Dark Academia for Brown People

 Most people, when they think of dark academia is books (that’s the whole point) and ancient languages such as Latin or Ancient Greek. I’m here to tell you that you all are SLEEPING on brown culture. Love that is conveyed in the languages of Persian and Urdu (my native language) crosses borders. Sure, Shakespeare and Sappho wrote great pieces of literature but the stories and poems of Rumi, Manto, Hafez and Iqbal have a special place in my heart.

As someone who goes to an English-Medium school, we are always taught to converse in English, see the language as a part of yourself but deny a place to Urdu. As I grow older, I have come to appreciate my identity and so should all my fellow brown people. Take pride in your mother tongue.

Things that wouldn't have worked in Daredevil but which I'd have liked to see anyway:

- Matt using his super-senses to prank people. Bonus points if Foggy gets in on it.

- Karen punching someone out. Just knock em out then, like, fix her hair and walk away all cool and collected like a bad ass.

- More Matt interacting with kids

- Foggy's family treating Matt like family, that little thing at the end of season 3 when Matt calls someone Uncle just wasn't enough I need *more*

- Matt 👏 and 👏 cats 👏

- Claire and Foggy sharing a drink at Josie's and ranting about Matt together

- Frank 👏 and 👏 cats 👏

- Karen and Matt bromance. No idea how that'd work, but I feel like it would be epic.

- Matt and Marci bromance (see above).

- Something along the lines of Stick getting hit in the face with a pie.

What I love is that even though we didn’t get a good storyline for Elu after S3 we got all the fluffy fanfic material confirmed, like. Someone writes Eliott squealing at the sight of Lucas? It’s canon, we know it would happen, we saw it in S4. Lucas talking about his mec/boyfriend constantly? Also canon, we saw it in S4. Elu moving in together? Canon. Elu talking about marriage already? Canon. Elu wanting to adopt a pet together, especially Eliott? F*cking canon. We saw all that in S5. Elu clinging to each other at every given opportunity? Confirmed. Eliott working at a videoshop and Lucas visiting him and distracting him at work? Why yes, confirmed in S6.
