeing many theories as to how Odysseus was able to defeat Poseidon in 600 Strike and I desperately need Jorge to confirm at least one of them.
So far the two I’ve been seeing a lot are what I’ll call the “Boon of Ares Theory” where Odysseus is being blessed by Ares as well as what I’ll call the “600 Shades Theory” in which The Shades of Odysseus’ fleet (and Anticlea) are are empowering Odysseus, hence the name “600 Strike”.
High key like the 600 Shades theory more, and I also need an explanation as to why the voicelines change for both Polites and Eurylochus. Why now does Polites say “you can relax, my friend” and why does Eurylochus say “after all we’ve lost and all we’ve learned”? Why those lines specifically???
Actively filing a request to Jorge. Every detail that’s written in Epic is INTENTIONAL.
Epic is the stars I see at night and Epic is the arms that hold me tight
Rip odysseus you would’ve loved joining jorge rivera-herrans on his trip to ithaca to celebrate the release of the final saga of epic the musical the ithaca saga coming out december 25th 2024
Do you mates think Odysseus or Telemachus will use the “close your eyes and spare yourself the view” line with Penelope before or after the uuuuh suitor slaughter?
Greek mythos brainrot is so bad that Odysseus king of Ithaka can grow mushrooms using my neurons
