Imagine first year Harry Potter looking for Fred and George to see if they want to have a snowball fight with him and Ron and finding an odd piece of parchment lying in their room. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter picking the parchment up and examining it, because he’s learning that in the wizarding world nothing is ever as it seems, not even old pieces of parchment. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter tapping his wand to the parchment to see if anything happens and, to his surprise, seeing thin, angular writing appear as if written by an invisible hand. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter’s excitement when the parchment reads: Mr. Prongs asks who is trying to uncover the carefully guarded secrets of the Marauders. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter whispering “My name is Harry Potter and I didn’t mean to pry,” before hurriedly trying to refold it and return it to where he’d found it 

Imagine first year Harry Potter’s astonishment when the writing reappears, this time saying: Let Mr. Prongs share his immense joy that Harry Potter has found this. He hopes that Harry will find the contents of this parchment useful and use it in a way that would make his father proud. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter’s smile sliding off his face as he says quietly, “I don’t know. My father’s dead, you see. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter’s confusion when the writing appears once again, saying: Mr. Prongs wishes to tell Harry Potter that while his father may be dead, he is still looking out for him and is incredibly proud of him. Mr. Prongs hopes that Harry Potter knows his father loves him very much. 

Imagine first year Harry Potter taking the map back to his dormitory and spending the rest of the evening talking to the mysterious Mr. Prongs about his mother and father, about whom the invisible man seems to know quite a bit.

-Regulus survives the inferi and goes into hiding. He sends an anonymous tip to the order about the horcruxes and peter being the mole.

-he continues to exchange anonymous info with dumbledore through kreacher. Eventually dumbledore is the first to figure out he's alive.

- The first order is able to defeat Voldemort in 1981

-Dumbledore vouches for regulus when he comes out of hiding. He continuosly offers him a position at hogwarts which he declines.

-Regulus had moved in with andromeda and ted after faking his death.

-after the war, Sirius and remus renovated and live at grimmauld place.

-Sirius often reaches out to regulus but always gets rejected, with his letters returned.

-Regulus never fully healed from his experience in the cave and suffers from ptsd/depression.

-after some convincing, Regulus takes the position as potions master in 1991. (Takes snape's place).

-alot of upper classmen vouch that he's a much better professor than Snape.

-Regulus is a black cat animagus

-Harry is sorted into slytherin and always writes home of how Professor black is one of his favorite professors.

-implied Drarry, with draco being close with his aunt andromeda too. Lucius serves time in azkaban and isnt able to set a bad influence.

-Regulus and Harry bond over quidditch and Reg gives him seeker tips.

-Draco is slytherin chaser and has a similar bond with James.

-lily and james divorce after the war but still remain friends.

-James and sirius become aurors, James being head auror.

-Remus still becomes DADA professor in 1993.

-Regulus is the one to help him with the Wolfsbane potion. They end of up bonding and becoming close friends.

-that same year, peter escapes from azkaban and the ministry still sends dementors to hogwarts.

-Sirius is assigned the auror to lead the mission of capturing peter.

-Sirius is able to reconnect with Regulus during his stay at hogwarts.

-it started out with them bonding (i.e, sirius annoying Regulus) through their animagus forms.

-Remus got tired of hearing rumors of a black dog and cat chasing each other around school grounds and forced them to start interacting normally.

-After being invited (Regulus prefers "harrassed") by sirius and harry about spending the holidays with them. Regulus finds himself falling in love with james and they start a relationship.

no, but just imagine.

it was second or third of november, an ugly, cloudy day and minerva mcgonagall lost her boys. she lost james and lily, great people, with all of their life ahead of them, with a son. it was depressing really, such young people  

she received a letter in which is wrote that sirius was taken away to azkaban. she knows he’s innocent, there is no other way!

and she screamed.

she screamed for the little boy, first year, who formed an unlike bond with a crazy-haired boy called james potter, with a tall, scrawny, scarred child called remus lupin and with a chubby boy called peter. 

she screamed for the second year sirius who came in her who came in her office at the end of the last term and, on a firm voice, he said “i want to take all optional courses”. for a boy that was always in the library that researched animagi “without a reason, i’m just curious.”

she screamed for a third year raven-haired boy who discreetly stared at his honey-colored hair friend and, despite it not being obvious, minerva knew. he fell for remus lupin. and he came out to her. firstly.

she screamed for a fourth year sirius black who excelled all of his classes, who looked in a special way at remus but then shook his head and laughed at one of james’ jokes and pat peter’s back and helped students when they needed it. she screamed for a boy that confessed his feeling to his best friend and, as they walked hand in hand in the great hall, she noticed that was the happiest he’s ever been.

she sobbed for a fifth year sirius who fucked up. badly. she remembers him coming in her office and crying, saying he didn’t think it’d get this far, and she believed him. because that was the truth. she knew he tried stuff he shouldn’t, she knew he cried himself to sleep. and she hugged him. later in life she found out that was the first, loving hug he ever got. and sirius fixed everything. they were the marauders again. and god was she proud when she found out all of his OWLs were all Outstandings and Exceed Expectations.

she cried for a sixth year sirius, now a runaway from home and she had to check up on him because he is her son. and he told her. everything. for a sirius black, all tattoos, piercings, long hair and even longer limbs with a laugh like a bark, who helped first years with directions and with studying. did peter’s charms essays when he couldn’t. he was turning into a man.

she cried for the seventh year sirius, happy and whole. she knew he had nights he didn’t sleep or nights he spent on the astronomy tower but she knew he was happy. he told her. she saw it. of course, he could be lying. but it was true, and they knew it.

she screamed for sirius black. a lover, a son, a friend, a student, a brother, a friend, a warrior with a shattered childhood.

she screamed. for her son.
